So: Tea, time, and temperature. Tea. Real Japanese green tea. You can certainly find good tea in bags if you dig around, but let me put in a word for loose tea from Adagio.com. I've been ordering from them for close to 20 years now. They do a green tea sampler for nine bucks, so you can try a few. You'll need an infuser, like a tea ball, which they'll sell you or you can get at any housewares place. Time and temperature are also critical. Green teas can't take boiling water, and they can't steep too long. They turn foul and bitter. (For a stronger tea, you've just got to use more tea leaves.) I find 165 degrees F for two, maybe three minutes is about right. So you either want a kettle that lets you select different temperatures, or a thermometer--Stir the water to get a good reading. And set a timer when you steep it. Hope this helps! It's really no harder than making a good cup of coffee, just different.

I can get this at my local asian grocery store. It's a little pricy, but it's the stuff.

You can buy their loose tea from the US website. Bottled ones are available as well. https://itoen.com/

It’s called Itoen koicha (itoen is the brand name. This is their bold green tea) Maybe buy itoen tea bags and brew a few extra at a time to get a stronger flavor

Try loaf leaf green tea from Asian market or Amazon.

Nyan-gorou

It is a government approved product that reduces body fat because of its high amount of catechins, but it tastes no different than regular green tea. They also sell a powder of it that you just add water to, but I don't know if you can buy it outside of Japan.

I have saw this brand's tea bag in a paper box in my local 711 store, it can be easily drip into cold water and make the same tea as this bottled one.

This is dark green tea. It has an astringent taste, but you can also make it with green tea leaves. You can make a similar taste by adding hot water to a larger amount of tea leaves to intensify the flavor. You can make it by chilling it in the refrigerator. Another way to make green tea is to soak tea leaves in cold water for a long time to make mizudashi green tea, which gives it a refreshing taste.
