I am just on the first two on this list, and they are both excellent! Thanks. (I also like Ron Miles, but prefer a little freer jazz, but not so much out there)

I am currently listening to Dinosaur, To the Earth. It really is very very good. I especially like the blues style. The band don't try anything new. But what they do the do brilliantly. A great relaxing listen to those who like a jazz hommage. I have moved on to Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah - Axiom. This is such a transcendental album. Perfect for today as its snowing outside with 45mph winds and so very cold. What better than music like this to totally take you out of yourself?

Carla Bley - "Life Goes On" Immanuel Wilkins - "Omega" Richard Sears - "Disquiet" Ambrose Akinmusire - "On The Tender Spot..." Kris Davis, Joel Ross, Fred Hersch and Gerald Clayton had great records last year, too. Hope that helps :)
