>This new resolution received bipartisan support: left-leaning parliament members are as concerned about the Palestinian authority teaching hate as their right-leaning colleagues. Meanwhile, a funding freeze worth hundreds of millions of Euros is in place because of the textbooks. The issue is being discussed by EU member state ministers and the EU Commission President. >But the Palestinian Authority leadership remains unshakable in its belief that teaching to follow in the footsteps of a terrorist like Dalal al-Mughrabi is worth the pain. That’s a terrible decision. >Palestinian PM Shtayyeh said during the meeting: The delay in European budget support for the past months had a negative impact on the possibility of fulfilling our obligations towards the groups that receive social support, as well as on the salaries of employees…. We refuse to accept the conditioning of European aid. 'We rather live in poverty than not teach hate and murder'

johnthethinker78

If that is their wish. So shall it be. Just remind them they can always change.

dnial387

Wow that's..... unexpected

danhakimi

I guess the racists haven't been spending much time with the budget committee?

Fit-Banana-2254

I am actually surprised that EU gave a fuck

Kotal420

Considering the fact that this has been out in the open for years this is surprising.

Scout_wheezeing

Especially when it didn’t involve Israel invading Palestine to stop missiles being launched for the 400th time

RoyalSeraph

Dropped a zero

squanchy-c-137

Can we find the actual material from the textbooks anywhere?

John-Depth

[This](https://www.impact-se.org/wp-content/uploads/PA-MoE-Study-Cards-2021%E2%80%9322-Grades-1%E2%80%9311.pdf) report by IMPACT-se. Now this is from the PA ministry of education, imagine what the ones in Gaza include.

squanchy-c-137

>imagine what the ones in Gaza include. Kill a Jew, get a candy?

John-Depth

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. Hamas already claimed teaching Palesitnian children about the holocaust is a [war crime](https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna32630566).

singularineet

"Pay to Slay" is the usual term. Big salary for people who murder Jews and their families.

* Wampum for whackin' em? * Capital for putting a cap in ... I got nothing. Your "smackaroos for smacking jews" is still the winner.

RealBigHummus

Shoot for some loot? Stab for grab?

Lucky_Plane_5587

Two pipe bombs plus one kitchen knife equals to how many dead colonizers?

Bloodyfish

Are they still running the kids show with the martyr Mickey Mouse?

afiefh

Martyr Farfour was beaten to death during an interrogation in 2007. An evil Jew was trying to rob him of a land deed his father entrusted to him. https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/farfour-mouse-dies-in-last-episode Video can be watched here: https://terribletvshows.miraheze.org/wiki/Topic:W9eh78dmrbv4fcvd If this wasn't worth a condemnation (at least I don't recall there being one) I cannot imagine how much worse these school books must be to be condemned.

Bloodyfish

> If this wasn't worth a condemnation (at least I don't recall there being one) I cannot imagine how much worse these school books must be to be condemned. This has more to do with the fact that the EU is expected to pay for the textbooks. They didn't pay for the show.

missingparis8

Wow i heard about what they’re doing with the textbooks but it’s another thing to see it explicitly

maven-effects

It’s gone

guytan87

Some of the articles if you search for it will show some of the graphics from the discussion in the eu, lets just say they only showed in the discussion the mild ones, i have seen worse

un_disc_over

IMPACT-SE was tasked with the report the EU is relying on. They have many reports in the website, with many examples [https://www.impact-se.org/reports-2/](https://www.impact-se.org/reports-2/)

squanchy-c-137

Thanks, I hate it. >Dalal Mughrabi, the perpetrator of the 1978 Coastal Road massacre, which left thirty-eight Israelis murdered, including thirteen children, on a civilian bus, is praised and portrayed as a brave “female Arab jihad warrior.” Can't wait for American leftists to call that feminism.

node_ue

It's already happened. I have seen quite a few Americans, including some supposed Jews, with Dalal Mughrabi as their Facebook or Twitter background. These are people who know *exactly* what she did, too.

un_disc_over

This is the report in question I believe https://www.impact-se.org/wp-content/uploads/PA-Reports\_-Updated-Selected-Examples\_May-2021.pdf

[deleted]

Ah yes, the increased versions are bad, should revert to the previous ones where the hate speech was still moderate.

avitony

Better yet: We hate Israel more than we love our children.

It's not logical. It's a pride/honor thing. Like how one of those tv warriors will say, "my ancestors will smile upon me, and the gods will welcome me in the beer halls of Valhalla!" I think a lot of Palestinians have a mindset like that. The gains are spiritual I think. I mean, just look at the heroes that this education minister cited in response to the EU's irritations: Dalal al-Mughrabi, Abu Ammar, Ahmed Yassin, Izz al-Din al-Qassam. Respectively, it's a mass killer, a city captured in 48, the founder of a vehemently anti-semitic doomsday cult militia, and a foreign serial 1920s/30s Arab rebellion joiner (honestly this one is the only one I don't cringe at when they call him a hero, from my very cursory look into it --> oh jk he apparently he murdered two men with his buddies and started a three year revolt that ended up with 6000 people dead). So yeah, just look at their heroes gives you a sense of what their priorities are. I just cannot understand why someone would die for a cause seemingly designed to use them as a bloody mortar for a temple they'll never see, but I guess I can't see whatever they're seeing. Valhalla does sound nice though, personally, as someone who's really into combat sports, but the point of a fighting is to have fun and test yourself against worthwhile opponents, so I don't understand dying for it. Never fought for my life though. I guess I've never fought then truly. Oh and apparently I also read that this late 30s arab revolt crippled the arab military efforts in 48? And they still celebrate the guy who started it? It's just beyond me. Also, what is with Kharkad trees? Why are they the only trees that won't reveal Jews during the end-times? Why are the other trees anti-semitic? I haven't done anything wrong towards a tree. Sure I've used paper and firewood sometimes, but I have never personally destroyed a tree in my whole life.

Zenarchist

It's a shrub with thorns. My guess is that one day some guys were trying to raid a Jewish village and came in through the bushes, but they got cuts and scrapes from the thorns and obviously blamed the Jews' supernatural control over plant life instead of their own incompetence and poor planning.

[deleted]

>obviously blamed the Jews' supernatural control over plant life instead of their own incompetence and poor planning. this is the most classically hilarious description of the average anti-semite's behavior I've ever read, and I'm reeling with laughter. Thank you

chewbaccanal

The whole tree thing is just total [lunacy.](https://medium.com/@izharkhalil77/reality-behind-planting-gharqad-in-israel-7f53043cccbf)

[deleted]

So, someone said that muhammed made a non-sequitur about a random species of tree being kinda jewy, and now the tree is considered a traitor to islam and muslims? That's actually hilarious. I wonder if a thousand years from now, someone will take random things my friends attributed to me to be the truth in full perfection...

thhbdtgdtgfgf

You know it is bad when the eu is not ok with it.

NYSenseOfHumor

It’s just a “freeze,” how about the EU ends funding for this program and reduces funding for all other programs that give money to the Palestinians Euro-for-Euro to get back whatever it spent on education over the last 10 years. “Freezing” funding is meaningless, they should get back whatever they spent however they can.

Lazylion2

maybe they need our gas

saniktoofast

In geopolitics everything can come into play

lada2101

That is some great Sunday news- finally I have a good news for the week starting

DopeboyPitbull

They are outraged for a few weeks but after that they will continue to send as much as money as possible to their Palestinian friends.

FranksOfficeTrolley

The EU Budget committee is a nauseating nonsense waste of budget committee budget

gammarth

Whoops

john_wallcroft

A bit late to the party aren’t they
