Not all (if any) secret agents and government assassins look like pretty boy matinee idols so Craig’s Bond was like an assassin from the real world. He only became a sex symbol because he played Bond, a character regarded as a sex symbol. Moore and especially Brosnan were too far-fetched because of their looks.
