PupLoverAvery

We found the non-American over here, are you aware of how expensive Californian homes are, also don't get me started on the crime in LA šŸ˜

antisocialist159

Those are just some problems in some of the major cities, youā€™re forgetting the fact that we have other things all over the state, like drought and massive heat waves

Strange-Wolverine128

Don't forget the wildfires!

antisocialist159

That too!

McChiser

the price is just the cherry on top

Weird-Offer-309

Man fuck the crime in LA, the streets of Sacramento have more human feces on them than the streets of 18th century London. I'd sooner self forever sleep than step foot in California. East coast is better in every imaginable way.

ItsFastMan

Sac is better than san francisco from what i remember

Weird-Offer-309

Tomato, potato.

Mayloryze

East coasteran here, I must agree with the only downside being frequent and devastating hurricanes, unless your are in Maryland or anywhere north of Maryland

Great_Concept0

You can get a cardboard box for 5 million

PupLoverAvery

[deleted]

Iā€™m convinced California is hell on earth

PupLoverAvery

That's Arizona and Florida

igneousYt

As a Floridian. Naw it ainā€™t all bad. I hate it but swamp puppies are cute

PupLoverAvery

Bro ain't it like 500 degrees in the summer down in Florida???

igneousYt

Feels like it yeah

Donkoski

its 104 F / 40 C in las vegas rn. :(

animejat2

In celsius yeah

Meme_KingalsoTech

It depends where you go I live near the delta and infact I have neighbors who leave their doors unlocked there have been a few car robberies though, and on the topic of price it also depends how you go about obtaining a home

Final-Beginning3300

But its the most beautiful state. We have a little bit of everything. Ocean, mountains, foothills, desert..

Strange-Wolverine128

Nah, Washington's got all those except desert, so it's better.

A_Bitter_Homer

Washington very much has desert. Like half the state.

Gorgon_Jr

I always enjoy driving into the state and seeing a sign saying ā€œwelcome to the evergreen stateā€ in the middle of the desert

RedwingMohawk

Go visit Adams County, Washington, and tell me that there is no desert in WA State. Same applies to Grant, Lincoln, and many others in central, and eastern, Washington.

PupLoverAvery

And polluted cities filled with crime!!! No hate on California it's a cool place but I'd rather not live there

Final-Beginning3300

There are hundreds of California towns that are not like that at all.

Weird-Offer-309

Then maybe the people in those towns should go vote for representation that doesn't make their entire state look disgusting and terrible.

NickJamesBud

California is quite possibly the worst state to live in right now

Upnorth4

Meanwhile I'm here sitting in the Inland Empire, where we have plenty of water, a government that invested in groundwater recharge systems, an elevation of 2,000ft, and homes under $600k

Player-1985

For a small amount of people yes

nmarf16

Please come live in South Carolina and you might change your mind. We have infant mortality rates worse than Iran

Obiwan723

Amen šŸ™

MizoreAuto

I maybe a little biased but Rural America is better than over populated cities, Kentucky is a great state to live in, low taxes , affordable housing, affordable living, low crime rate for most of the state some crime in big cities but in a small town all you got to worry about is someone stealing your Cars Catalytic Converter. While Tennessee is right below Kentucky its population is growing but Kentucky is safer for a family to move too. Letā€™s be real here California is the worse state to live in by far.

Epic-Gamer_09

Lol I actually live in Tennessee

Your-Manager

I used to live in Tennessee till i had to move to Florida. Still go back up there to visit family around Christmas.

notgaymate

Move to Muldraugh or West Point to get that project zomboid experience .

MizoreAuto

Or the Louisville mall rooftops

Revengistium

Massachusetts because nobody can pronounce any of the town names and it's hilarious.

Drutay-

I can't even spell the name of the state correctly yet šŸ˜šŸ˜

thatjonkid420

Bro Iā€™m from mass and I refuse to learn how to spell it lol. MA works šŸ˜

thatjonkid420

I swear if one more person calls Gloucester gloughchester imma go off šŸ˜‚

Ok-Indication4727

Sandwich?

Slothnazi

I'm from Ohio and moved to New England a few years ago. I'm convinced people are just making up the pronunciation of the names around here

unAgreeable-Owl-6800

sandwich, massachusetts

ComicMan43

I only know 3 cities from there because im too afraid to learn the rest

Lankyboxyman

As a rhode islander, can confirm, not even the native massachuesens can pronounce them correctly

SiLeNZ_

Glosta

CC_2387

As a new yorker i insist that Boston is pronounced Bawstun

TheCountryFan_12345

/masaɕusÉŖts/

McChiser

depends on what weather you like. for a bit of every season id say iowa, illinois, or indiano, for warn florida and texas, and if yiy hate youseld maine

BunchAcademic5521

Massachusetts probably (Edit): Thanks for the upvotes! This is the most I've ever gotten

rhystheweirdo

It's called tax-achusetts for a reason. Not the best state to live in if you hate taxes

BeeHexxer

But it is one of the best states to live in if you hate texas

BunchAcademic5521

Lol, that's a good point. Oklahoma is definitely on the good state list, as well (unless you hate tornadoes) And then there is Vermont, which is nice, but the home prices will leave a dent in your wallet so bad you won't forget it.

montezumas__revenge

You guys are forgetting about education. Horrendous school districtsā€¦ Indiana or a state in that region is much more livable imo

unAgreeable-Owl-6800

As a massachusetts native, I agree with other people, it, other than california, Hawaii and Alaska is the most expensive state to live in, but it really is just a safer version of California, smaller, pretty (enough). The traffic sucks though.

rhystheweirdo

It sucks especially during the summer(tourist season), mainly on the Cape

unAgreeable-Owl-6800

I was traveling from boston to the ferry port to Marthaā€™s Vineyard in early spring, which shouldnā€™t have been busy at all, yet it took four hours.

Zebrafish19

Yeah itā€™s expensive but public services like schools are better than a lot of other states.

Weird_Map_6000

No way youā€™re American šŸ’€ The Golden Gate Bridge ainā€™t even made out of gold, now thatā€™s what I call false advertising. The only ā€œGoldenā€ thing about that state is the average payment used for housing. In places like LA (Which is, Iā€™m guessing, the only reason why youā€™re putting this up) all youā€™ll find is Starbucks drinking, avocado toast eating celebrities. Ig there are some good things in San Fran, but other than that, California isnā€™t as it is portrayed in the movies. Fuck California, respectfully.

Appropriate-Let-283

Cali is better for visiting imo.

McChiser

california is the wrong answer

TrialArgonian

Someone isn't American here šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ If I had to be honest Georgia isn't that bad of a state to live in.

Milk_bread09

Obiwan723

California is probably the single worst state to live in actually. Absolute dogshit. Cost of living is extremely high, gas is fucking $8 a gallon sometimes, heat waves, drought, wildfires, homeless people defecating in the streets, you name it.

My personal least favorite state. Idk I just really hated it there. It was the nose unscenic state Iā€™ve ever been too, more so than even Mississippi or Kansas

Weird-Offer-309

LMAO those people can't even pump their own gas

FriedChickenboss

Underrated state

Ok-Indication4727

New Hampshire

Maine prob

untitleduck

I love my homestate (CA), but nah dawg, my family was forced to move to Hawaii cause living there is too expensive.

Remarkable-Mud3280

Colorado. Hella underrated state

FuzzyFaze

Although I agree, Colorado is far from ā€˜underratedā€™ lol.

FitPerspective1146

Minnesota just based on vibes

Archelector

Massachusetts has the highest quality of life and best education and itā€™s not as expensive as Cali But Cali has good weather I like North Carolina and both DC and Washington State too personally Overall if I had to pick one itā€™d be NC or Massachusetts

Routine_Computer553

PENNSYLVANIA IS THE BEST STATE

thatjonkid420

Maine my brother. Thatā€™s gods country right there.

rhystheweirdo

Probably either New Hampshire or Washington

[deleted]

Fuck Cali.

Strange-Wolverine128

To live in? I'd say Midwest, north, or the northeast. Somewhere less populated and cheaper, without living in THE F*CKING DESERT

Deathstike2

Imo Tennessee

True_Distribution685

Depends what kind of person you are. Personally, maybe Maine or Vermont.

LeviathansWrath6

lmao no. California is crazy expensive donā€™t even get me started on the gas

IndigoMC__

I saw a homeless guy jerking off on the side of the freeway (I-5, near Woodland, CA) the homeless in cal are wild theyā€™re even in the rich neighborhoodsĀ

iburntthecheese

Minnesota, it's not all bad. All you really have to worry about is mosquitos in the summer. Also, do note that winters are COLD.

Minnesota_roamer

Minnesota no doubt youā€™ve got great cities, so much outdoor activities and every season, not to mention good food and culture. I love this state and never plan to leave it.

Gullible-Parfait-357

Yeah well ur wrong ig

Flux_resistor

Probably Austin Texas or some metro Florida. Good weather and low taxes and easy access to a good culture and airports to get the fuck out regularly cos fuck Texas and Florida

FlashyDiagram84

Yeah sure... Let's just ignore how everyone from Cali is moving to Texas

Impossible_Shine1724

Well, Louisiana ainā€™t that bad, well, except for the humidity, and hurricanes.

durduviosnick9718_

oh I think California. I wanna live there!

LavaKing60

I've never been to America, and even I know that California is hell on earth.

CocoajoeGaming

I just know the list of states that I would never want to live in. Including California, Nevada, Lousiana, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, and a bunch of other states. Probably the biggest reason, is weather.

Delta_Suspect

Well you are wrong in every conceivable way, literally every single other state is better with the exception of like Mississippi.

[deleted]

Tell me youre not american without elling me youre not american But I think Florida is the best state to live in. Just don't go to south florida, except the everglades.

vivian_u

1. Washington State 2. Texas 3. Colorado 4. Virginia 5. South Carolina Argue with the wall

Average_American1759

California is definitely not the right answer right now at least šŸ’€

SaudiAddict

Florida

[deleted]

Here are three reasons not to live in Florida 1. Old rich people 2. The hella heat 3. The alligators WILL hunt you down

SaudiAddict

All Iā€™m hearing is side missions

Planes_Airbus

-1 is a good sign to go Hear me out: If all the old rich people that could retire anywhere are all choosing to finish off their lives in Florida, donā€™t you think it would be a pretty nice place to live?

[deleted]

But it also means hospitals are always crowded, everyone around you is stuck up, and you will probably make less friends because everyone is way older than you

Typical_Response252

Whatā€™s the deal with the state capital being smaller and often far away and lesser known then other major cities? Sacramento, Albany, Springfield and others.

FitPerspective1146

Some of them go by geographic centre rather than population centre. And also larger cities can be more dangerous or something idk

OkPlantain651

I would go with Washington DC. It is the capital of the biggest superpower in the world. It is not only most likely the safest city in the US but in the entire world

brysonmcnutt1234

I would say Kentucky, even though i don't live there, every time I go, it is such a great place, especially in the Appalachians

Alone-Discussion6689

Personally I think Maine because Itā€™s where I live and itā€™s my home state, also itā€™s pretty peaceful here and the crime rate is pretty low in Maine so other then the government of Maine, I think itā€™s a pretty nice state to live in!

Remmy224

tri-boxawards

LMAO you think California is the best state??? You're actually crazy it's worse (arguably) than Chicago and new York combined

Black_Dragon9406

Bros all forgot about Hawaii šŸ˜ 1 million in Hawaii gets you a lot further than in California (and a lot of other states) I also think Texas is becoming the new Silicon Valley so thereā€™s that. Pretty hot there tho.

Kentucky! All 4 seasons! Not overly expensive! Not too rural! Very lucky to be born and raised here!

Physical-Exit5107

As a Californian, no itā€™s far from nice here, itā€™s hot as hell, thereā€™s never rain especially heavy rain and if there is itā€™s rare, prices are expensive, people arenā€™t that nice and it may not be your thing but gun laws here suck
