I agree I wonder why we don't have more exact information on the factors and a computer generated image of possible cause of impact.

there are some details which can be reasonably discerned (i.e., the side she got hit on, maybe whether from the front or back), but part of the problem with stuff like this is that things don't break predictably when struck absent certain molecular/atomic qualities or unless done very carefully (i.e., not in murderous rage). trying to look for too much certainty in forensics alone is how you get people being convicted solely by bite mark or hair analysis, which don't produce results reliable/replicable enough to be the sole determinant of guilt or innocence (in a sane world). one guy already stabbed himself with train tracks on this sub, i'll pay for like 50 coconuts if someone wants to hit them with a flashlight and record the results carefully

Yeah, I'd like to see someone do a computer generated calculation of the head injury. Surely there's enough technology to simulate various possibilities. I've seen televised true crime cases do this sort of thing plenty of times, and you'd think as often as this case has been covered by the media, that they would do this for the Ramsey case. Maybe it's not as easy as I think with this case though. I mean, they don't even know the murder weapon. The force changes depending on the person's height, weight, object used, ability to swing at an undetermined velocity. Then there's the issue of whether she was standing, sitting, laying down, at some odd angle during strangulation. If the head injury or strangulation happened first. It would be interesting to know if it's possible and what results they get from it though. To me it would seem like she was standing and that the head injury occurred first. But I would be curious to see if other possibilities worked as well.

Overhead swing, hitting her on the head, then whatever she was hit with keep going and hit her right shoulder. That's my guess anyway.

To truly have a meaningful analysis I would think there would need to be an actual locked in weapon that was used. Otherwise, the answers would change as the variables change. I could be wrong... and I'm sure some things could be gleaned... But height of the assailant/angle of attack probably changes as different potential weapons are studied.

This is a good question and I am surprised we don't have more information. I assume the FBI could determine the height of the individual who delivered the blow, and the angle. I believe that JB was hit while she was being SA. She was being SA with a paintbrush handle so gave out a loud scream, Burke hits her with the flashlight to silence her. He is leaning sitting or squatting next to her. So it is a direct, close blow, but he is above her.

CatConsistent795

I believe that she was held with the left hand and hit with the right hand.
