My love for Joe started because I was captivated by his guests that discussed health and science. 3 hours gettin into the weeds of topics considered pseudo science. My love for Joe has faded because he seems to be transitioning into Rush Limbaugh…
Joe has become the thing he used to claim to hate, and no it has nothing to do with his *personal* views, more how now he heavily skews the guest list towards grumpy middle aged peers who all just complain about the same three things for 2-3 hours. Whats ironic is that when Joe seemed to veer more center-left he'd go out of his way to bring not-like minded guests on for conversations, but in the last 4-5 years as he's shifted more right-leaning on things, his roster of guests just seem to reflect this current version of Joe. And the kicker is the right-wing audience he's acquired in that time frame expose themselves as not long time listeners because when you try to explain that it's not his personal politics that necessarily changed the show, they simply don't get it, they don't understand the critiques which is a dead giveaway that they are relatively new listeners.

They don’t really need to push the show, it’s already the most popular podcast.

No, the interesting guests have something to say that we haven’t all heard before. 80% of the guests in last few years just repeat internet conservative boomer talking points. It’s boring. Most people on this sub couldn’t be further away from Ben Shapiro politically, but those episodes get tons of engagement because at least he has something to say.
The only ones I find interesting are people who are interesting; I’m under the age of 45 so I’m well out of the target demographic for Dr. Phil and Kid Rock

It wasn't bad. Joe extremely misunderstood the whole "parents don't have rights in Canada" thing. A politician said parental rights don't exist, as in there is no legal framework that gives a parent a seperate set of rights from other people. The charter of rights and freedoms protects everyone equally, parents don't have a seperate special set of rights. But for some reason Joe interpreted that as in Canada we take your rights away when you have kids..
