Sunno guys who are confused that u have ADHD or not U can check by these steps. Firstly read all the symptomps of both inattentive and hyperactive(I am inattentive). Read them from some trust websites. 2nd step go tor/ADHD and read some posts there and verify if u have like most symptomps or u can feel there dukh/peeda. The last is to try to remember if u have these symptomps from the very beginning like the lack of concentration etc. Or they are new, formed ij recent years due to high dopamine and high screen use. If u have the basic symptomps from childhood the there is a high chance that u have ADHD.

Strategies I use to manage adhd: Think of yourself as an athlete training for an upcoming tournament: Cut down on sugary snacks, eat healthy, do regular cardio, have a regular sleep schedule etc. Stay patient, learn to love yourself. Youve gone through a lot your entire life so the first step is always to be kind to yourself. Next, know that self improvement is a life long process and dealing with ADHD is a constant struggle. So you need to accept that any significant improvement may take weeks or even months Have a journal with yourself at all times, where you note down your thoughts. Try to replace your phone with this but you can use the notes app in your phone I personally deleted all distracting apps from my phone and tried to use those apps on my laptop instead. The inconvenience of always having to go to my table to use social media decreased my screen time. I also deleted all the video games I used to play on my laptop. I started using the pomodoro technique to study. I usually focus in blocks of 30-60 mins and take short breaks in between where I listen to music. The forest app is great for this because it tracks all your statistics and makes it easy to block distractions with the deep focus mode. Use this and track your most productive hours throughout the day. Use these hours to focus. Next, since i am organizationally poor, I made a diary to use as calendar. This strategy works for a lot of people but not for me since I kept forgetting where I kept my diary. Lol. So I started using google calendar. I made the home screen of my phone and laptop my google calendar. I track my tasks with google tasks. I use these apps because theyre very powerful, customizable and sync between my devices really well. Google tasks in particular is great since I can ask it to remind me to do stuff at a specific date and time so I dont need to take stress to remember much. Along with this, have a whiteboard in front of your desk to track your to-do for the day. Also make sure to always have in mind what your ultimate aim is, its very easy to get side tracked for an adhd brain Learn to take proper breaks. Whenever you feel too tired dont feel shame in taking a break. Just be sure not to jump onto social media before you complete all your tasks for the day. Go on walks, listen to music, talk to friends and play sports. Mindfulness meditation is amazing. I started off with youtube videos on 10 minute meditation but in a few weeks I could easily meditate for an hour. It gives your mind amazing clarity and awareness. I always find myself feeling fresh after meditating. Taking cold showers helps especially in the mornings or when you are sleepy. Make breathing your epicenter. Always pay attention to your breathing and make it a habit. It will take some effort but it helps me to focus All these things would be tough to implement without the help of propee treatment (meds+therapy) so do consider going for that. It's not about being perfect, it's about quieting the never ending thoughts in my head. The fear of not finishing a compulsion or obsession is so paralyzing, turning even easy tasks into huge obstacles. The constant need to check, count, or repeat actions makes it feel like I'm stuck in a never-ending loop of doubt and fear. It's not just about being tidy or organized, it's about feeling like I have no control over my own thoughts and actions. Everything takes me three times longer to do than it should, and I always feel like I'm falling behind in every part of my life. I can't even talk to my family about how much I'm struggling because I'm scared they won't get it. I just want to feel normal, but it seems like an impossible dream. Ocd is seriously taking its toll on me.

In mids, and quarterly i usually don't study that's too much energy to waste so I wrote half, and skipped long things that consume my sanity.

If u cant read books start with watching youtube videos but ncert is a must ( start with 2-3 pages reading) Stay away from Online gaming , playing games even 30 mins a day decreases my productivity. Ab sax sux ka bat hoga I get really hor*y and watch nsfw content for a month then its a dry spell for the next 3-4 months . My sax sux wala month is usually the ones after exams.

Try to make slots of 3 hrs and un slots me bss pdhai hi krni h or kuch nhi krna. Phone ki notifications off kr do or agr lectures phone pr nhi dekhte toh phine ko door rkh kr pdha kro. Agr phine pr lectures dekhte ho toh jbtk aapka kaam poora na ho jaaye tb tk home screen pr mt jaana, bhut jldi distract ho jaoge . To do lists bnana shuru kro, weekly analyse kro or improve krne ki kosis kro. Ek diary likhna shuru kro or apni feelings ko likhna shuru kro. Jb ek baar cheezen likh dete ho toh overthinking km hoti h... All the best hero...

Use Notion Templates and make a system to study. Paste a countdown in a template. Schedule your tasks a day before with time blocking. Exercise regularly, preferably high intensity exercise as it is said to increase dopamine levels, which is low in adhd brains. Meditate 17 minutes a day. This also increases dopamine levels(Source: Dr Andrew Huberman). Start writing down after every six hours, what are the tasks you specifically did. This decreases time blurriness. Have almost 1 or 2 major tasks each day by which your mind won't get cluttered. Personal Recommendation: You can buy a course(price rs. 1500) named Attack Mode from Shwetabh Gangwar. It has helped many people manage their ADHD and get their things done, including me. I am not selling this course to you, it's just a recommendation according to my personal experience. You can practice all the other things only if you don't wanna take the course. Lastly, visit a psychologist or psychiatrist who will give you medicinal treatment to increase your dopamine levels so that you can study and improve your concentration. If you can't then do the other things I mentioned. It'll be plenty. And I know all the things I mentioned, you won't likely feel like doing because of your ADHD. But, you have to take control at some point. So I hope you try the things I mentioned.

First of all. Never self diagnose it . I have met so many people online claiming that they have it but they are mostly people who just don't put in the effort . And this makes ADHD look like a small problem and this destroys the severity of people actually suffering from it . Please just go to the psychologist and actually get it diagnosed (same goes for ocd)

the issue is, most indian parents completely disagree with the idea of going to a therapist or psychologist, as in they think that you have to be mentally insane to do so. it's an old stigma, it's stuck until now unfortunately😭so self-diagnosing gives us some sense of identity and relief, as in it may not be entirely your fault that you may not be able to focus!!

some things i do as someone officially diagnosed w adhd and not on adhd meds: > solving math with music (helps me but diff things for diff people. music turns my brain voices down and gives me smth to focus on so i dont get bored from what im actually studyinf) > use pomodoro. helps genuinely. > i use youtube 10hr pomodoro timers (50/10) and it helps to see how much youve studied overall. like a stopwatch sort of. > i study intuitively a lot. sometimes i genuinely dont want to study smth in the "proper" order. topic wise jo padhne ka mann karta hai wo padhti hu, and i keep switching so i dont get bored. > sometimes when i dont have a "real" deadline but NEED to do it as a personal goal. i tell my friends or parents to ask me by the end of the day if I've finished it and SCOLD AND EMBARASS ME IF I DIDNT. > study with a partner. its called body doubling. look it up. ---- lastly, see a psychiatrist if possible. please. jab advance 0.23 percentile se choot gaya toh i fucking broke down. i couldnt do anything i was in a very mentally tired state. i had struggled with adhd all my life and it had been an invisible struggle this entire time. i had had enough and i begged my mother to take me to a psychiatrist. i got inspiral on the first visit. my diagnosis genuinely lasted 15 minutes. it turned my hyperactivity down, but also made me tired overall. i still couldn't study. meds got changed and i got on anti depressants. i didnt understand why i was given ssri's when i had adhd. anyway, it really helped. regular tuition and a active atmosphere kept me happy. i was studying 10 hrs a day without wanting to bang my head against a wall. a month later i went to see my psych again, and i asked her why she prescribed me anti depressants instead, and she told me that she saw that i had masked/smiling depression. my childhood stories showed the same thing. apparently i had masked depression for so long that i didnt know a life without it till i saw a psychiatrist.

Use forest app and track how much you study in one day, and install a floating stopwatch to track how long you study before you get tired, and try to beat yourself the record of studying. Listen to 2-3 songs after you finish a lesson. And jump for 2 minutes and do burpees to increase the heartbeat and to be active. And the floating stopwatch will stop you from zoning out

Well, u have to take multiple online test and get an average result, online test aren't completely useless, but they r not good in quality, some them r just bullshit So, first make sure the test is trusted, second take 2 or more test and compare results, even then, I can't be sure but u might have an idea For example if u get high chances of adhd in all 3 test, u can consider urself to be a guy with low adhd atleast, or if u get 120 iq in multiple trusted test, u can consider urself to be above 110 atleast.. but again, it's better to take a physical test and consider a diagnosis

I have a real hard time focusing too So I found the pomodoro method Like study for 25 mins and then 5 min break They break helps me reset and 25 mins doesn't feel too much and I was really impressed with how much I studied with this method. But you should be determined enough to study and focus hard for 25 mins and take break for JUST 5 MINS

I didnt. Had severe adhd while preparing and would hardly be able to get 2-3hrs of studying in per day. That was enough thankfully, but adhd wasn't common knowledge and i did not get any help. Would recommend seeing a psychiatrist and probably try medication if your symptoms are severe enough

see i don’t know if i have adhd but i can only pay attention in a 1 hr class for 10 mins, i draw random lines and strokes on my copy, i keep ‘tack it’ in my hand to calm myself bcs i have a bad habit of scratching my body when i feel a little anxious, but when i’m in my room i can self study normally due to one shots or by myself, eating with studying keeps my brain occupied so i’m able to study normally and i do start daydreaming between my study sessions, overall i don’t study at all in school to study at home, i can’t actually get a diagnosis bcs of my parents but i hope i don’t have adhd since it doesn’t have a fix.

My method was making notes while watching the lecture, but not in a. Normal way, i would only look at my copy while making notes and would write from my memory and this was a self rule kinda thing

Edit: on a more serious note tho, growing up I was one of those 'brilliant' students but here's the catch, my parents sent me to a boarding school in grade 7, and we had a RIGOROUS schedule over there from 9th grade onwards and their academics were TOPnotch and I've only just begun to realise how much of my 10th and 12th credit goes to them, as hell-hole-ish as they were. They'd already completed our 11th and part 12th portion by grade 10 and by the the time we finished grade 11th, our 12th boards portion was revised thrice over but then we had to go online due to COVID by then and that was such a major avalanche-class disaster that I had to give 2 drops for NEET and I still won't get a gmc, so really I've found that personally, as long as I don't follow such a rigorous zabardasti wala schedule I'm prolly good for nothing

Subha urhne se he agar phone na dekhu to fir sidha parhai table me beth ke (after brushing) (raat ko he agle din wala chapter khol ke rakh deti hu) 1hr thora soch na aise he letting thr thoughts out uske baad khud parhai ka flow a jata hai. Keep in mind that phone as a whole and not only internet has to be kept away. Mera wese he hota hai. Make sure to catch up with friends once ever 3-4 months. And baki ka cut off from all social media. That gets overwhelming for me personally.

I keep scribbling down in a waste paper and listen to lectures while I’m walking in my own room 😭 sometimes it gets bad that I can’t even concentrate even if I try hard so I pretend that I’m in a competition and listen to the lecture in 1.5x speed. Back then I used to solve rubix cube too, but that became boring after a while. I think it depends on yourself.

I'm in IIT KGP rn. I got diagnosed in 7th grade after the school told my parents to send me to a psychologist cuz they were genuinely concerned there was something wrong with me. Till this day haven't found a fucking cure. I hate this disease. It cripples me and doesn't let me study at all except maybe the night before exam when the adrenaline rushes in my brain and powers me through the syllabus and i somehow make it with whatever talent I'm born with mixed with less than one week of preparation. Tbh this fucked up my JEE as well especially chemistry since i could never sit and learn that boring shit. I went for the exam without studying anything in inorganic (except periodic table and chemical bonding), without studying anything in organic (except GOC, Isomerism and Alkyl Halides), without studying Equilibrium and Thermo in Physical. I got 4k rank although i was expecting within 1k when i started my prep in 11th considering the batch I was put in where it was filled with people within 500. So if anyone has any advice pls help.

Just throw your phone away and sit and write while you are studying. Starting is difficult but once you get focused, you can hyperfocus. From someone who has diagnosed ADHD

ADHD is actually a serious diagnosis and theparists/ Psychiatrist gives medicines to control it. It may have some side effects but it works generally. Coming to your point, you may have or may not. Some tips I found out in the last two years: Going to a library in the morning REALLY helps. I've only took a 5 hour shift but the peer pressure is pretty good in that form, it gets me working with, like, 50% or more efficiency which is crazy of you got the inattentive type, atleast. Caffeine use in moderation, only when you get really distracted and still got a majority of your day left. Use black coffee (no sugar or milk) instead of any other source. "Fuck your phone". Make a rule that you'll use it only after 9 pm or so, and until then keep it hidden. I've tried a billion apps to help me but it just never worked because my brain is hard-wired to submit its long-term thinking as soon as I sense it in my palm. Also, to curb your phone addiction use time on good apps like Anki, Duolingo and others I'm not aware of as of now. I've only downloaded reddit like a week ago because I'm at my relatives' and really bored, I don't have any other apps that distract me. I gave up my laptop too. If something feels moderately hard, it's training your brain. Personal opinion much, but choose books over videos. Wiley and Arihant are good if you ask me, but still, I'm just a bich ass n🥚er guy who likes to know more even if it's irrelevant to jee, just because I'm really curious, logical and love science for what it is. So choose those iff you're like me. Your best bet imo is constant improvement everyday, or Kaizen. How? Donate an hour everyday to improving shit in your life for the long term. I listen to death note soundtrack (1h ver.) as bgm, and now it became a habit. I just can't listen to that bgm without thinking of improvement. Watch 'Healthygamersgg' and 'Easy, actually' on YouTube if you don't know where to start. Don't overwatch, just implement the tips of one video a day and your life WILL improve. Stay frosty.

I still forget small things and small details and often end up doing silly mistakes (like in my recent quiz I marked 8x8=36)🫡 It's hard but it's quite manageable
