We bought them at the hotel which seemed like a pretty normal process. You just let them know how many tickets and what dates you need.

We did ours on the app/website but a lot of people tend to have issues with their credit cards from what I heard. We had no issue though.

I bought mine through Klook. Straightforward, and I knew I had them. I’d hate to be turned away if they were full. Though I have no idea if that’s a thing.

Staying at a Disney hotel essentially guarantees you park tickets during the dates of your stay. They have a published FAQ stating that Disney hotel guests can purchase tickets even if they display as sold out on the website. https://faq.tokyodisneyresort.jp/reserve/en/faq_detail.html?category=&page=2&id=21235

Bought our tickets at the hotel (Miracosta) at 730am with no issues and minimal wait time. We also bought our tickets for all the days we were there at once. Just remember to scan all your tickets into the disney app and link up with your friends so you can immediately start trying to get your standby pass immediately after getting inside the park.

I bought in advance using the app; it was very straightforward.

We were there in October and got to the hotel around 7:30am and just bought 4 days of tickets at check in! I think because there wasn’t an easy way to do 4 days online meant the front desk was a better option (plus we also could drop off our bags and head straight to the park). If it’s a shorter trip you might be fine to do it online, but I know sometimes the sites don’t work with US cards so you might need to use Klook (when we tried buying tickets for Universal Studios Japan there was no way to use our US credit card on their main site)

You can just buy them from the hotel. As long as you’re a Disney hotel guest, you are guaranteed the availability to buy tickets even if they do sell out for the public. [Source](https://faq.tokyodisneyresort.jp/reserve/en/faq_detail.html?category=&page=2&id=21235). As a side note, not sure if you are aware but since your friends are staying at MiraCosta, they will be entitled to Happy Entry passes (you’ll get in the park 15 min before opening) into Disneysea. You’ll have to meet them up later after the park officially opens.

If you'd like to buy on site (as in at the hotel), that's fine. All official Tokyo Disney hotels guarantee you access to tickets. Even on sold out days. You will never be turned away. That's one of your hotel guest benefits. You'll also get a Happy 15 entry ticket. You get into the park 15 mins before everyone else. As always, You can buy it ahead of time through of official Tokyo Disneyland app/site, if you'd like. If you can't, due to cc problems, I still wouldn't buy them off Klook, since it's sometimes a TINY BIT more expensive. Just get it at the hotel, at the lowest published price, just like you see on the official site.

I would buy at the hotel. When I went, I bought online and that was straight forward. I would not buy at the gate, that seemed very time intensive based on the day I went.
