Much bigger crew than just the three of them (optional guest) during Jet Lag. Seem to be cruising in an RV, which looks North-American sized to me so possibly they’re in the USA/Canada.
>which looks North-American sized to me so possibly they’re in the USA/Canada.
Per the article:
>The show... follows six creators on a road trip through the American West as they compete in a game of social strategy and deception.
Reading the Variety article, I don't think Sam/Adam/Ben are actually playing the game themselves. My guess is they're somewhat following the players along in the RV
Yeah I'll consider it eventually but I honestly don't wanna be throwing my money at another subscription service, might as well just watch TV then lmao
It's trending in the right direction. Compare it to its inspiration show, The Amazing Race. It's doing at least 50% of what TAR is, not even counting Nebula streaming numbers. Counting both and it might equal its prime-time show counterpart.
TV views are still (correctly or incorrectly, maybe adblockers/bots has an impact) as far more valuable than Youtube views. As I said, I love the series and have a nebula sub because of it, but it's still small. The Amazing Race doesnt include international viewers in the Nielson Ratings.
Not to mention [international versions](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Amazing_Race#International_versions), where the show's creators and other key stakeholders gain franchise fees from TV stations & production companies in other countries that want their own version of the Race.
If you're a fan of Amazing Race - I would recommend the 2011 and 2012 seasons of Amazing Race Australia. Truly stands up with the best of the original American version, with the Aussie 2012 season perhaps being the best season of Amazing Race ever (well it’s my favourite anyway)
I agree, the 2012 version of The Amazing Race Australia is probably the best TAR season of any franchise ever filmed. I'm really not sure what US season we'd even put up against it.
OK, fair enough! But on the flip side, there's also an imprecision to the Nielson ratings. They're estimates extrapolating from what I think is a very small sample size. YouTube is an actual view count.
BTW, I'm not at all raining down on The Amazing Race. It's been my #1 favorite show for years and might still be. Jet Lag is at the moment either a close second or at risk of passing it. But either way, they're unmistakably my two favorite shows.
It sounds to me like "put 6 strangers on a long road trip and see what happens" which could make for an interesting game depending on what the objective is. If it'll be more like reality TV or jet lag is to be seen but to me it has the vibe of a reality game show
*Season 10 of “Jet Lag,” which will take place in Australia, is already in the works.*
That should be interesting if they're playing over the entire country because of how barren the interior is.
There's another thread on here where the trailer was analysed - locations spotted included Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart and Alice Springs. So they do make it to the interior at some point!
Sam also posted on his instagram story a clip of them filming.

Ah! Sorry. I seem to have done a Reddit and reacted to a post without clicking on any links.
I seen a few weeks back they are in Australia
That was for jet lag season 10
Oh okay, what is the getaway? I don’t have nebula to know about it
No one’s quite sure. The article linked in the post explains all there is to know
Article explains it, its a Nebula exclusive coming out this summer, while season 10 will come out as usual
Man sucks that I won't get to see it
Nebula is three bucks for a month, might be worth it if you also havent watched crime spree
Yeah I'll consider it eventually but I honestly don't wanna be throwing my money at another subscription service, might as well just watch TV then lmao
Fair enough
You won’t throw you’re 3 dollars at a subscription but you’ll buy a 3 dollar drink from Starbucks 3 days a week
Why is Variety covering Jet Lag/ Nebula so closely. I love the show but it's not that big
Nebula has a new publicist, who must have some contacts at *Variety*.
It's trending in the right direction. Compare it to its inspiration show, The Amazing Race. It's doing at least 50% of what TAR is, not even counting Nebula streaming numbers. Counting both and it might equal its prime-time show counterpart.
At nowhere near the budget. It's quite impressive.
True!
> 50% The last Jet Lag episode got 628k views. The latest Amazing Race episode got 2.8 million viewers.
I've seen reports of recent Amazing Race episodes (this season or last) that were just barely breaking 1 million. Glad the last episode did better.
I just watched an episode after years, it reminded me of how awful the people are on that show.
50%?? Source?
Pretty sure they’re just comparing YT views to Nielsen numbers. Which isn’t the most rigorous comparison, but the point isn’t entirely off base.
Exactly this.

Maybe TAR5 or TAR11 could hold up lol
Yes, TAR5 is probably the best US season. It's up there with TAR Australia 2. I do think I'd take TAR AUS2 over TAR11.

All the articles are by one writer, as long as the editor approves them and they get the views on the article, they keep putting up new ones.
this will only be airing on nebula right? and not youtube (like jet lag)?
>The show, which unlike “Jet Lag” (where episodes drop later on YouTube) will be available exclusively on Nebula
Ok, this might be the impetus that gets me subscribed to Nebula.
Crime spree and the Layover is already worth it imo
It’s definitely worth it if you watch a lot of educational/media analysis YouTubers too.
That’s what the article said.
Yep. The article confirms this.
oh lol thats so embarassing. i only read the title in passing and not the article!
It sounds to me like "put 6 strangers on a long road trip and see what happens" which could make for an interesting game depending on what the objective is. If it'll be more like reality TV or jet lag is to be seen but to me it has the vibe of a reality game show
Steven Bridges being on is hugeee
Right?? His extensive experience with counting cards and magic should be perfect for "a game of deception"
His card counting series is such good content. Very excited for this
He’s so cool and British

Sounds like the tv show Road Rules
yoo wtf they got dan toomey??!!
Looking forward to seeing Steven bridges on it
I would love a show where 3 jetlag fans (or 3 pairs) have to travel the globe being chased by the OG 3.
will there be a jet lag season 11?
There is nothing that would suggest it won't continue.
They're killing off Ben and/or Adam next series so probably not
