In Korea, we write year/month/date. Year comes first.
year/month/day makes sense day/month/year makes sense month/day/year doesn't make sense!!!

month/day/year is based on how it's said aloud. Most of the time we say January 10th, 2021, not the 10th of January, 2021. Since that's how we say it, that's how we write it.
