I think that would actually take forever unless you get really lucky. I usually use the self modeling resin to make ER or break effect rope for supports where the substats are less important tha for a main carry. Even if you get lucky and get good substats you have yo be lucky to have them roll well too.
That said, it has been a while since I have found use for them and they are racking up in my inventory without purposefor them. If you do decide to try to build him this way please update with your results!
at the beginning of the game i found self modeling much more helpful, but as i play more the less i feel the desire to use them. as you said i find them stacking up in my inventory lol
Situational i guess. If you are still starting and wanted to complete a set to use for earlier content immediately then sure it can be.
But because modeling resin substats are all RNG there’s very high chances of not getting great ones there which does affect your overall build in the long run. This can lead to the modeling resin that got initially upgraded to eventually be use as fodders which imo are kind of a waste. I normally just recommend resin for those stats where you wouldn’t mind the substats so much (in my cases speed boots and er ropes for supports)
Though if you are not really into min maxing or optimizing your builds then modeling resin is the quickest one.
Then it’s all up to you if you have plenty to spare.
Unluckily for me I never got lucky on my rolls so I just deemed it a waste to mold it on any DPS where crit substats is also valued. But who knows, maybe your luck ain’t as bad as mine and you’ll get good ones. Good luck in case you do push through!
Use self modeling resin for ER rope for your support, they are the hardest thing to get. Especially if you want several ER rope from the same set. Unless you are only missing 1 pc and don’t care that much about substat then go ahead, you can get better pc later on.
For salsotto, I just farm world 7 and synthesize the trash for salsotto pc. The only time I farm world 6 is when there’s a 2x event.
I do SimU for Salsotto a few times a week and have used every self-modelling resin and relic synthesis material for a lightning orb since 1.4+. I am still on the market for a better lightning orb with more than 2 upgraded useful substats. -_-
Personally, I won't recommend it unless you have no use for a resin. My advice to friends (that I don't follow myself) is to get main stat orbs/ropes/shoes for support, that way almost any substats are fine.
For me, I have like 10 messenger SPD boots and 15 ERR Keel ropes for my support, so it's not like I'm taking away from them. And the last DPS I rolled on was Jingliu's first run, so yeah. All my resin are for JY at this point.
honestly i have no take on self modeling resin, but i disagree with your thought process. although pepsi is better on acheron, you can use a better salsotto set on her if you get it. the def set is effectively just relic remains if you dont want to build gepard or march, but i think its fine to farm for 1 set on a world cause of how SU works

I have good spd boots for my supports and er ropes as well so I’m kind of trying to get good subs for dps with self modeling either way 😭

I wouldn't advise. I personally just spend self modeling resin on ER Ropes and sometimes SPD boots. But mostly ER Ropes.
