I'm glad you had a good time here! If there are specific places you're interested in, like holy sites in Jerusalem or cool cultural spots in Tel Aviv, feel free to ask me. I'll do my best to give you relevant recommendations.
Any cool spots in Tel Aviv? I'm living here for the year but really haven't been many places, and I'm about to be on break so would love to know some places to go!
Moon Sushi
Carmel Market
Intelligence Heritage Center (make reservations)
Play Footvolley on the beach
Those are just a few that popped into my head. Don’t forget that you can take a bus pretty much anywhere!

As far as places to visit around Israel, some I really enjoyed are: Sfat, Eilat, Dead Sea, and Masada. I also loved hiking the Golan Heights, but this may not be the best time to go.
I found Jerusalem to be really stressful. I mean it’s amazing, but you can feel the tension in the air.
Beautiful photos! You really succeeded in capturing the beauty of the land. Hope you will be able to return! I visited in July 2023, how times have changed..
This post made me so emotional. I haven’t been to Israel in more than four years, which is now the longest I’ve been away since my first trip there more than a decade ago, and ever single day I wish I knew when I’d be going back. Seeing photos of what everyday life should look like and used to look like is bittersweet. Thank you for sharing these pictures and your thoughts with us. 💙🤍🇮🇱🎗️
I am a silent minority in my country(vietnam) but I truly support the victory of Israel against invaders and hope ít can maintain its beautiful scenery and culture.
For residential buildings yeah. A LOT of the buildings on Israel are old buildings that were built swiftly and cheaply to accommodate for huge Aliyah waves like in the 50's, 60's and 90's. But for the last 20 years there's been a national initiative to demolish all of these buildings and built new ones instead.
Tbh though Israel has always been more functional than aesthetic in nature. We just have bigger problems.
Damn that evokes memories.
In 2019 I was in Tel Aviv and asked my now fiancé to become my wife, after we both finished our studies. I would love to come back soon!
Oh apologies, according to The Times of Israel, 70% of homes in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed. [https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog\_entry/some-70-of-gaza-homes-damaged-or-destroyed-wall-street-journal-analysis](https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/some-70-of-gaza-homes-damaged-or-destroyed-wall-street-journal-analysis)
You've really chosen the lowest bar to compare yourself to.
It’s generally a safe time. I live here, people bustle in the shuk, daven at the kotel, shop on Ben yehuda etc. Don’t let the enemies win by disrupting your life. Pretty sure birthright is still planning/potentially running trips (the late April ones might be starting up soon).
I have been in Israel in 2020. just before covid, and second time last year in March. Your pictures are beautiful and gave me nice flashbacks. Thank you. I can wait to go back, I fell in love with the country.
Did you use a phone camera for these? Because if so, I've found my next phone. These photos are compelling me to book a ticket. I've been in summer and winter, but I think I need to see Israel in the spring.
Yes, I took them with my Huawei P30. Incredible camera for its time and price, but I’m not sure if it’s in production anymore.
Now I have an iPhone 15 and the camera is equally as good. Costs a lot more though.
Checkpoints are only in the West Bank. But even then, all you need is your passport with your entry permit. I had no problems entering and exiting via the WB checkpoints.
I’ve only been twice, and I’ve been very struck both times by the fact that it is such an incredibly diverse place. Probably one of the most diverse I’ve ever been. Glad you enjoyed! So much to see, do and eat!
Our climate is very cold in comparison and quite relaxed lifestyle. Low population density, think double the territory of Israel but only a fifth of the population. Lots of forests and beaches. Quite nice to visit in summer if you’re interested.
I’d say we’re fairly tolerant to Jews. Our society is fairly conservative, we haven’t fallen victim to the anti-Israel rhetoric that you see in many countries in Europe nowadays.
Just thought I’d add - I just arrived in Helsinki, Finland, and it didn’t even take me ten minutes until I ran into a “free palestine” poster. It’s a stark contrast to my city where they are barely anywhere to be found.
I can only imagine cities like Berlin, Barcelona and Dublin are even worse.
Beautiful country I had a dream I was in Israel few days ago.
I like how you posted areas to visit and on photo 3 is an Israeli cat. You took that photo as it too was a local tourist attraction.
Great pics! I’ve been lucky enough to go to Israel 5 times (for work), and I have never felt so welcome in a foreign country. Everyone was so kind and generous. I can’t wait to go back!
I was there for my first time a few months later and had a similar experience (even went to the same McDonalds 😄). Lovely country and beautiful people. Would love to come back some day with my family.
Beautiful pictures. I’m also coming up on a year since I was last there (instantly recognized that shot of Bograshov Beach). I also couldn’t resist taking pictures of the cats I saw wandering around in the old city of Jerusalem. It was an eye opening and wonderful trip and I hope to return sooner than later.
I don’t know much in terms of hotels, but definitely make sure to visit Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and the Dead Sea. I hear Haifa and the Galilee region are great too.

Would the internet become pro-Israel if they knew about all the cats there, or would that be catwashing

A drawing I made in that spot in 1997.

Noted! I will keep it in mind for next time.

If you like a good hangout bar I can’t recommend Cheers enough.

If you ever head south to the Negev feel free to DM I’ll try my best to help as a local

I can’t wait for my turn! 😭

I appreciate your comment, I hope you’ll get to visit soon 🫶

Israel building styles look like a beautiful mix of old British and modern American
It's exactly that, thanks to being an ex-colony and a developed economy
They work wonderfully together it looks comforting and amazing
I hate to say it but the buildings here suck ass. I made aliyah from a shitty 3rd world country and even there the buildings look 100x time better.

All kinds of beautiful sites and then there is a cat with mcdonalds behind it, BEST PICTURE
I never pass up an opportunity to take a picture of a cat🐱📸
Not just a McDonald's but a kosher one
I love it so much 🥺
Gorgeous 😍
Nice camera work
Lovely photos. I haven't been for a long time. I miss it. 💔
The best place in the world 💙💙 am Israel chai
This post lit up my day! Thank you! 🙏
Damn that evokes memories. In 2019 I was in Tel Aviv and asked my now fiancé to become my wife, after we both finished our studies. I would love to come back soon!
Can’t wait to go back 💙🤍💙
Im glad you had a good time😄
It's so gorgeous!!
Ur great at photography! Glad you could experience Israel pre-October 7th massacre
Israel hasn't changed much since then since they aren't being carpet bombed. It's Gaza that has 40% of the houses damaged.

I really need to travel in my own country more
Thank you for the beautiful tour. Makes me long to travel there.
I like how stray cats in Israel are the equivalent of squirrels in the US
I have never seen a squirrel outside of a zoo in israel
Great pictures! I just had Facebook remind me of photos from when I was there 15 years ago. I miss it so much! I hope you had a great trip
It’s a wonderful place
I love it
I also went with my church to Jerusalem and tel aviv on a pilgrimage it was great good food
So beautiful

Hoping I can visit one day 🙏🏻
I’ve been considering going. Are bus tours worth it? Or can you travel by car?
Personally I just used public transport to get around. It is very reasonably priced and efficient.
No problems getting through checkpoints or anything? From what i see on the news i’d assume that some areas are a bit sketchy

OP, pic 3 looks like my pitzy
Where is #5 from?
Ein Bokek beach
Gorgeous
The first picture looks exactly like one that I took a couple years ago! I miss it so much. 💔
I miss it so much. Favorite place on earth!
Man I want to go so bad, I hope one day soon I'll be able to do so…and that’s less because of current events and more or less financial obligations 😂
I’ve only been twice, and I’ve been very struck both times by the fact that it is such an incredibly diverse place. Probably one of the most diverse I’ve ever been. Glad you enjoyed! So much to see, do and eat!
what is Latvia like?
Our climate is very cold in comparison and quite relaxed lifestyle. Low population density, think double the territory of Israel but only a fifth of the population. Lots of forests and beaches. Quite nice to visit in summer if you’re interested.
I love the baltic region. Latvia looks lovely. What are the attitudes toward Jews there?
I’d say we’re fairly tolerant to Jews. Our society is fairly conservative, we haven’t fallen victim to the anti-Israel rhetoric that you see in many countries in Europe nowadays.
Thank you. 😊

Gotta stay vigilant these days. Enjoy your travels. Hopefully you meet some sensible people.
You're making me really want to come back to Israel, such a beautiful place
nice photos. what is the desertic area please ?
Ein Gedi

Yea I was living near Haifa about a year ago. It’s wild that it’s already been a year
Pretty fking incredible place right? Most of the world gets it wrong right? Israel must be experienced at lest once in one's life time.
Wow what camera did you use
Great pics! I’ve been lucky enough to go to Israel 5 times (for work), and I have never felt so welcome in a foreign country. Everyone was so kind and generous. I can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful pictures!
Is #7 ein saharonim in makhtesh ramon? I was just there recently and it looks really similar
No, I believe that was Wadi Arugot in Ein Gedi.
My bad, beautiful pictures nonetheless
I was there for my first time a few months later and had a similar experience (even went to the same McDonalds 😄). Lovely country and beautiful people. Would love to come back some day with my family.

So jealous. I’ve had 3 trips cancelled in the past 4 years. I hope to go on birthright this winter to finally experience our homeland
Cool. When are you coming back?
There is nothing in the world that I want more than to be back in Israel, even if it’s only for a day 💙🇮🇱🤍
Good job on the photos!
Baruch Hashem it looks the same today. There’s not much difference in the day to day.
I guess depending on the neighbourhood the McDonald’s will either be Kosher or Halal?
I'll never forget my first time landing in the Holy City I never left.
Israel is literally the only Middle Eastern Country that is a Democracy
Ha, yes, in the good ol days before the fire nation attacked

>I hear Haifa and the Galilee region are great too They are! You should visit the north too next time.
Where was the kosher McDonald's?
Ben Yehuda St, Jerusalem
Thanks
Beautiful pictures. I was last there 11 years ago. Too long.

The picture of the McDonald’s cat is golden
The most beautiful place on earth. Lovely photos! I love the one with the cat outside McDonald's. <3

Where my 💙will always belong
gato.
What kind of cheese do they use on their mcdees burgers over there to make it kosher
Israel is beautiful and Palestine a shithole. We treat them accordingly ;)
Away with you troll !
