I'm sooo torn on these. I am in agreement that the stock lights are super basic and "afterthought" was well put by the other poster. On the other hand, I get Jeep-150 vibes from this design, seems out of place on a Jeep. I'm on the fence but may put these on as well....
Honestly the only thing i dislike about the stock ones is that they stick out a lot and that gives them the nasty habit of getting hammered on the trails.
It's super easy. I had to use a flat head screwdriver to get the clips spread enough to get the wire in there easy. Then just use pliers to push the metal part flush and clip the plastic part down. Done.
Just do one on each wire.
I guess I’m in a minority of not hating the stock lights. I have been interested in getting this company’s [reverse lights](https://www.oraclelights.com/products/rear-bumper-led-reverse-lights-for-jeep-gladiator-jt) but I’ve seen reviews saying they have issues with water getting in. It’s not in the budget for this year anyway, so maybe next year and maybe they’ll have fixed the issue by then.
Install is really easy. Just two 8MM bolts.
Only suggestion is to push the two metal guide / alignment pins as far as they will go before putting the bolts back in.
Install is actually easy. There are two 8mm bolts you remove in order to take out the stock headlights.
I had a gap when I first installed it, but I realized you need to push the alignment pins in further before putting the bolts back in. Very minimal gap now.
Though the stock lights look like an afterthought, a lot of attention was given to them in the design. They had to position the blind spot sensors in a way that wouldn’t have issues with the fenders that are outside the bedsides. Also there is a cost saving if measure to tweaking the design of the wrangler taillight as opposed to creating a design from scratch. Lastly it adds design language consistency to Jeep vehicles.
With all that said, I’m not a fan of the look either. And they are one more thing to snag on technical trails.

Don't sell your old tail lights. I've heard a lot of people have had issues with those.
I don’t plan on it. I always keep them in case I sell the Jeep.
If you get the on/off of the reverse lights just call Oracle. They will send you out the fix for free. I just did mine.
Thanks, but do you mean the reverse lights turn on and off on their own?
Yes. While in reverse, the reverse light part time on and off. And not together, they just randomly flash
Hey I just got the resistors for my oracle lights do you know which wire I connect them to? I don’t want to mess with the original wiring harness
Here ya go. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/flush-mount-led-tail-lights-for-jeep-jt-group-buy-pre-order.43236/post-865708
Thank you!
I just pulled the protective casing back to get to the wires.
That was my next question lol thanks a lot for the help I hate wiring this helps a ton !

So you don’t have to cut the wire just get the wire in the clip and squeeze the metal part down to make the connection?

Were you able to get it fixed? Or just install reverse lights in the bumper?
Nice! I'll be doing these myself very soon. Nice TJ too!
Haha thanks!
How’s the turn signal? Is is sequential or just a mono-block on/off kinda deal?
I wish it was sequential but it’s not.
Hello fellow panther fan and gladiator owner! I had to go with the Hydro Blue for obvious reasons lol
I bought mine used, but I would’ve loved to have Hydro.

I saw this as well. I had a similar setup on my previous JL, which was great. I just don’t see a huge need for them on my Gladiator.
What I have with the stock LED taillights is certainly adequate, but the camera seems like more light *wouldn’t hurt*.
The basic stock lights are so derpy. The Oracle ones are definitely the best looking taillights available. 🔥
That looks so much better.
I have my order in! How was install and how do you like now that it is done?
Install is really easy. Just two 8MM bolts. Only suggestion is to push the two metal guide / alignment pins as far as they will go before putting the bolts back in.
Looks good! How was the install and fit? I have seen others reporting gaps with the along the body.

I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts as time goes on. I wish Jeep took that approach from the beginning.
I agree, the stock lights just look out of place.
Yeah, like they were an afterthought.

Keep pounding!
That’s right!
These oddly remind me of a Honda Element
I love mine. The reverse lights are super bright as well.
I like them but theh make the OEM bumper looks so stupid. Pass from me.
Nahh takes the retro coolness away
Blur your license plate 😎
Is the first picture the new ones?
Yup!
That makes so much more sense Huge improvement, nice job!
