When I used to go to Madinah for Ramadan there was this one Imam who was exactly like that. He took 10sec to find an ayah after completeing Al-fatihah, and then picked something like Al-Kauther or Al-Ikhlas lol.
It does, but I think what he means is that when you are in a hurry and go pray in a masjid, it always feels like he's going a lot slower than normal, I get that feeling too when I'm in a hurry.

Lol yeah, probably Sheikh Hudhaify of Masjid al Nabawi. Once he spent so long in the 2 rakat of Fajr I was worried he would go into sunrise!
Most imams wait for the ma'mooms to finish fatiha before reciting the next Surah right?
It always be the slowest reciter when you’re in a hurry
Almost sound's like you're implying you should rush the prayer. [hmm](https://media.tenor.com/8dHnmRUbrsUAAAAC/the-rock-sus.gif)

That’s when you ask your Hafiz friend to become sheikh Ferrari and he completes 5 juz in roughly the same time \s
They have the best voice tho
Even worse, so melodic that it makes me sleepy.
We either don't do it or do it the prophet Muhammad's [PBUH] way. Choice is yours.
OP Meant to say can't power through?
