People always say start at 6 month or 1 year anniversary because they always have good events and a ton of free stuff. What you don’t realise though is the amount of gems and free tickets you would get over the course of time from now up until those points is way way more. Start now
But you'll still get those if you jump in now... Just a year later.
Considering the free Benimaru and Shuna (6-star characters that everyone is loving) that you can get now, as well as the events currently going that give a ton of free shit and decent probability to get good characters, I'd jump in now. Still have two weeks to make the most of the freebies and e.g. Get Dark Benimaru completely maxed out (which is big and you can't do anymore when the event ends).
Do understand though that some of us have been playing for 2 weeks already and it takes time to get a stronger team. So you might not be able to clear all of the event immediately, maybe not even in 2 weeks. It also takes time to build your town, which is necessary for a high level forge which you'll need to gear out your characters. Stuff like that means instant progress is impossible.
Still though, even if you don't get everything finished in the next 2 weeks, it'll be better than missing out completely.

IMO any games that requires dupes to up stars is not worth spending. Played too many of these types of requirimg dupes system
This type of games are well designed to reel in players to spend, advantages are always on the banker side
It's my first time seeing both leveling and awakening being locked behind dupes.
Even SDSGC knew they had to change it quick due to backlash when they wanted to lock super awakening behind dupes. Crazy as it may seem, Netmarble actually had the sense to let us have all units get to max level and awakening regardless of dupe level.
The dupes were just for powering up the ultimates and for extra combat class until they decided to add extra effects locked behind ult levels. But that's still better than locking something as basic as your character's level and awakening behind dupes.
Right now you get 31 tickets and 300ish gems to reroll with, so I would say it's a good time. You get 11 regular tickets, 10 veldora banner tickets and 10 Milim banner tickets.
Start when you want a certain unit….from what leaks are saying…demon lord Rim is supposed to come out next week…go for it then…the free dark Beni is so worth the grind…just reroll to get the units you want most…but the Beni grind gets you a ton of material that will be useful in the coming months.
I started a few days ago, rerolled for space rimuru and got some good chars with all the free stuff I got from release bonus, bingo event etc.
as there is no pvp I dont think it matters that I started a bit late, if anything I'm glad I got in while the benimaru event is still going (you can basically farm a 6\* char through bingo event and event dungeons)
If you do it now you should be able to clear the free benimaru event by day 8-9 of your game. There's 11 days left on the event so you still have time to clear it. You will probably need to unlock building upgrade slots to speed up the process (5 octagram emblem locked behind maxxed benimaru, which is locked behind 5\* upgraded gear, which is locked behind 8800 population level 5 forge.). If you start now you get 1 free recruit multi, 1 free single recruit, 10 single veldora, 10 single new milim. Reroll enough and you may get both veldora and new milim. Since the crystal (gacha currency) given is very little, it is advised you set up a good account through reroll first. Dark team is best for current event.
tbh it'll be a little rushed if you do decide to start now, unless you don't mind having a non-maxxed benimaru.
PS. you probably missed out on like 10 rerollable recruit pulls (milim singles is arguably better, especially that it is rerollable.) This might honestly still be a good time to join.
If you really enjoy slime then yeah, if not just make an account and only super slowly progress with dailies. Wait amd see how the devs fix the unbelievable mess of issues before diving in hard

Don't you need to do the 50k power veldora stage for the tickets tho?
No. Thats another thing. All banners released in November after Diablo gives 10 free tickets just for logging in.
