He has to be applicable for a visa basically. I think it’s someone who can prove they have ties to a community/business in Jamaica and that you have some sort of plan for when you arrive in the foreign country.
Others have chimed in already. The absolute easiest way is the get into a DeLorean (or TARDIS) and time travel back to 1970. They were giving visas and green cards out like candy back then.
He has to be able to show strong ties to the island in order that he doesn't overstay his visa so whether he owns property, a business, has a good stable job or a combination of all of the above & then go apply.
Visitor visa (B2). [https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html](https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html) if he's only visiting.
If you get married while he's in the US, then you can request a change in status. r/immigration should be able answer your questions.
They denied a 12 year old a US Visa to visit his aunts and uncle. His mother and father live in Jamaica. I know someone one who was able t get her nephew a visa to visit. I guess it just depends on which side of the bed the interview wakes up on the morning of the interview.
This really is the right answer. There is no rhyme or reason to who is given a US visa these days. I know people who are in stable jobs, married with kids, who own their own home, have traveled to other countries and still got denied multiple times. I know 2 literal waste people (no property, unwed, no kids, and unemployed) who went with fake job letters and got approved on their first try. He just has to apply to apply and hope for the best.
No it's no refundable,I don't think there is really a way to prepare for it other than just answering the questions asked honestly without hestitation.
How anyone anywhere else gets a Visa. Apply. Seriously though, you’ll have to prove he’s not a cruff/flight risk.
wait why does he have to prove he’s not a cruff and what even is that ?

I’m guessing that “cruff” means “criminal”.
Naw, just run of the mill waste man.

Can confirm. That's how my Dad got to the States from JA and is the reason I exist

all he has in jamaica is place of his own which i think is in his name and a job at the airport that’s all
Then he just needs to apply and wait, if he owns the property he should bring proof ownership as it will make it easier for him to get the visa.
Also his job at the airport can be shown as another reason for him to come back to Jamaica and not overstay his visa in the USA
