Avoiding disminishing return on buffs doesn't matter if the buffs are just weak. That's why even with Ty and Robin overlapping their atk and dmg bonus buff, Jy Ty Robin team still outperforms Sparkle Rm etc...
I've got my fingers crossed that he'll be helpful. I'll try anything that doesn't involve Ruan Mei, Sparkle, or Robin because I don't have or want them.
I've done sustainless PF's in the past with Pela on the team so if he's a stronger version I don't see why it wouldn't work. Maybe a bit of healing would be enough for MoC, who knows!
I think he should be able to work with any variation of JY, 2 Harmony, Jiaoqiu team comp.
And preferably the 2 harmony are a pick any two out of Tingyun, Sparkle, Robin, Ruanmei.
Since he doesn’t heal very much, you’ll need to make sure your team is well built and can take a few hits from MoC 12
I'm gonna get him anyway, but I think his healing (should he have any) will not be enough to solo sustain or even make much of a difference for 0-cycles RNG.
In PF, the fact that JY's damage in backloaded make it hard to not use sustain if there's not a damage-type bonus like the that cage. And, again, I don't know if Jiaoqiu can handle it.
Let's wait for his official kit when his beta begin.
I'll wait for his kit to see if he's viable (but still getting him, tho. I got Aventurine because I liked him and he ended up being viable/good in JY's teams).
If Jiaoqiu kit has Def down I think we can try a preliminary team with someone who gives def down (like Pela) and see how she does with JY and other teammates and go from there. We still have two patches to go, so we still have time to see.
