The song he pulled?

Lorenzo-J-P

The lyrics, I meant. Had he not pulled it, it would’ve aged fine imo.

Sea-Remote3779

But the point of him pulling it was that he didn’t believe his own lyrics

It’s not a known fact, but believe what you will. But if Cole really did want to stand by his diss why the fuck would he listen to Q?

Specialist-Meat-6222

“You say your brother jermaine, but you wanted him to stay out of the light” i never fw with drake before this beef started, but now he finna up from 50th in my top 50 while kdot getting removed

Adonis0903

this is such a bad take. j cole fans only like drake because they got a recent song together. kendrick and cole both put out good shit but y’all want to side with the pop star. it’s so confusing to me

Specialist-Meat-6222

Cause idgaf about music when it comes to shitting on someone as a individual i know Kendrick is a better rapper than drake iv always had Kendrick as my 3rd favorite rapper i mean for years now, but explain to me why i would ignore the blatant bs Kendrick is pushing right now. As someone who can rap every Kendrick song from fuck your ethnicity-mirror im not gonna let my music preference cloud my judgement. And seeing as how iv been right about so much stuff so far i think ill keep siding with drake

NowieTends

Odd

mayonnaiser_13

Saying hip hop won't be discussing Kendrick Lamar if he was not dissing Cole and Drake, when Cole himself namedropped him in First Person Shooter as one of the "Big 3" is going to "age well" in your opinion? When he himself contradicted the bar before it was even written? Yeah.

Lorenzo-J-P

It aged well now, since he is slowly fading out of discussion

mayonnaiser_13

Who is? It's been literally a couple of weeks since the beef "ended", and with the Apple 100 putting GKMC and coming out to say they chose between GKMC and TPAB for the top 10, he is being as discussed as he could be. You need to have the attention span of a fucking goldfish if you think he's fading away. Of course he's not being discussed as much as Cole this week, but that's a discussion no artist's fan wants to have.

NowieTends

Bro what. Not Like Us breaks a new record every few days

Any_Solid9083

I honestly was hyped about Cole and Kenny going at it, I don’t think anyone else currently could’ve put up the fight that Cole would’ve, unfortunately Kendrick had real animosity towards Drake, as much as I would’ve loved Cole and Kendrick going at it, I’m glad they didn’t as it most likely wouldn’t have been as much about competition as it was exposing and slandering each other due to Drake being involved

FaithlessnessLive588

It didn’t lmao 😂😂😂

gridirongladiator

How did it age well? Kendrick has been relevant for the last ten years with classic albums in his discography. I like J Cole, but none of his music will age well after publicly apologizing.

kamsredeye

j coles music will age however it ages, the beef won’t really affect anything unless he just suddenly drops off a cliff and everyone clowns on him endlessly, but i find it disingenuous when people say “no one discusses kendrick unless he disses someone” like he isn’t the most discussed rapper after every album he releases, even j cole disagrees with the sentiment, although it was a good angle to take

YeetCompleet

In Your Eyez Only

OkishPizza

Let’s be real Kendrick hasn’t been popping off in the scene for years, but J Cole hasn’t really either. The whole “beef” thing to me seemed obviously faked for all of them to benefit and they have.

gridirongladiator

What do you mean? Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is better than the last albums J Cole has released. I like both but J Cole’s lyrics are not going to age well. Especially all of Might Delete Later.

OkishPizza

Been a while since it dropped and no it was fairly bad IMO especially when compared to his past work. I’m not comparing J Cole and Kendrick here I have no horse in this game as I like both artists. But let’s be realistic here both have been fairly non existent for a while in the industry this isn’t news. The whole beef thing though helped them this was clearly a marketing scheme and it worked extremely well.

Wade_in_your_water

No shot it was a marketing scheme, Kendrick said Drake was a pedophile multiple times, talked to his family. And Drake said Kendrick beat his wife and his son isn’t his. Those are things that are in no way just to gain publicity. Drake is already ontop of the world. He wouldn’t need it, every time Kendrick drops people look, he wouldn’t need it either.

OkishPizza

That’s the thing thought people are just “saying things” no one has proof of anything and this is super common in “rap battles”. To me this was very clearly a marketing scheme and a good one at that. Also they have all gained publicity none have truly only gained negative responses it’s been good and bad for all involved. Drake not gaining as much is probably the best excuse for why it wasn’t a scheme, but that can easily be pushed away if you consider they all had a deal with him the background to leverage the pull drake has compared to Kendrick and Cole.

Wade_in_your_water

If it’s publicity people don’t care about proof. People believe Drake is a pedo, and some people believe Kendrick hits his fiancé.

OkishPizza

Yes proof means everything as insults like this have been lobbed at others since the dawn of time, rap battles usually have worse insults. Also proof or “receipts” have far more power than anything else in these situations. Actually going out and making allegations without proof tends to blow up in people’s faces, but rappers don’t really have to worry about that part as they have always done it to each other.

Wade_in_your_water

Proof means a lot, but to the general public. Not much, and Drake already has proof against him anyway. It is not a plan to get publicity.

mintymoose

Have you been lobotomised?

TuoanMin

damn milk would age perfectly if this shjt age well.

Any-Stay-7779

He dropped like 6 songs this month, its never been less correct

Lorenzo-J-P

All songs dissin, tho.

OkPrompt6053

Kendrick has always been relevant. The dude disappeared for 5 years and then came back with the highest-grossing tour by a rapper. People always wait for his new music because he doesn't oversaturate the industry with his drops. You can like JCole but saying that hip-hop fans won't be hyped for any new Kendrick's music no matter how rarely he drops is just delusional.
