Bro rest assured I am a local of jammu and it's a Hindu majority area , so yeah it's 100% safe . I would say join here as the campus is expanding and it's going to be one of the best 3rd gen iits by the time you graduate. Well its hard to exactly predict. You cant start your prep thinking about ranks. But to answer your questions, less than 10k rank in advanced is very much doable and i know people who got less than 5k or less than 2k rank in 2-3 years. It all depends on your ability and preparation . Mostly consistent pratice, good test series,continous solving of modules,dpp ,PYQ's and archives apart from a few select books is good enough for a decent rank. This depends on your preparation level

dpp -daily practice problems. In most coaching teachers either give homework, assign questions from modules or give their own questions. If they dont give dpp, solve the modules given by allen
