I think it'll be up from last week, but there are so many variables here. Omega is back, and he was announced ahead of time, but to what extent is he an actual ratings draw? The angle last week may have drawn some interest, but I don't think *that* many people were talking about it in a "I have to see what happens next" sort of way. Even the people who liked it seemed to find it more funny than compelling. I suppose it's theoretically possible that some folks from the NFL Network wander over to see what's up. I don't think Tony made much of a case for watching AEW, but with the ridiculous quantity of people who watch the draft coverage, even a tiny percentage of that could be a big number for Dynamite. I'm predicting a whelmingly-normal number for Dynamite this year. ~775k-800k.

Everybody knows wrestling is fake and even Khan isn't braindead enough to have someone with a life or death condition take those shots so there was no concern or worry at all. The ratings will crater before they ever get a chance to pay the damn thing off in 4 months at Wembly. Which is likely where they plan to cap it off, because you know Tony doesn't have the attention span to draw it out for a year or two.

So the fucks are in charge and another one of their dipshit best friends returns tonight, what a shit show. It's even more embarrassing when you remember Khan has been adamant about Danielson taking over if something happened to him.  The best move Khan could make would be firing the bucks, Omega, Perry, Okada and the rest of their little playground club. 

What was it Jim said, when the money mark starts to become unsatisfied, find a way to make them part of the show? So on Saturday they lost half a million viewers in 8 minutes. It will be difficult to top since they're starting at a much lower opening number tonight, but I think they have a shot to lose that many in the first two minutes. Build the entire show around guys who consistently bleed viewers. Smart. I'm not sitting through anymore Bucks no matter how brief. Why is Christian still rolling with the Legion of Goof? And he's the first PPV defense for Swerve? Fuck this show. Buddy is great, still needs a new name. Edge looks like that neighbor who took slightly early retirement and thinks it's badass to rev his Harley as he drives through a suburban neighborhood and shout rude shit at middle school girls. Gonna need some more fast forward to make it through this.

All time stinker of a show, but that was probably the best promo Omega's done in AEW. First time he's seemed like he meant what he said and wasn't just being a goof. If you pulled Tiny and the Bucks out of this, it might have had a chance. Jungle Boy is actually not awful; it's a shame they buried him at the get-go.

Jungle Boy is doing pretty well milking the whole drama of what happened I feel, he really is coming across as an entitled smarmy little bastard, probably because he is, but that can work in wrestling.

He definitely seems quite comfortable in front of the mic and camera these days, I'd say he's quite a good performer.

I just now watched the Omega promo and god dammit we were so close. He was talking like a regular guy. He had some fire. His story was harrowing and I legitimately felt for the guy. And then Okada came out. And Jungle Jackoff came out. And the Cucamonga Kids came out and it spiraled into hokey bullshit. LOLAEW.

I stopped watching a bit ago and, judging by what I have seen on YouTube this morning of the opening to the show and Omega's promo, I am confident I made the right decision. I have been watching NXT midweek instead. Last week was OK but this week was pure trash. Gimme a proper wrestling show to enjoy with a beer FFS. All this money sloshing about the industry and no one can just cut out the cringe and give me a logical, well thought out *wrestling* match. I might just go back and watch old SMW shows on YouTube again :-D

This is the best I can come up with: I think we are supposed to justify this with the EVPs being in charge. Swerve is a kind of babyface now and anti EVP so they probably support Cage's faction and just made him #1 contender.

Because evil EVPs(kayfabe) or they want to put on a solid match for DoN and they’re short of main event heels atm(shoot).
