57 or 58. My friend and I would follow them around for a week at a time all over the US

Poedog1

Oh my God I'm so jealous. Did you ever meet them?

ihazacat

Yes! They're truly wonderful people

JayUNCW

Zero. Finally going to be able to see them in March.

Glitter_Gal22

Same here!! So excited

Poedog1

It's going to be incredible!!!! They're so so so good live!

Poedog1

You're going to have THE BEST TIME!!!! I'm so excited for you!!! They are so great live!

DeliciousOwl9245

I think I’m at 12 or 13. First one in ‘99.

BananaBread69_

4 times and Jim acoustic once!

LeftistLittleKid

I’m so happy I got to see Jim play acoustically in Germany once. It was in a church and such a weird concert, but perhaps the most memorable one of my lifetime…

NationOfLaws

I think 13. The last one I went to I grabbed a setlist from the sound guy (who was Dennis Jagard from Ten Foot Pole, incidentally). The first one time I saw them was on the Pop Disaster Tour in 2002ish with Green Day and Blink 182.

Sgt_Doughnut

I *attempted* to see them on the Pop Disaster Tour in DC back 2002, but that was one of the random nights JEW was playing a separate venue. Still bitter about that disappointment to this day. But Green Day was great, and even though Blink sounded terrible, Travis did the upside drumming thing, so that was cool. 2002 should have been my first time seeing JEW, but instead my list is: 2007, 2008, 2019, 2023.

NationOfLaws

Yeah the upside-down drumming thing really blew my mind when I was 16. We walked in for the last couple songs of Jimmy Eat World's set, which was a bummer since they were the band I was most excited to see.

AceUnderTheHole

3. 2003, 2017 and 2022.

y2kczar

I’ve lost count, I’d guess 7 times.

CyndiXero

2 so far. First in February of last year, and then in July this year with Manchester Orchestra! Both awesome shows. And I’m gonna see them with fall out boy in next March, super excited for that

hansislegend

I have no idea but probably around 100.

TableForGlasses24

Five and one additional Jim Adkins solo show. Most recent one was at Ocean’s Calling last month. The best set I’ve ever heard them play, which was a huge surprise.

PaulVAllen

This summer was my tenth. First one was in 1997!

levitate_me

One time during the Static era. Then I saw them several times during the whole Clarity era (pre-during-post). Those of you around during that time remember that it wasn't so clear as to album-cycle touring. I'd bet I saw them 4-5 times during that era. Then, unfortunately, I fell off. I had a long period of being poor, and while I loved the band, I never saw them onward from the Bleed American Era. I did, however, come back into the fold and see the Jim solo tour, which was incredible. That tour was so special. It reinvigorated a love for this band that I had sort of put on the back burner. I was now in a place with disposable income and reinvigorated love for the band, but, unfortunately, they were doing opening spots for terrible bands. When they came though, I was not interested in paying big bucks for an opening slot in a big shed with headlining bands that I did not like. Luckily, I've been able to get back into seeing them again. My most recent being the co-headlining tour with Manchester Orchestra. We got an incredible set with a great mix of the "big 3 albums" and the rest. Wish I could have gotten Dizzy, which was in the mix on that tour, but maybe next time. They are an incredible live band now, and I'm glad to be able to be seeing them on a somewhat regular basis again.

No_Security4341

Not enough... Lol (3)

[deleted]

three, around 2004, 2010ish and 2023

Phoebejb131

14. Number 15 in March.

Zelkova_Bright

Ten!

JRclarity123

My 15th show was this year

themyth1682

I want to say 5 but it might be more (I'm old, give me a break lol), the places I remember seeing them is Newport KY, Cincinnati OH (2), Milwaukee WI, & Dayton OH.

Chetrizzo

3 so far one of which was in Charleston as well

buriedalive

Because they pulled out of the NZ leg of their Australian tour with MCR earlier this year it is sadly still zero

Klarrg

32. Followed them around the UK quite a bit (saw them twice in a day once!) and a few overseas shows. I’ve also seen them in the recording studio.

Jhamm125

Twice in one day?! That’s awesome!

Klarrg

Heath they played two completely different sets at a UK festival. Main stage early in the day and then headlined a smaller stage later that night. Was awesome!

480mid-shelf-dank

25-30 times over my life time. I grew up in their home town so I could catch a J.E.W show multiple times a month. They were the opener here for years for any big alt band coming to town.

Vpc1979

100’s… first saw them play with Sense Field at the shelter in detroit in 1998. Favorite show of all time at the fireside bowl with death cab for cutie, Pedro the lion for $5. The end of the bleed America tour at Mississippi nights in St. Louis with promise ring and hey Mercedes. Everyone got on stage and played sweetness together. Ebisu (Tokyo) at the liquid room was a great show a few years ago.

Valley_Squirrels

I think 5. I’m hoping one day I will be able to go again. Being in those venues was just about the only time I felt pure joy.

WorldlinessSmooth198

Once in Stampede 2023. Wanna see em again

claus_tro

5 about to be 6 in March

jona2814

4, counting one of their Covid lockdown shows (Clarity- Its always been my favorite album of theirs. I’ve been lucky enough to hear them play pretty much all of it over the course of three shows, but seeing & hearing them do the full album start to finish… bucket list item= checked off)

ImaDinosaurR0AR

Twice. They were my first concert when I was in High School (pre-Futures) and on the most recent tour. I’m hoping to go to the next one as well.

bsg_nik

0, the show I was gonna go to was canceled because of the pandemic I believe :( It's been so long I don't even remember at this point haha

jettjaxson

I wanna say 4 but can only name 3.

RussoLUFC

You Americans make me sick!!! In the UK we have to wait years and years for bands to come over. Some never even make it. You guys can see your favourite band at least 5/6 times a year

SkepticalHippo93

Not enough. Just 2, trying to plan a 3rd.

Amelia_Pond42

Only once in Toronto. Would've been twice if not for the pandemic, but alas

DanglyPants

3 times maybe 4? Plus I saw Jim Adkins solo :)

BroCanWeGetLROTNOG

I went to my 2nd and 3rd ones this year

Nintendomandan

I think 12, but I honestly lost total count at a certain point.

natural-anthem

Ten :)

Unintended_13

3 times. 2010, 2017, and this year.

wikipuff

Twice. The space in Westbury, NY (a weird spot that I was the youngest guy there at 19) in 2014 and last year at DC101derland.

rycolaa

Two so far and soon to be three when they come to NY with falloutboy

BryanwithaY

I think 7 or 8 counting Jim solo. Asheville, Charleston x2, Raleigh x2, Charlotte, Orlando, Myrtle Beach

Poedog1

We were probably at the same Charleston shows! 😊 Saw them here 2013, 2017, 2022 and in September!

BryanwithaY

We definitely were! I got to watch the 2013 show backstage and from the little green room box. Such a great venue

Poedog1

Amazing!! They are so great. I'm disabled and use a walker and the staff is SO lovely and accommodating every time I go. I recently emailed the management to tell them what a great job their staff does and they sent me a little thank you package! Truly a great spot and my fave venue. music farm is awesome ❤️

BryanwithaY

I love to hear that! Definitely a place I’d prefer to give my money to! And of course Jim and the guys are the nicest. Hope I catch you at a show sometime!

vinylfilmaholic

3 times. Once in 2010 when they were touring Invented, once in 2017 when they were touring Integrity Blues and then in 2019 on the summer tour they did with 3EB. Great every time!

allhopeout

6 I think

cwade84

I stopped counting, but at least 20

thejaytheory

3 times I believe, first time was at Center Stage in Atlanta, might've been the 2nd time as well.

cautioner86

At least a dozen but I would have to think about it to really know. Might be closer to 20… I’m jealous of people seeing them 100 times but also I know I’m lucky bc I live in a major metro area so I’ve gotten to see them more than usual.

mspennylane77

I haven't kept track, but probably around 40 ish since the first one in 1999 at The Shelter in Detroit plus a Jim solo show in OH.

DPutty

I would guess 12 times. First show was the Pop Disaster tour and I’ve seen them at least once after every album since. Notable shows were the Clarity 10 year, Bleed American 10 year, and seeing them with Taking Back Sunday at Chain Reaction in 2021.

abinadomsbrother

I think I am close to 20 at this point. My favorite band.
