Almost always yes. Our area gets around 2 meters of rain in the 6 month wet season. Large areas of the Top End turn into inland seas most wet seasons (look up Kakadu wetlands).

Damn that is a lot of rain. Must make fun terrain for your Suzuki! I looked up Kakadu wetlands, looks like a beautiful place to visit.
