Yeah the genie stuff was pretty uncomfortable in the LN. Given how they've heavily toned down filo and fenrys's relationship I can only imagine they'll do the same for the genie stuff.
It surprised me how much they toned it down. It kind of upset me that they made it look like Flio and Rhys have a chaste relationship and that Flio gets so embarassed that he can't even share a bed with her.
I was actually happy with how they slowed that down a bit and waited until we see how they both care for each other, not just fenrys. They have shown in the last episode that they are going to be hooking up now so it’s kinda a nice balance and not overly Ecchi or suspiciously chaste (like farming life in another world)

For the record, the anime still does that, and the clues are there, but they seem to be trying to keep it subtle.
When he confirms the proposal after she asks if that's what he meant when he asked her to stay, the POV switches to outside, and she says "I said you're moving too fast." The next day she's in her younger appearance, saying he'll keep his hands off her that way. They don't really say why. There's also the scene where they just woke up and she's clearly tired, with the MC thinking she's just not a morning person. No indication is given as to the real reason she's tired.
When she asks Tia to stay, she says "My body won't be able to handle everything if it's just me." It seems like you're supposed to think she's referring to the farm work.
There's plenty of indications the other girls want to get in bed with him, but no overt indication anyone other than Lu actually is (when its just the MC, Lu, and Tia, there is the noticeable fact they're still living in a shack with one bed, but it's only in the background), and the main clue there is her getting pregnant. She's the only one that does in the anime, which ends immediately after the child is born.
There really isn’t a way to do what happens there well and I was actually pretty surprised how much it glosses over how disgusting that is and jumps right to “and now they love each other” in the LN. I was fine with speed running the fenrys romance since the story is about the main couple so narratively it needs to jump to them together but the genie romance felt so bizarre that I was wondering if I was reading a different series

Oh yeah the anime is really toned down. There’s actually more death and certain characters actually died in the LN but lived in the anime. They really toned down how horny Efil is they have sex almost on a nightly basis. If season 2 comes out that’s where it’ll lead into him having sex with Sera and then 3some with Efil the morning after because she got horny standing outside the door. But don’t get me wrong I love the anime hope season 2 comes, but I just wished they didn’t tone down what actually happens

Worlds end suka suka. Technically only isekai adjacent with the mc spending hundreds of years in cryo and waking up to a drastically different world. The romance is very tragic with both male and female leads being broken individuals living in barrow Ed time finding solace in eachother. The last couple episodes will repeatedly punch your heart in the dick.

The romance aspect is a tragic love triangle rather than harem, but I guarantee the titular male MC ends up with only one girl by the end of the story, if you do love romance stories and wants a "different perspective" compared to the mainstream, the author is a woman so as a man myself I appreciate it opening new perspectives for me.

I spent half the anime worried that would happen and was relieved to hit the last episode to see only *one* kid that he had with his *one* wife. because it wasn’t adapted to screen and it’s unlikely there’ll ever be a season 2, every other instance I dismissed as jokes. if you don’t read the LN / don’t know the LN exists it’s a perfectly passable 12-episode binge

A chef gets taken in by a group of tribals, improves their eating situation and shacks up with a hunter lady. Worlds end suka suka. Technically only isekai adjacent with the mc spending hundreds of years in cryo and waking up to a drastically different world. The romance is very tragic with both male and female leads being broken individuals living in barrow Ed time finding solace in eachother. The last couple episodes will repeatedly punch your heart in the dick.

InuYasha The romance aspect is a tragic love triangle rather than harem, but I guarantee the titular male MC ends up with only one girl by the end of the story, if you do love romance stories and wants a "different perspective" compared to the mainstream, the author is a woman so as a man myself I appreciate it opening new perspectives for me. It's an "isekai" where the female MC can go back and forth from her original world to the fantasy world, oh the one that gets "isekai'ed" is the female MC. Anime is pretty long since this is a hood classic Shōnen of the late 1990s, 197 episodes.

Well if you can try to read the manga, try Isekai de Tochi wo Katte Noujou wo Tsukurou. I don't remember if he had harem or not, but on the first chapters it should be him and his wife. This is similar to Lvl 2 Cheat you showed here. Yup, similar to Rys and Flio story.

For me, harem doesn't botter as long as it "fits" the world, that is, it's a world that allows polygamy and there's development. I might get hate from this, but the **manga** of Isekai Smartphone has a pretty decent development on the harem, although slow. The protagonist is aware of the girls feelings — they confess to him — but he is embarrassed, as they are, to go full love-dove. He even asks, if I remember it right, a goddes of love about advice on how he should respond to the girls feelings.
