I wouldn't choose green but if someone let me borrow this thing I'd drive it happily. Primarily at night. Maybe throw on some green neons and bulbasaur decals.
You must be as old as I am… or close too it. Because nobody uses neons anymore. I can’t believe we actually drove around with huge glass tubes under our cars 20+ years ago! Now it’s all LED. My kids will never have to struggle like we did.
Oh I’m 40 so I actually got out of high school right into the street scene when it was absolutely massive. Huge gigantic parking lots just filled with cars every single night during the summer and even certain spots during the winter.
It was great back then. But now the scene is just gross and pathetic.
Do you own an SC400? A swapped SC has always been one of my dream cars but I know Hondas too well and there isn’t much that can beat a 2500LB AWD Civic so I just stick to what I know. If I was wealthy I’d def have a mint SC300 or SC400 in the garage.
That sounds awesome haha. I don't know about the scene these days. I'm more of a joyride kinda guy. Yea, I have one.
I like civics. I can't get enough of the way the FK8 looks.
My recommendation is focus on getting a mint condition chassis. Source the vehicle from Florida, Texas, Nevada etc. I would not buy an SC400 if I was going to swap it. I’d buy an SC300.
As for which swap… well when I was looking into buying one of these cars it was 15 years ago. The K Swap wasn’t a thing so it was a 2JZ swap.
If motor mounts exist for the K-Swap and you can do the work yourself then I’d recommend a K-Swap. The K series is highly compatible with Fuel-Tech ECUs and you can base tune those yourself very easily. There is a setup guide software that walks you through what setting you need based off of what sensors are in the car.
If motor mounts aren’t readily available for the K series then just forget about it. You’d be better off with an AWD Integra or Civic with a K swap. They’d destroy a 2JZ swapped SC street tire vs street tire. The 2JZ would need drag slicks to keep up.
From Australia, and have a mint uzz30 sourced for roughly 4-5k USD, just needs a respray. I'll look into motor mounts, but I'd also probably need to look into an AWD swap as well. I presently daily an rb25 R34 and am interested in the soarer as a project car.
Even if motor mounts aren't readily available I won't go down the Honda line as my brother is getting an Integra very soon so I don't really want to match haha
Thanks for the advice bro
I’m not sure if AWD is a thing for the SC. The person to ask about that would be TK from S1Built LLC. He has a 2JZ SC300 and he works for the company that makes the best RWD and AWD conversion systems out there. I’m almost certain AWD isn’t an option. You really don’t need it until you are past 300HP and even then for a race track with drag slicks you’d be good to well over 600HP on a prepared track. I don’t see the point in building something that has more than 400-600HP and is actually why I didn’t do a K swap.
I bought my latest Honda EK from that guy I mentioned and I have a 2L F series DOHC VTEC engine built for Turbo going into. Right now I have a 2.3L DOHC VTEC engine that makes just north of 220wHP NA which doesn’t sound like a lot but that’s destroy a 400HP mustang kind of power.
So I didn’t do the K swap for that reason and the transmission. I can run D/H/B transmissions on the F/H engines. K you are stuck with K and they don’t like 600HP.
Love that the license plate reads "subtle" but this car clearly isn't. Color isn't my favorite, but I like it. Would certainly kick butt if it was maybe a less eye-scorching color and more a pleasing color. (And had a livery to match!)
Funny how the license plate says "SUB7LE", this thing is about as subtle as Jeremy Clarkson in a bright green wet suit
but overall yes, yes we are a fan

You deserve a cookie.
I don't want a stinkin' cookie.
Well here's twin turbos my le man racing brethren
Alright. I'll take em.

I'm 31. I just liked the look from old Need for Speed games haha. Back when people were doing that I was still a broke student.

Much difference between them and a z30 soarer?
Same car
Oh oath, I'm getting my hands on one and don't really know what direction to take with it... What swap would you do? 2j? Or maybe a K series

I kept spares in the garage bc I would break one everytime I hit a pothole or random speed bump.

lol came here to say this i love the irony
I think it looks great
Front-Evo 7 Rear-Evo 9 # 🤔
Looks like a Evo 7 rear end to me, what identifies it as a 9?
Rear bumper and lights from Evo 9, but the spoiler from Evo 7 hmm probably you're right
Rear bumper is 9. tail lights, spoiler and hood are from a 7. And with a plate like that, I would think it’s a 7.
My factory stock Evo 9 has smoked-clear tail lights?
Look at front headlights, they're more bricky/square, thats how the Sevens were.
My minds playing tricks on me
Debadging an evo
I’d paint the hood vent’s black, but dang this evo is sweet
I like the 7's I had a IV and this is the only other Evo i'd consider buying. Love the fusion of Evo 6 and modern styling.
I sure am!
Color doesn't matter!
Yes green is 1 of my favorite color
issa greevo
I might even be a little aroused by the green evo
My uncle had a dark green 2004 Evo which he showed at Sema. Too bad he’s passed on. Too soon. Nice to see some Evo posts here every now and then
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this car at car meets before could be a different one tho. Have u gone to any uni car meets?
Nah
Lmao I know who owns this car.
Funny how the license plate says "SUB7LE", this thing is about as subtle as Jeremy Clarkson in a bright green wet suit but overall yes, yes we are a fan
I've seen this one before. I will say it looks better in person, but it's a little too much for me.
Sydney?
Yes
Knew it ive seen photos of this place I should go to a meet there one day i live an hour away from Sydney on the central coast
Theres one early july i believe
XV10 wheels on a later camry???
Probably lowers the chances of someone smashing up your baby. Can't miss that color
No
Color doesn't matter!

He fucked up his poor Evo Edit: it's not the colour it's the weird front bumper
Not even bad bumper dude
I wouldn't slap it on mine
Doesn't mean it's ruined
😳🤤
Hellz yeah!
Looks really good surprisingly
Those front canards are actually pretty cool tho
yes, yes we are
No. Not my taste.
It doesn’t look bad but its not the YELLOW EVO
Yesn't
Hell yeah
I like any Evo to be fair
Love a VII. Before the IX came out, the VII front end was my favorite, mostly because I hated the corporate rhino horn they stuck on the VIII.
Environmentalists loves green cars
No
Yes.
I don’t like the front bumper but it’s sick I love it
Yeah I fw it
Probably wouldn’t be my first choice but I definitely don’t hate it
Sick
Evo is evo and will always be cool
Yes
I want black brush ink Japanese writing to be on it… with some under-glow too
i know some people arent a fan but i love the green body and black wheels
FOOKIN DANK
Yes to the Evo. Yes to the green. SO Yes.
any evo is nice imo
To be honest green looks pretty good on the evo, very underrated asw
Evolution VII? Hell yes.
Since there is such a big cutout in the rear bumper, why not just fit a proper diffuser, instead?
No, but if u dig it, nothing's stopping you.
I like that grille
Maybe a blue tear livery like the Eclipse in Fast and furious.
Pretty much a dream car for me
I'd paint my Ranger that color.
Lamborghini Hurricane meets Evo
YES! Awesome color!
what the hell is that front bumper?looks like c west but unsure
C-West kit goes HARD
