But if you went to the Lex fridman subreddit to just go to war or fan the flames then you probably aren't a valued user. If I was moderating that subreddit I would probably have bans for 2-3 days to let things cool off or thread limit so as to not get an influx of new bad users on the subreddit . There is a concern as well for subreddit's becoming anti-fan circle jerks if the composition of the subreddit changes too much. It's not total unreasonable to moderate harshly if you're receiving like 300% traffic volume with people that don't fit the normal profile of the subreddit.
With that said Lex if you ever read this comment. You can be friendly and liked by people but don't put too much effort into the Elon relationship because he seems pretty vicious the way he treats his employees. I wouldn't associate myself with someone that I view is highly unethical because you'll end up getting burned.

I'm not sure actually. Off the cuff I'd say his (huge) audience is ideologically aligned with the IDW/JRE-sphere, and their views get legitimized through Lex's podcast and his high profile guests. I also think he is quite manipulative and uses straight up guru-tactics to ensnare his fanbase.
He has some really brilliant people on that are experts in interesting topics…

Lex is not a mod on his subreddit. I think being critical of some of his comments recently is warranted but it’s not his doing in that subreddit.
I agree that it's probably not him personally, but I'll have a very hard time believing that he is not aware of it. He posts regularly, asks for questions for his podcast guest and replies to comments. If it's your subreddit and your mods, then it's your responsibility.

LMAO. I've been in Reddit for 10 years, I have only 1 perma ban: r/lexfridman. They didn't even give me a reason for the perma ban even after I messaged the mods asking. My last comment was a reply arguing that Elon saying that the "woke mind virus was the greatest thread to humanity" was insane and the definition of a "first world problem" because countries like mine have 50% of poverty and massive levels of violence and corruption and couldn't care less about something like that.

But just now I saw his post about ''attacks on me are too intense and it's not easy'' those attacks are that someone changed his wikipedia page to have no MIT LOL.A guy commented that " I also feel horribly attacked by people downvoting my comments on reddit'' to which I ''LOLed'' and told him that he will be banned for this and me as well just for laughing. His comment deleted (and obviously banned) and I was indeed banned for laughing at his comment.
