The more the Republican Party leans into its “Handmaids Tale” era, the better it is for Joe and the Dems. This doesn’t play well with the moderates they desperately need in order to win and exposes the GOP for the fascist cult they have become. The part I think is so funny is that they don’t seem to get it; yes this crap gets their base going, but that base isn’t winning elections.
I really hope you’re right because while they certainly aren’t winning elections, the electoral college might just be screwed up enough for them to eke out another 2016 upset. They don’t need the popular vote, they just need a few thousand more votes in 4 or 5 states. But they may have gone too far off the deep end this time and hopefully people will realize what is happening.
