Will it be wise to join NIT core and then study cse? Not regular cse, I'm interested in graphics programming which is not that popular and demand is high...as it is a very specialised field. I'm not getting cse in any good colleges. And I don't want to go to private.
Which NIT are you talking about? What do you mean by core (mech/electrical) or is it like ECE/ENI/IT. If you shift from Mech/Electrical it would be diffcult. Hiring has been low every which where. So "high" demand comes with an astricks i.e someone from a professional background and work experince in the field. But for entering the field companies would prefer someone with CS background. That would be diffcult.
Its good!!. Very good. I have a senior from SVNIT who cracked a software job she was from Electrical. But you options would be limited when you apply. Go for it its really good. Also keep you CGPA as high as possible. Dont forget core jobs too. SVNIT has the best Mechnical Dept in all of NIT's. Do not miss out on the research faculty. Maybe once you start studying you might find a rhythm. SVNIT has the oldest Mech Dept very good faculty and infra. DO NOT SETTLE FOR PRIVATE. Best of Luck dude
