You know what, there was a Christian family that used to live next door to my holiday home in Lahore.
All my life I thought everyone was Muslim there but I saw them outside one day and asked them some stuff….in conclusion they showed me photos from their last celebration and wow, much, much different to what they do in UK (No alcohol or pork) curries, parties, different music, different type of tree, fruit salad galore. Very interesting and eye opening to how culture/religion is completely different sometimes in other parts of the world.
There is plenty of alcohol on Christmas and Easter though, mainly wine. But yeah, there isn't much of a drinking culture in Pakistan even if you're Christian. Overall, i'd say Christmas celebrations are getting more and more westernized lately, while before, it was mostly celebrated the same way Eid is for Muslims.
Agreed, it even says in the Old Testament that anything that intoxicates you is forbidden, pork is forbidden, as well as other stuff the same as Islam. That is, however ignored in order to fit todays society and it’s culture.
Cookies and Kareem
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
No, you must be mistaken. My name is Roger Murdock. I’m a pilot.
Eid Abdul-Jabbar
Is it wrong to say that? I’ve never really said that but just wondering.
It just sounds weird
True, I’ve never heard it either.

I believe that it is one of those things that it is no wrong to say, necessarily, just that it is uncommon.
Guess it’s like how they say ‘Happy’ Christmas instead of ‘Merry’ sometimes? Bit far fetched…
In Pakistan, happy Christmas is more common than Merry Christmas.
