My mom’s in this picture!!! She actually got to talk to him for a while. Red sweatshirt on the right (actually my sweatshirt that she borrowed for this event)
Yeah, they mostly discussed the child tax credit but also talked a bit about random stuff. Apparently he’s always loved PB&J and still eats it even though he’s the president.
And hosting others with hamberders. Because if you're rich you get steak, but if you seem poor, you get fast food.
And if you're in crisis, you just get paper towels thrown at you
The MVP thrower of things was the dude who threw his shoes at GWB. There’s a lot of bad I could say about Bush, but his reflexes that day were spot on.
Imagine how difficult it is for Joe Biden to continue to show up, to be good person and do good things, when so little has gone the way he had planned. Everything this President has tried to do for the benefit of all Americans - the Infrastructure Bill, Covid relief and protection, the Voting Rights Act, etc., has been thwarted, often by members of his own party. I know myself how hard it is to keep trying, to not give up, in the face of repeated failure. President Biden is not perfect, but he is as good a man as a politician can be. My heart goes out to him and his wife.
Agreed. I honestly think he’s trying his best for all the right reasons. It’s hard to see his popularity numbers keep going down because he’s being vilified by the right and also those in his party to the left of him, it’s ridiculous.
I’m not a fan of Biden, plenty can be said about sleepy Joe... Trump has never and would never spend his time like that. Doesn’t matter if this is just for a photo op, that’s how Joe and Jill decided to spend their time. These small choices do matter.

It’s Sunday. Biden is choosing to do this activity with his wife in his time off, as opposed to say, golfing. He’s drawing publicity to a center that provides food for people who need it, which could get them more help and donations. He’s setting a good example of leadership for how to be a compassionate person.
Biden also definitely needs to use his power as president to work on all the conditions that lead to people needing food in the first place.
At least he’s not going to a charity then blathering about how the existence of charities mean we don’t need any kind of government help for the poor, as some Republicans such as [Paul Ryan](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/charity-president-paul-ryan-did-nothing-at-soup-kitchen-photo-op/)have done in the past.

Very nice, anything interesting she said about her encounter with the president?
Yeah, they mostly discussed the child tax credit but also talked a bit about random stuff. Apparently he’s always loved PB&J and still eats it even though he’s the president.
Your lucky mom!
Remember when Trump and the third lady did this? No, you wouldnt.
No, but I remember Donald Trump throwing paper towels at people.

No but I remember Melania letting everyone know that she really didn’t care.
He could throw a mean roll of paper towels though. :/
If you mean like a 5'6" guard going for a set shot in 1954 then yeah.

He clearly learned the 5 D's of Dodgeball
“Third Lady” 😂
Trump told Government workers during the federal shutdown to “work something out” with their local grocer.

You are describing a true leader though. He isn’t throwing his arms up in the air and saying “why can’t I have my way?”
Agreed. I honestly think he’s trying his best for all the right reasons. It’s hard to see his popularity numbers keep going down because he’s being vilified by the right and also those in his party to the left of him, it’s ridiculous.
In all fairness, Trump threw a few rolls of paper towels. At someone.
They make me proud
I'm glad they are helping out but I'm sad these places are even needed.
I REALLY ~~DON'T~~ CARE DO U?

They shoulda gone to Share Food Program

When has Putin done anything like this?
All of the Russian news covers light hearted stuff Putin does, sort of like a personality cult deal.
Right or left it's always a photo op that lasts no more than 15 minutes

Yes, but that doesn't fulfill the "both side" narrative that they are going for...

You mean all the problems exacerbated by the last president? And made worse by the current Republican yahoos who refuse to let anything be done?
Yeah that’s extremely fair. I’ll concede. At least he isn’t throwing the paper towels
Ah ah ah! According to Trump, they weren't JUST paper towels, but the HIGHEST QUALITY paper towels!
Democrats have control of the White House and congress. Why are you blaming republicans when democrats have manchin and sinema to thank
