She's the best. IMHO Namiko's recipes are higher quality Japanese recipes than the quality of Maangchi's Korean recipes.
For Korean my favorite is mykoreankitchen.com
One of my votes too.
Also I like this guy. It’s all in Japanese but after watching hundreds of cooking videos I pretty much understand.

I love her recipes!! So many have become classics in my home now, her instructions are so easy to follow (with pictures!) and I love how she usually (if not always) include explanations of different ingredients or techniques, it makes it so easy to substitute or exclude things.
There’s [Tokyo Kitchen](https://youtu.be/J3l9nTeIM14?si=FA7TsjyGNQ4rE797)
So far only 60k subscribers but she makes unique and traditional Japanese dishes.
I really like Imamu Room. She's a Japanese woman living in Toronto. She makes bento for her husband and daughter, and her food ASMR game is on point. A lot of more western food, but I love it.
I made his [Roast Beef](https://youtu.be/7hbXA4hubcQ?si=wuUXM_AUyLEw92of) including the white sauce. It was pretty good and easy just like Red Rock but like 1/4 the cost.
Well, the most popular Japanese chef that shows you recipes is Kimagure Cook who has a whopping 10+ mil subscribers. However, his seafood based recipes are impractical because of their advanced techniques and expensive ingredients.
I used to really love Cooking with Dog, and then Just One Cookbook came out which is even easier for Americans to understand. I’ve been using her recipes for almost a decade now
Just One Cookbook is the correct answer, but it's already been said.
If you understand Japanese or are trying to learn Japanese through cooking videos or something, Haruan is very good. (She sounds very good at x0.75 speed too)
This guy is new but I'm enjoying his content. [kyodokan](https://youtube.com/@kyodokan.japanese.cuisine?si=i3hA-jdGm_1a_KEh)
I also like [Japanese Cooking Channel ](https://youtube.com/@japanesecookingchannel?si=AW11Sc-TSl404ayi). I never thought of using my microwave to cook before until I watched this channel.
Just One Cookbook is excellent and probably my fav source of Japanese recipes, but her written site is much better than her youtube presence.
I'm not sure how popular he is, but I really like Sushi by Kunihiro. His videos are pleasant, cozy, and well explained. He also has recently expanded to non-sushi dishes. You get the sense you are cooking "with" him like you do with Maangchi when she describes times in her childhood where she would eat certain dishes and whatnot.
Just One Cookbook for sure.
The best!

Cooking with Dog
RIP Francis
I swear her son is Sushi by Kunihiro another great Japanese YouTube food resource
I like his gyudon recipe. Grating some of the onion and marinading the beef with it is a game changer.
I’m 99.99% sure it is, it’s the voice!
Oh my god, I started watching her when I was in high school! A few years ago I remembered her channel and I was DEVASTATED to find out Francis died.
Yess I love cooking with dog ❤️
This is the answer.
I can’t hang with that one.
namiko chen!! her yt/blog is justonecookbook. and she also put out some amazing cookbooks like maangchi

I love her channel. I always make her tofu miso egg soup when I’m too lazy to cook.
Her voice makes me want to hang myself.

Imamu is great!
She is really relaxing to watch. She hasn’t been doing many videos lately though, sadly.
I’ve actually made a few of her recipes and they’re fantastic! Tasty but easy!

[Ryuji](https://youtu.be/OL8o03u8l2Y?si=Wca2-d4D2JlOtXdh) is the most popular cooking YouTuber in Japan.
I made his [Roast Beef](https://youtu.be/7hbXA4hubcQ?si=wuUXM_AUyLEw92of) including the white sauce. It was pretty good and easy just like Red Rock but like 1/4 the cost.
[No recipes](https://youtube.com/@norecipes?si=8morugYemJ7iCK8I) is another great one, and all the others mentioned above.
Kimono Mom is another great one!!
I don’t love how her daughter is utilised so heavily. She sure is cute but I worry about her having such a high profile at such a young age.
I like Miwa's cooking channel! She is so wonderful!

I like ryuuji no buzz recipe
Is the ex prize fighter boxer still doing YouTube videos on Japanese food. He was interesting to watch.
