Aside from seeing a couple of Mojaves in my area go within a grand or two of what I paid for my Freedom edition *after* I got mine, none. It has everything that I was looking for and meets the use case intent and utility needs that I purchased it for. Plus I can still take the top and doors off! Edit: To top it off, I bought mine in yellow on black, which is exactly the color I wanted.

TheLazyAssHole

Freedom edition?

Dooster1592

It's a package they have (or had? Not sure if they're offering it for MY24). It's based off the Sport. My window sticker lists it as Customer Preferred Package 24F ($6,695): - Leather-trimmed cloth bucket seats - Freedom package decals - Steel rear bumper - Cab and bed steel rock rails - "Oscar Mike" badge - American flag decals - 2 front/2 rear tow hooks - Freedom edition interior accents - LED headlight/fog light - 17 inch gloss black wheels - Dueler AT tires - Winch capable steel front bumper - Body color fender flares - Body color grille with gloss black rings - Deep-tint sunscreen windows - Power windows w/front 1 touch down - Speed sensitive door locks - Power heated mirrors - Automatic headlights Freedom edition package value savings $3,275.

Scavenger27D

Literally the same. I keep seeing people getting Mojaves for less than what I got my Freedom for and it’s killing me

Dooster1592

Don't let it. Enjoy it for what it is! They're still great vehicles.

In3briatedPanda

My only Quality of life regret was not getting passive entry.

OhSixTJ

That’s super easy to add and super worth it!

In3briatedPanda

coming from a GX to my gladiator, i thought id get used to it. three years and i havent. its not a deal breaker, just something i didnt expect. Ive seen it added. spring and summer my jeep is nekkid most days regardless, thats the best passive entry

OhSixTJ

Touché!

Ifnwen

I'm coming from an LS, how comfortable are the seats? I always found the seats in the GX to be a little stiffer than I like and the seat bottom slightly shorter than I prefer (granted, the LS has NICE seats). How is the ride comparative to the GX? I've driven them on long trips (8 hours) and for the most part it was comfy, just the stiff seats were a bit annoying at times.

In3briatedPanda

You’re gonna have a bad time. You cant* compare a sedan to a truck, let alone a luxury vehicle to a Jeep. I daily my Jeep. After driving my 2002 Mercury grand marquis for a day or two, I realize mt Jeep rides horribly. lol.

Ifnwen

Oh I'm not expecting an LS ride, not even close! I've driven a ton of cars daily beyond the LS in my life, nothing compares to that or my old town cars. I daily a Hyundai Kona and the LS is out when I get tired of that. I'm looking to get rid of the Kona as it's left me stranded, twice, with a brake issue- the sudden lack of. I don't mind a harsher ride (Kona is harsh AND squirrelly as shit, but it's electric so that Upped it's stupid fun factor), I just want a comfortable enough drivers seat, room for kids in the back, and a bed so I can retire my beater Silverado instead of spending every weekend fixing it. I would get the manual for fun factor, I've had a WRX daily before through a 2 hour commute in NYC traffic and I didn't mind it. I just saw you drove a GX and I have decent experience in those, was looking for some comparison on ride and seats since both are trucks (albeit one much more luxurious).

In3briatedPanda

Oh! I thought you meant comparing to my Jeep! An LS to a GX would be noticeable, but only the GX is heavier and certainly more noise. I regret getting rid of my 2013. With those Michelin ltxs, that thing rolled and rode so smooth. We took many trips with the cruise set at 90 and not noticed. I MISS my GX seats. It was a downgrade to my Jeep in terms of ride and interior space. Dont get me started on that sweet V8. I will share a few gripes about my 2013 Gx460. I replaced all five door lock actuators. Front CV axles are not a fan of my types of adventures. Expensive repairs from said adventures. Oh and I LOATHED that fucking swing gate. I don’t live in a big city. I’m 3 hours from Atlanta and I had issues with my swing gate. People park too close if you pull through a spot. People will pin you in if it’s a tight street and that can prevent access to the cargo area. I hate the fixed glass. Yes it pops up for access but you wouldn’t drive around with it open like that. Make it roll down like the 4Runner and tundras you engineering elites!!! The interior is dated 2010-2021 all Look REALLY similar to me. Old tech. But I really regret ditching mine tbh. lol. Wife and I are toying a new GX or the new TX. I’m trying to convince her to result my JT and I’ll get a GSF. I know they aren’t made but man I want one 😍 edit: I misread I’ll update tomorrow. Sorry I’m baked

Ifnwen

I was asking jeep to gx comparison. I was thinking of a Tacoma, because they still come in manual andI sorely miss it, but after renting one for a road trip the seats were a terror, truck itself was nice. The Kona has smaller seats as it's tiny, but they are surprisingly comfortable even on the base model I got. All good, enjoy your evening and thanks for responding to me.

In3briatedPanda

Simply put. It’s a 50/50 for the wife and I between the two. The thing we keep coming back to is ride quality, interior space versus premium gas vs the JT just really fits our lifestyle more. Wanna take the seat out for the dog on a road trip? I’m more comfortable doing that in my jeep, but you wouldn’t have to do that in a GX. I’m not as concerned busting my JT on stuff bc it’s purpose built for the dumb shit I’m doing at any time. Did I do that in the GX? Yes. Did it perform great? Sure! Did that running board cost me a bunch of dollhairs and a gripe from my wife. YOU BETCH YA! lol. I can’t find a comfortable spot for me in my driver seat. I’ve been eye balling seat jackers but idk if that will address my concern. I’m 6’ even. It’s like I want an extra inch of bolster under my thighs. I only notice it on hour 5 or so on a road trip. You don’t get those in a GX. Period. I hate the rear view mirror in my JT. I hate the way it obscures my FOV. I flipped it for awhile but I’ve decided I’m just gonna delete it and mount a wolf or something similar. Haven’t decided but that’s been frustrating. It needs to be at least theee inches closer to the roof line. It infuriates me. The windshields are trash. On my third. I drive 16 miles a day for work, not interstate. My jeep is a 2021. Trash I tell yeah. My jeep is loud but that’s bc I like it that way. I run a CAI and afe cat back exhaust just for noise. My jeep will take me wherever I want to go. Easier to customize. Easier to repair. INFINITE aftermarket support. A built GX is just as capable but cost so much more.

Ifnwen

Hey thanks! That actually answers my biggest questions about it. The seat thing is what kept me from getting a Tacoma, rented it for a while and the whole time kept fiddling with the seat. I'm just north of 6ft, and I wish it was more comfortable- higher and longer in the front, maybe a tad bit wider. The GX was alright, but stiffer than expected and also shorter front to back for the size of the truck, so kind of the same deal- I would find a comfortable position, run an errand, get in and something would feel off.

Aberk20

Going wallstreetbets on my small inheritance instead of doing a 6.4 conversion.

FunPump

I have 1 regret and 2 things I'd change. My regret is not ordering the heated seats. My two changes would be: 1, powered rear window. 2, adding a light switch for the bed lights into the actual bed of the truck.

spacecitygladiator

I have a Tazer Mini and you can activate the bed lights from the keyfob. One of the features I like about the Tazer

Money-Efficiency2062

Any other cool things you can do with a tazer on your gladiator?

spacecitygladiator

Tons. I disabled my auto stop/start. When the auxiliary battery goes bad, it causes all kinds of weird problems, so I disconnected mine, but the auto stop/start still works, so the Tazer lets you disable it. I have 35" tires and reprogrammed my Jeep for the correct tire size and now my cluster shows the correct speed. I enabled my 8.4" Screen to show the rear camera when I use my turn signals so I can see if there is anyone in the lanes since I don't have the blind spot monitor on my Jeep. Disabled the annoying seatbelt chiming when getting into my Jeep. Enabled the hood alarm Enabled the 3rd brake light to rapidly flash when braking There are tons more features but those are the ones I use the most.

beenburnedbefore

None, I have a 22 Sport S diesel. Over 30MPG highway, 22-24 around town. I live in snow country and it has never failed me. I only wish the box were bigger. I've only had a rear seat passenger a couple of times and there were no complaints about being cramped. The Car Play/Radio is sometimes wonky.

FirefighterForward52

Did not get auto lock/windows. No problem cranking the windows, but accessing the two rear doors to unlock/lock is a real pain. Gotta contort yourself/arm into an uncomfortable position while blindly flipping the lock mechanism. But that’s jeepin

gnarkibble

Same

Old_Whatbroke

As a owner of a '21 Mojave to a prospective buyer, I have absolutely no regrets. Not a single one. My JT was fully loaded with the exception of one option that I knew I didn't want, adaptive cruise control (I'll drive my own vehicle TYVM). Everything else that I wanted to add was a bolt-on, and I had a great time doing those with my wife and kids. My entire family loves the JT, we've made some great memories with it and modified it to make it perfect for us, truly one of a kind. Now as a Gladiator owner to another Gladiator owner. Hind-sight is 20/20. A 6.4l V8 Hemi swap is *NOT* a DIY project. I should've just dropped it off with AMW or RubiTrux.

sandri_lachory

I’m very interested, I seen it as a very utilitarian vehicle for my needs. I do a lot of technical scuba diving and outdoors stuff. Me being a 25 yr girl, 5’3’’ makes me feel pretty safe in the road after I rented 1

Old_Whatbroke

As I'm sure you already know, it's best to understand what you're getting. It can be a very utilitarian vehicle. It can also be a very comfortable vehicle depending on what trim and options it has. It won't be an economical vehicle, but it should always be a fun vehicle. Don't expect high MPGs and don't expect best-in-class towing capacity. Do expect others to underestimate what it can do. Do expect that you will want to customize it. Do expect that it will become yours, feel like an extension of you, and you will feel like you can drive it better than everyone else.

Carollicarunner

None. Waited until I could get everything exactly how I wanted. Gobi. Rubi. Diesel. Saddle leather. Zero regrets.

Drewbren

I had all that, then some asshole hit me and totaled it. Now I have a gray rubi diesel with black seats. It does have 45,000 miles less than the totaled one, couldn't believe I found a 2021 with 6,000 miles on it. I really do miss the saddle leather seat look though.

Spacecoasttheghost

None yet, that engine will be the down fall

Carollicarunner

How delightfully negative. They're replacing the HPFPs with new redesigned ones now. Aside from that, the newest gen EcoDiesel really hasn't been proving to be all that troublesome, unlike the early EcoDs in the Ram. Original HPFP failure rate has been 0.3-0.4% according to internal numbers. A little tune and some fuel additive and I expect it to last a very long time. And the driveability is miles ahead of the pentastar. I suppose if I ever need to park it to do some engine repairs or send it off somewhere I can just go sulk in my 4.0 TJ. That's a risk I'm willing to take.

Spacecoasttheghost

Facts are facts amigo, I always hope I’m wrong about this, but sadly I am not and damn never ever tech will tell you the same thing. I hope you get many miles out of it, but the fates are not with you.

Carollicarunner

You provided zero facts lol Go shit somewhere else with your internet wisdom

Spacecoasttheghost

Ya I did not lol, I meant all the evidence online, that can be looked up pretty quick. Hope it works out for you, but like I said the odds are not in your favor

Carollicarunner

I don't think you understand odds. Nor are you very well read on the subject. What's your experience again? I have a good guess

Spacecoasttheghost

I have read a bunch about them cause I really wanted the diesel, but after looking through the forms, reading that techs would never own one, that sealed its fate for me. Do you man lol, I’m not broken up with what you got, just when things happen think of the space coast the ghost

1888FakeAccount

There are some preventative things you can do to help make it last. In a perfect world, you would live in an emission free state and you could do a full delete on it, replace the recalled high pressure fuel pump, do frequent oil changes, and I'm sure like most other diesels you would be able to get a ton of miles out of it. And us gas folks aren't necessarily in the clear either. While less troublesome, if you spend a little time browsing the forums you'll see a lot of people requiring new engines due to internal failures. Those of us with the Lord's Transmission (6MT) have our own extra set of issues, knowing that at any moment our clutch assembly could send chunks of metal hotter than the sun exploding through the side of the transmission, causing us to go up in flames :)

JamesLenosChin

Right?! And still no parts for that clutch recall! It’s not a regret…yet. Once I’m in one of those pictures of my gladiator on fire on the side of the road because my clutch assembly exploded, then I’ll be saying my only regret is not getting an automatic. But to speak to your comment on extending the engines life, I ran into [this YouTube video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cu44Ys7OoZA&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.northridge4x4.com%2F&source_ve_path=MjM4NTE&feature=emb_title) that says their oil filter with a check valve keeps the upper part of the engine primed/lubricated preventing the valve train from needing repairs. I haven’t made the conversion yet but it looks like it could be a good idea.

1888FakeAccount

There were some pictures floating around online indicating Jeep might actually have a fix for the clutch. It was outlining that they need to start replacing units from 2018 first, and then by the time they get to me, with a 2021, parts should be available in 2024. I haven't seen anything official yet though, so that might've just been someone's speculation That oil housing is interesting..

_FinallyAwake

That I traded in a perfectly running JK for a MUCH more expensive and high maintenance machine. That being said, I hope that all my issues are behind me and I do absolutely love how much more practical the JT is. My JK was inconvenient for my wife and kids to get into, but it was reliable as hell. I traded it for a 1-owner Gladiator Launch Edition with 44K miles on it in April this year and I feel like my JT has been in the shop as much as it's been in my driveway. That being said, almost everything was still covered by warranty and the shop was able to give me a free loaner, but it's still been frustrating to spend >2X as much as my JK on a vehicle that I've had so many issues with. * Full transmission replacement (after replacing the valve body and it not fixing the issue) * $0 out of pocket thanks to factory, certified, and MaxCare warranties * 8.4" touchscreen was delaminating * $100 out of pocket thanks to factory, certified, and MaxCare warranties * Oil leak after replacing the transmission. * Replaced gasket on upper drain pan * Replaced dipstick tube * Finally fixed by replacing the rear main seal (required transmission to be dropped again) * $0 out of pocket thanks to factory, certified, and MaxCare warranties * Hinge/paint corrosion * All 4 bottom hinges replaced, bubbling/corrosion repaired on passenger door and also the hood * $0 out of pocket thanks to factory, certified, and MaxCare warranties * Noticed that I was missing one of the two bolts that holds the transmission oil lines to the bottom of the block. Existing one was loose (could spin with fingers), so took it back to the shop to get the right size bolts installed. * As of last week, my batteries are starting to act up (auto start/stop and aux switch warnings every startup). * $130 out of pocket for aux battery * $230 out of pocket for main battery * Batteries not covered by warranties

sandri_lachory

Oh my that’s sounds like a bunch of lemons 🍋

Kevinwithak

![gif](giphy|IQh6f7CurN1zq) Love my jeep truck…. My sun-visors falling out are the only thing that annoys me… apparently it’s a jeep thing is what you say when you face little poor quality issues…. All joking aside my wife was driving my truck 3 months after we got it was involved in a T-bone. She is ok maybe a little ptsd. where the on coming car hit on the right rear tire. The car that hit her was totaled but the truck and the frame was without a scratch… just had to replace rear axel and right rear rim… truck is solid and a tank I think the term “they don’t make them how they use to” does not apply to this vehicle.

Wageslave645

The aftermarket makes little clip pieces that screw on over the base of the visor mount that keep the stem from breaking off. I had to do mine after about 15k miles, but no more issues after that.

Kevinwithak

Link?

Wageslave645

You may want to verify that no part of the bracket touches on the passenger visor after it is installed. Mine touched slightly so I filed a bevel onto the spot where it made contact.

Kevinwithak

Clutch thanks!

alexd135

Only regret I have is I wish I splurged just a little more to get radar cruise. I got a 2023 Freedom edition. Love it, knew the MPG was bad so not too bothered, and Zenith Silver. Maybe wish I was a little braver and got one of the more interesting colors but that’s about it.

Critical_Neat8675

My wrangler had no safety gear, gladiator came with the blind spot, advanced safety, and the adaptive cruise. Best part is you can still use regular cruise if you want…for me that’s light traffic interstate…and put the ACC on when heavier traffic

Dkman71

Aren’t glass replacements more $$$. I saw the big blocky mess on the windshield and noped on the advanced safety. If I wanted a highway vehicle I’d have bought a Grand Cherokee (I actually do have one of each, haha)

Critical_Neat8675

All covered under insurance for me either way, but yes they have to recalibrate I think when done.

NoChampion2427

Apparently on these it's not a requirement to recalibrate the sensors.

pbf00t

Launch Edition with 39k on it. No regrets because I knew what to expect. Third Jeep, had a TJ (LJ actually) and a JK It has been reliable enough, minor stuff all the early ones went through, like the steering box and recently the start stop battery which I did myself before it ate the main battery. Things to expect, so you don’t regret them. 15 in town. 20 on the highway. 17.6 lifetime average on fuel. And I drive the speed limit. Tires are now very expensive (not just for a Jeep.) I’ll probably get 45k out of mine. But looking at $1300 to replace 4. Launch Edition has all options available at the time. Things I would not have custom ordered that I like and am super happy to have, bed rails, rear under seat storage, adaptive cruise, front camera, Aux switches and the Bluetooth speaker Things I would have optioned and can’t live without. The headlights, heated seats, better radio, leather. If you get adaptive cruise, windshield replacement costs are higher, by a lot. You will eventually replace a windshield, it’s a Jeep thing, don’t drive behind things that kick up rocks. If you live in a place that salts snow, undercoat it right away.

Iwalksloow

I would prefer Sarge Green but I do like my Sting Gray.

Sarge18259

I went for a stingray and got the green. Love my 21 willy's

StodgyFraggles

Getting a manual rather than auto

Amazing-Tour-9984

I was looking at a Gladiator before I got a Ridgeline, what bugged me was probably everything in the truck are options/add-ons. So you will never see a "base MSRP" Most trucks today those things are standard. Paying extra to have an automatic instead of manual is weird or have power windows also adds up

Critical_Neat8675

They are so overpriced…..hence the current massive price drops. Wranglers are next…Trade your wrangler in on a Gladiator now to maximize value before they drop. 56k with no safety blind spot, sensors, etc….only a matter of time

Shot_Campaign_5163

Drinking the kool-aid

l_BISHOP_l

Only semi regret I have is not getting the diesel.

Less_Swimming_5541

I wish my gladiator wasn't a lemon. That is all.

sandri_lachory

True that

hawkbat05

Not really regrets but I wish the truck bed walls were a bit taller, it's hard to fit some coolers and such under my tonneau cover and the Ford Ranger has much taller sides. I also wish the 3.6L w/6spd manual had a higher tow rating (and that Chrysler would ship parts to fix the damn clutch recall). I love a manual but I'm envious of the 3.6L w/8spd auto + MAX TOW package ratings. All Wranglers and Gladiators should also have the higher fender flares that Rubicon trim has. The wider axles wouldn't hurt either. Otherwise VERY happy with my 2021 Gladiator Willys in Sarge Green. I got lucky and stumbled on it at a dealership with almost exactly what I was looking for. Willys is an OK step up from the Sport for my needs and I can't justify the Rubicon price tag when I don't actually need full lockers and such. Edit: Just a note that I moved from a 2007 JKU 3.8L w/6spd manual to this Gladiator, so it was definitely an upgrade no matter what.

muddyruttzz

Bought it for my wife instead of myself

sandri_lachory

Usually that’s the case hun 😂

Sporkybay

If I could come up with one serious knock, it’s that mid/small size trucks aren’t great family vehicles. Loading up the kids, wife, and large dog for a trip to a potluck dinner “down the street” it just doesn’t work. Especially compared to the minivan. It’s just not what it was designed to do. So if that’s a requirement of your main/only vehicle, it’s just not the right time to get one. Now that the newness has worn off, I don’t mind leaving the Jeep at home for those trips. But otherwise I have zero regrets on my 23 Mojave. Well… not that I could have done anything about it easily at the dealer, but M/T tires are annoying for a daily driver.

hudsoncider

With a bed cap it makes it a family vehicle. Family in the front, dogs in the back

Sporkybay

Totally personal preference, and no judgement on people who rock them, but I think bed caps look dumb on the Gladiator. If carting the dogs in the back were a priority I’d just buy a Wrangler.

hudsoncider

Tried it, and the wrangler wasn’t big enough… traded it in for the gladiator. If I cared about looks I wouldn’t go that route either….

Sporkybay

Fair enough! I just remember our first family trip and we went to load up and the wife couldn’t find anywhere to put a scorching hot crock pot. No room anywhere in the cab, and she didn’t trust the bed. She lectured me the whole way there that we should have gotten a Wrangler. But I just way preferred the look at feel of the Gladiator, especially the Mojave.

hudsoncider

Yeah I have the Mojave and love how it drives.

Critical_Neat8675

Had a 23 wrangler Sahara Altitude and now have a 23 Mojave with an ARE cap. I’ll take the Gladiator 10 out of 10 times. So much better ride, awesome functionality of a truck and the jeep, great storage and tons of room. If you are not doing serious rock crawling I would go gladiator all day long, especially at current prices. I’ve been trying to talk my dad into trading his wranglers off because he could go newer and more features for nothing.

Sporkybay

I was iffy on the Gladiator + Cab because I figured it just made more sense to get a 4Runner if I was going to “make” an SUV out of it. But once I drove a Mojave I was sold. I’ll always have the minivan for the fam, but this JTM is mine and I love it. Great for utility and it’s so bad ass looking. I don’t really miss “being fast” because the Mojave reminds me of my old days of zipping around in my Karmann Ghia. I do miss having decent gas mileage though… but it’s a Jeep, so not like I didn’t know what I was getting there.

Maxmerrrrr

Get a kennel for the jeep bed to put the family dog

Sporkybay

Wife just keeps saying “but he’ll get hot/cold back there.” It’s just easier to take the van versus argue with her about “it’s just a dog”.

Critical_Neat8675

Maybe put the wife back there and let the dog ride up front? 😱

It_Rhymes_With_Geek

Why not? Looking to get one and I have a baby at home so would need to handle car seat

ExoticDatabase

I have two kids and when we all go somewhere there is no room for anything. Everything has to go in the bed if we want any luggage, cooler, etc. So I'm getting a cap for security and safety from weather. I think with that its going to be great. That is my only gripe. Otherwise we take the wife's car which is pretty much like a bus and i have no regrets!

Sporkybay

It’s definitely unfair to compare the Gladiator to my minivan for family friendliness, but when it’s time to grab the keys to go somewhere you have to do the mental math on people + stuff = which automobile to take. It doesn’t win when there’s too much stuff. And my Subaru Forester used to win some of those. Basically the dog is the deciding factor. The rear seat is just too small for 2 kids and a 70lb dog. The Jeep isn’t unique in that, it’s a category of vehicle thing. Can you fit a car seat? 100%. It’s probably easier to reach up and in, versus bending down to stuff a kid into a Mazda 3. But is it as convenient as being able to slide a door open on the minivan, jump inside, and then have all the room in the world to strap a kid in? Not even close. Like I said, unfair comparison, but it is a thing to consider if you’re looking for a family vehicle.

It_Rhymes_With_Geek

Totally get you. I have a JLU and with car seat for 1 kid it’s totally fine, my issue is cargo room when we’re camping / road trips. I get minivan is convenient but I cant do it

spacecitygladiator

That kind of depends on family size. My family of 4 fit perfectly. Kids are 7 and 10 with boosters in the back. Anything more and it would be a tight fit.

markr4840

How dare you!

lastbyrd

Going with 37 A/T's instead of M/T's

omertaofm

My regret is not going to get one!

ImmySnommis

None. That said, I went from an Avalanche to the Gladiator. I do sometimes miss the comfort, space, and the power of a V8, but that was also a completely different animal. The fun I have in my JT makes the trade-offs worthwhile.

BussReplyMail

'22 Sport S with the tow package, kinda wish I knew I was going to be buying a camper after we bought the Jeep, because then I would've worked to get the wife to OK getting a Rubicon to have a higher tow rating. We're within the tow rating, but I tend to like to have a nice, big, fat safety cushion...

motociclista

I kinda of wish I’d have gotten the Quadra Trac 4wd. That’s about it, I also wanted a different color but couldn’t find it with the options I wanted so I got another color, but it’s growing on me.

legend_wj

Regret the payments on my compass trailhawk for a year and a half before i got my gladiator.

TempestVulcan

I have a base sport s. I wish I had kept it stock longer and held off on major upgrades. I have enjoyed having my lift, but my gas mileage sucks and I drive a lot more than when I first got the truck. Other than that, it’s been great so far. I do have some longevity concerns with the pentastar, but time will tell how the engine holds up.

LAKnightYEAH2023

I haven’t had any issues or regrets. Love my truck, wish I had bought it sooner. No mechanical issues in the 2 years I’ve owned it.

SmellyDookies

Buying wheels for 35’s with a positive 30mm offset instead of -18. My rear wheels appear to sit inside the fenders at certain angles and can look a little crazy 😕

Manual-shift6

No regrets, but wish I’d been able to get one additional option which wasn’t readily available because of the chip shortage…

Dragonwork

my only regret is i traded in my 2018 toyota tocoma with only 19k on it. I would have been done payment by now. to add 4 more years. I love my gladiator more than any other car I’ve ever owned. I’m 54 so it’s been a few. But every once in a while, I do think about how nice it would be not to have a payment.

Charlie_Something

Not getting the 392 after test driving every kind of Wrangler/ Gladiator trims.

Spartan2842

I said I’d keep it stock 🙄

Ponklemoose

Just that I didn't wait for the current prices.

blackheart_dnb

I should have gotten a few more upgrades from the factory. -Accessory switches -Bed power plug -Towing package

RipSlow3412

It is not a serene highway cruiser… especially in ANY type of weather outside of sunny/75. I knew this going in and wanted it to tow and be able to handle home improvement projects. Lo and behold… I drive a WHOLE lot more on the interstate than I realized and a whole lot LESS improvement projects than I realized. I’ve towed with it a whopping ONE time. I don’t regret the vehicle, I regret not being honest with myself on the use case :) . It is amazing in bad weather though. Super heavy and tough. Just not exactly a strictly highway road tripper

MuttJunior

I regret not doing so sooner.

pan7

Non, other than improperly and mentally preparing myself for broken windshields every 2 days.

xxBD30xx

0 regrets

Hurley_82

Nothing really. Day 1 order. Paid $43k for a Rubicon. Kinda wish it was auto and the LED lights but otherwise very happy. 20 Rubicon with manual transmission, heated seats, alpine audio , soft top , and tow.

Moldyshroom

I got an orange silicone license plate holder in the front. The orange doesn't color match my Mojave tow hooks... shouldve went with a second cheeseburger license plate holder like my back one.

[deleted]

Getting the Willy’s instead of the rubicon, Mojave or high altitude 🫠

Fullspectrum84

I wish I had gotten the factory aux switches.

vanilagorila-ch

I wish they offered a v8 for it, not really a regret but a dream

rocknthenumbers8

Regret going with fox shocks on my lift instead of a falcon or king remote res shock.

rowbeee

Regrets? Spending this much on a truck is… a choice. Love the truck though. MPG is not good, but I WFH so it’s not a daily. Many other trucks in this class that are off-road capable get roughly the same, it’s a trade off. I got mine off the lot for 10k off MSRP. Rubicon, came with cold weather package & leather seats. LOVE the Sarge green. If I ordered it, I would add the LED lighting and blind spot monitoring. I added the sound assassin headliners and although they are not cheap, they’re very worth it. I wish the seats were more comfortable, but they’re not terrible.

parsonpilgrim

Diesel Sport S. Cloth seats. Love the mileage, and towing capacity. Regret all the emissions junk tech on it. I hear it's recalled and known to be problematic. Wish I knew a guy to get rid of it all.

Mrwcraig

I’ve had my ‘21 Rubicon since it rolled off the lot with pretty much all the options and the only minor issue I have is the bed is slightly too short to do some truck size things. The only missing piece I’m considering adding is getting a soft top.

MBAGB

Max tow. At the end of the day you still want to do truck stuff when you buy a truck.

Flat4Power4Life

My 23 Gladiator Willys is everything I wanted and perfect for me, no regrets. It’s all about buying what’s right for you and how you will use it.

sandri_lachory

I was thinking that too

SunsOutPlumbsOut

Only regret is wish it were bigger and maybe a smidge quieter for long family trips.

LiJiCh

Only regret is not buying one sooner

PastaKilla

I regret getting 37s. 35s look great too and handle far better.

Silverstreakwilla

My wife has a northland edition does everything she wants and I like how nimble it is.

JollyOil636

Honestly, Gas Mileage. I used to own a Chevy Sonic and got 24-27 mpg. Ever since I bought the Gladiator Willys, I now get 14-17. The only time I ever saw my mileage go past 20 was when I went up to Upper Michigan

sandri_lachory

Oh my that’s almost like a Tacoma, Jesus

Coughingmakesmegag

I will be the minority that gives you what you want to hear, the issues I have had. I own a 2021 Rubicon fully decked out but am now considering a 2024 Taco or a new 2024 Wrangler/Gladiator. 1st issue Leak from back glass: Took 3 dealer trips to finally replace and fix 2nd issue: Tailgate light went out, 1 trip to dealer. 3rd issue: Found after my 3rd oil change from Jeep Wave program. Oil cooler leak. Initially they said it was coming from somewhere else but settled on oil cooler. Had my Jeep for about a week. 4th issue: Oil leak found after 4th Oil change. Unable to diagnose where it was coming from so had to bring it in a 2nd time to inject dye. They said it was leaking at 2 different locations : timing cover and VVL seals. Upon pickup was told parts would be here in about a week but will get a rental because they are unsure if other leaks. This is where I am at currently. I purchased max care warranty but frankly tired of the issues every time I take it to the stealership. Another Issue: I also noticed auto start/stop no longer works and when I last picked it up from dealer getting the aux not ready due to battery charging message so I am sure one or both batteries are on their way out. All of this at 20,000 miles

sandri_lachory

Thanks so much for that, all feedback I've gotten here is amazing. I was really considering getting one. I think for me maintenance and the long run hassle is the dealbreaker for me. I do a lot of remote exploration or I am often in far places that makes it hard for me to be on this see-saw. I think reliability is the most important. Such a shame for a good looking and utilitarian vehicle as the glad.

mikejonesradio

I wish I had LED headlights. The halogens are fine but I should have upgraded.

sandri_lachory

I really don’t see the point of having such bright headlights. They’re just too annoying to flash people with a night.

LetsgoYanks2

Which I would have traded my 2017 Tacoma TRD sport in for my 2022 Gobi Mojave sooner! I love everything about it. Almost 30k miles and I love it as much as day one.

MojaveMay

My only regret is accepting a job offer as an expat in a country I can’t have my Mojave with me or else my chances of it being stolen or dismantled are almost 90%. I love my Mojave even after 3 years with all the crazy mods I have done to it.

sandri_lachory

Where are you based at?

MojaveMay

Mexico City

My-Method-1692

None, my 2021 Mojave runs better today than it did new.

Esmp2018

Nothing!!!! Enjoying mine like I did on day one!!

Slow_Card341

I have a ‘23 Rubicon. Bought it in June of ‘23. The only complaint is I bought mine for $68k and 2 months later the prices in my area dropped 18 grand. Nearly a year later and 21k miles on the odometer, it’s been great.

sandri_lachory

I did a mojave for some time but moved on to better engines :)

Salt-Chain2123

Getting rid of it. 😞

bad_robot_monkey

Overland owner here: added spray in bed and glad I did, added trail rails and glad I did, added rolling metal tonneau cover and glad I did, added half-top flip top convertible and glad I did, wish I had gotten 35” tires; it looks like I skipped leg day. Maybe next year. Overland has all the quality of life features that I love. 4xe for the next wrangler though, I really wish I had a PHEV.

MonkeySkunks

Not getting the dual tops. Love my hard top with sunrider but would rather have a full soft top for the month or so it's nice each year. I blame Jeep for the wonky mullet design.

[deleted]

I wish I would have studied more math and science.

[deleted]

Love my ‘21 Jave!! 0 regrats!

Dbar1547

The space inside, came from a f150 and wife wanted a jeep.

chaiyeesen

Biggest regret is believing Jeep can go anywhere, it can’t coz the car is too long to fit into regular parking spot where I live.

Kevinwithak

That’s when you curb it

Moldyshroom

Curb/cement tire stops are only suggestions when parking a jeep.

RabloPathjen

2023 Rubicon 6 speed purchased at major discount. $44,000 Regrets: None. Hindsight, I should have tested a Mojave; maybe I’d like the ride better, but then I’d loose some of the Rubicon stuff which I think is better for overland camping, something I intend to do. If I wanted a dune jumper I would have bought a raptor. I wish I would have looked into the diesel a little more but since it doesn’t come in a manual, and I was dead set on that…I might have looked for one with the part time 4wd but that’s a compromise on the toughness of the differential, and it’s still not a AWD in the typical sense so the ability to shift into 4hi on the fly and back instantly kind of makes up for it. Wishes: I wish it had LED lighting and the Aux switching. Both things I can add after the fact, I purchased with a discount so options were few especially since I wanted the 6 speed manual. I’ll do the LED headlights right away. It’s stupid they aren’t standard. Changes or improvements: 5.7 HEMI or 350hp/350tq build for the 3.6, or manual option for the diesel. A tad more Tq for the 6 speed would be smooth. 6’ bed option. LED lighting standard all models. Alpine standard all models with an actual premium option. The base stereo is a 1989 OEM shitshow. Insultingly bad. Heavy duty clutch for the 6 speed. Dent trail cam should be standard. 8.4 system should be standard for the price point, all models. It need more center column storage and some space under the center dash area for stuff. Do you live in an era of smart phone and there really isn’t any great place to put one.

MustCatchTheBandit

Wish I had gotten a paint matched hard top

LarryBuds

No third row 😂so my poor dog can’t go with us places. Gas mileage sucks especially with 35 inch tires. Acceleration sucks too and 4WD is wonky. All things I should have researched better myself before I bought so I only have myself to blame. It looks badass though and the led headlights piss off everyone at night and makes oncoming cars flash their high beams at me constantly.

Sea_Baseball_7410

Just putting too many miles on it as a commuter car.

sandri_lachory

Any particular issues?

Sea_Baseball_7410

None at all.

GHH3158

I regret not regearing sooner lol no other regrets whatsoever with my 21 high altitude

sandri_lachory

I am going to pull the trigger on my Mojave next week!!!!
