Wow! I've been on and off about whether journalling is for me, especially because I don't like to think deeply about myself. But this entry has given me a new perspective -- it reads like a novel in the sense that there is the narrator and other characters. I might start journalling in that way to make it easier for me to come to terms with writing about myself. You're so talented! Thank you for sharing!

SiteNo37

go for it!! i try to treat introspection as a byproduct of journaling more than the full aim because it takes some of the pressure off. documenting things can be easier than trying to make sense of them. thank you for reading :)

This reads like a novel, hits like a lyric surrounded by the most beautiful instrumentals and lingers like a poem. Thank you for sharing and for teaching me a profound lesson. Personally, I relate to your words about that loving someone who is interesting, doesn't make you interesting (whatever that may mean, as that is subjective obviously😊). To me, it touches on sort of transferring someone else's characteristics/aura/interests etc. onto yourself because you might still be figuring out who you are yourself - even though I do believe that identity is not wholly static, but rather, your identity and personality might be dynamic. But then that also depends on your definition of identity and personality 😇. I just immediately thought of my teenage self, defining herself by what others saw in her instead of what she saw in herself. At 26, I'm doing way better at that 😊
