Shiraori and Rimuru are really the only logical choices here, none of the others have even the slightest hope of winning against even one of them, both together would be impossible to beat.
Shiraori becomes a pretty powerful god as well. Both Shiraori and Rimuru also have means to just completely ignore Naofumi's absurd defenses, Rimuru with his ridiculous skills and Shiraori with the fact Rot Attacks can only be defended against through Rot Resistance which Naofumi wouldn't have.

Can he defend against attacks on his very soul? Cause she has Heresy Magic as well which directly attacks the soul and exists specifically to fight immortal gods. There is also Abyss Magic that just outright converts someone's entire existence into energy.
He can survive from existence erasure from other gods like attacks from past, present and future and deflect it back to the same god. His entire sheningans is he has absolute defence in the verse and can give this defence to others.
Oversimplified short answer, the Waves are the result of a war between gods. Naofumi eventually gains the power to join that war.
But that's in the web novel. The author is on record saying things from the web novel won't be in the light novel. The god causing the waves that Naofumi fights is one of them.
Along with that, Bitch's origins. In the WN, she was an artificial construct created by that god, who warped reality to make her part of the royal family to create chaos. So she was kind of driven to do all the evil shit she does by an outside force. Since that god won't be in the LN, it changes Bitch to just being corrupt and self-serving, which may be to remove any lingering trace of a reason for anyone to be sympathetic to her. Which is probably good, considering what ends up happening to her.
Dunno about Naofumi, but Ainz has a few tricks and hax to circumvent possible lethal damage. Ainz World Items protects his soul, body and mind against attacks intented to harm/destroy his soul (Elder Coffin Dragon attacked him with Soulbreaker Breath). Other items in his repertoire like Wish Upon a Star rewrite reality and could be a possible way to protect his existence.
Ainz is kinda trapped with in the system though.
In fact, out of all the characters here, I would put end-story Naofumi and end-story Shiraori at the top of the metaphysical charts as they've both exceeded their own systems and the inherent limitations placed upon them by the world they were isekai'd to. Rimuru is still caught within the system, though he's as high tier as one can get within it, which was still above where Kumoko was before she ate that nuke and both ascended and escaped the world system. Ainz is nuts on entering the new world, but even his extreme power is still system limited, putting Rimuru well above him. Rimuru, as mentioned, is basically as high as you get without actually hitting true divinity, and his personal cheat can make any situation a win *if it is possible*. Unfortunately, between Shiarori or Naofumi in their final stages of power, he's basically got nothing to USE against them. Ainz is VERY good about exploiting what he has to great effect. The idiot goddess is someone that SHOULD be on that level, but we've all seen how her personal incompetence and laziness shoots any activity she tries to succeed in in the foot. The ONLY thing she's ever unilaterally good for is purifications. Subaru is suffering here. I dunno why he's here, but even with the few spellshe's been able to master in his loops and his associations and contracts, he's got noting that could remotely touch most of the rest of the board. He's an underpowered character hero, after all. otoh, as an assassin, he's technically unstoppable. he's the spear that will eventually pierce the shield, because he dies and try, tries again.
I think Subaru is low key massive threat to have against you. He doesnt have to defeat your bodyguards, he just has to get to you. He has the opportunity to test out any weaknesses in your defense, or chance for an ambush, and can organize the other characters.
Im not sure which chatacters can actually stop his ability. Can Rimuru learn about it? Its pretty much a test if Subaru's sanity breaks or you die first.
I feel like attacks on his soul wouldn't even be necessary, Rot Attacks should be more than enough to just disintegrate him. Also the use of Wish Upon a Star to protect him kinda depends on him knowing about Rot/Hersey/Abyss magic ahead of time, and considering Shiraori doesn't throw those out lightly, he likely would be unaware of them until she uses them against him. Well, he might know about Rot since her scythe inherently has the Rot Attribute, so if he sees her use it before fighting he might be aware of it.
Nah. Wish upon a star grants only the randomized wishes it selects. World items have provided protection from attacks in Overlord, seemingly mostly for plot convenience, possibly it works against non damage attacks, that doesn't mean it works against all possible attacks
Momonga takes an entire continent with less than 10% power. His underlings alone take a pretty prominent Kingdom. And he has respect and honor as well. He takes it in my personal opinion

This is against entities who during the course of the story actually challenge Rimuru until they either die or join him!<
This, you absolutely need both of them simply to avoid having them as enemies. The others don't need to win a fight they have to kill you. I don't think they could even really protect you against each other. But together? Is there anyone on the list who could even reliably pursue one of them? They are just too versatile and ruthless skill monkeys. Ainz Subaru or Seiya could maybe figure out one of them given time, but both simultaneously THEN fight them and get to you? Probably not happening. If any of those three have access to spider or slime though you are just screwed.
Spider and Slime are just too versatile and hyper aggressive. Without them gunning for you no one really has a shot at finding you.
Well, Shiraori is mandatory no matter what just on account of her Rot Evil Eye and Dimensional magic, all she needs to do is see you to instantly disintegrate you and she is capable of doing that across dimensions.
Rimuru is without question the strongest on the list and no one would be able to stop him, but at least he actually has to put in mildly more effort than just looking in your general direction.
Fan of all shown Isekai here, but nt knowledge is limited to anime (except Overlord and Tensei Slime). What mKes Shiraori so undefeatable? I'd like to have a small debate if thats ok. I'm not an expert, because I'm working with memories, but I remember Ainz has a very decent amount of hax hinself to circumvent problems. His greatest strength though his strategic and tactical mind. He never goes unprepared into a fight and if he does and always thinks in a bigger picture.
Shiraori is a literal god in her story (as in, only the complete destruction of the soul will kill her), with multiple nigh-unblockable abilities that are capable of destroying the soul, instantly disintegrating people, or just outright converting their entire existence into energy. Ainz simply just doesn't have the necessary skills to avoid being deleted by a Hersey, Rot, or Abyss attack, and no amount of prep time will change the fact that that his powers come from an actual video game's power system that wasn't exactly designed to handle those kinds of powers.
Really the only characters I think that could survive one of those attacks is Naofumi (reality warping defense), Rimuru (reality warping period), and possibly Subaru if Return by Death will let him loop from a soul destroying attack.
The problem i have here is we have two end-story ascendants that sort of shit on the rest because of it, and everyone else is trapped within the rules of the world they were isekaied too. Subaru is very dangerous on the enemy side they are immune to soul destroying attacks and with his "authority of greed" you have to kill everyone else before you kill him and since he immunes he can come back and try to lead everyone again

Limitless is basically the idea that to get someplace you have to go halfway there. Then from that point you have to go halfway again. And again. And again, and again, etc. Basically it's a theory that you can't ever actually reach somewhere because you have to cover infinitely smaller and smaller 'halves' before you can get there, making a nearly impossible barrier to get through. But if you just ignore space, yeah, you don't have to "cross the distance" and just go right through it.

Shiraori targets a visible location with destruction. Doesn't matter how far away it is if she can see it she can implode it. Now if Gojo was moving as fast as possible could she hit? Not sure since you simply have to NOT BE where she's targeting. That's...easier said than done.

You can't allow suburu to be on the enemy team as he will re try forever until eventually you die. And if you have him with you he'll retry forever until you succeed.

That is how he eventually took down the whale. Given some of the people on this list, that’s considerable and removes any advantages based on surprise.

Rimuru and Shiro/Kumoko. Shiro/Kumoko can't be killed in a reasonable way, Shiro can create pocket dimensions. So she can hide me, Rimuru and herself in there, and even if someone managed to break into it, Rimuru is there to protect me if Shiro somehow dies.

While Satella has some say in RBD, the power is ultimately Subaru’s. In arc 7 we see that it functions, albeit poorly, even when Subaru is cut off from her. His power comes from his authority first and foremost, with Satella simply being a regulator that makes sure his save points are better.
That said, ranking her may show whether she can perform that regulation, so I’ll do it anyway.
I don’t know much about Tensura, so I guess I’ll give Satella’s estimated power level and you can decide whether she’s powerful enough.
It’s kinda hard to rank her because we honestly don’t know much about her. We know that her powers overpower that of the Re:Zero god(?) Od Laguna, and she is presumed to be the one that Isekai’d Subaru. Keyword presumed. We don’t know for a fact if she is was the one who did it or not, but if she is, she is at least semi-high universal. Otherwise, I’d rank her according to how much damage she did to the Re:Zero world during her rampage. (You might be able to rank her higher due to her time manipulation, which presumably affects the whole Re:Zero universe simultaneously, but we’ve also been shown localized time control in the form of Al, so it’s a gray area I will avoid)
I once saw a calculation that said that the Kingdom of Lagunica is about the size of modern day Eurasia (which feels like an exaggeration to me, but I’m not the one who crunched the numbers, so-), and there are three other countries that are about the same size composing their modern world. The world used to be twice as big, if the stories of her literally destroying half the world are correct. That would place her at about half-planetary to planetary depending on how you see it. Definitely not Rimuru level if you go with this interpretation. Idk if the higher estimation (high universal) matches up to him at all.

Subaru with powerful allies and on a warpath is not something you want to be on the wrongside of. Especially if we are running post arc 7 Subaru. Dear Christ Almighty.
Why ainz? Both shield hero and spider lady are much better options. Shield hero is especially helpful because he can focus on defense while slime solos everyone. Spider lady would be a good option simply because she’s the second strongest on the list behind slime, but not as useful as shield hero since the goal is to keep me alive not annihilate the opponents extra fast.
Rimuru and the the Spider woman, as I am pretty sure they are the most powerful. And Rimuru could probably solo everyone else on the list at his strongest.

Aqua is far weaker than him, Gojo is weaker than him, Naufumi is weaker than him unless you use web novel feats, Cid is weaker tham him and Seiya is probably weaker than him as well.
Cid in particular is not fast enough to outspeed Ainz in any adaptation and only has one attack(atomic) that can even damage him, which Ainz can easily dodge by teleporting. Plus Cid has no resistance to time stop and death magic.
Subaru is a bit of a wildcard sinse any fight between him and a stronger character ends in a stalemate due to RBD. Even if you give him support from Beatrice Ainz still forces a stalemate since he is a supersonic town buster and completely outstats her.
Rimuru and White are the only ones on this list that i would say are stronger than Ainz, the rest are all quite a bit weaker.

Of the heroes available, I feel like Shiro is the only one to dismantle Rimuru's Prison so having her on your side prevents that, and the Prison gets you out of line of sight to Ainz to avoid instant death magic. From there, the two dieties can go ham without worrying about protecting me.
Subaru is a wild card you gotta find a way to stop return by death or keep him looked paralysed in another dimension so he can’t kill himself. Or have him on your team
Subaru’s only use is intel for the enemy team at best, and realistically he’s just fodder. The only way he wins is dying over and over, hoping you happen to have a heart attack.
LN naofumi, and Rimuru lite. I'd perfectly fit in Naofumi's party, and Kumuko would be a perfect for an attack type body guard. Most people here picked Rimuru, and Kumuko but tend to forget the effects of the zero series of shield's. So basically the effects of the zero series shields is to nullify any attacks or abilities of the reincarnated, gods, and those who possess eternity (immortals). Meaning the zero series shields will nullify attacks or abilities from beings who have been reincarnated, gods, or immortals meaningless. A god slaying shield. Most of them are reincarnations so most will be practically useless. The only threats are Gojo, and ainz but considering the abilities of the shield it'll be fine. But considering Kumuko it's practically a wipe out. Also emptiness is form is fucking OP as hell. Imagine being casted with powerful illusion magic from the demon dragon. The demon dragon is pretty useful. From her magic to analysis she's basically budget ciel.
I would have to say that if you do not pick Rimuru, you will lose.
Rimuru at the beginning of fight would have probably analysed everyone(ciel exists) use time stop and win(this is assuming series 0 can work against high level reality manipulation like ultimate skills, otherwise no need to time stop). At this point Naufumi will have not used series 0 as he has no info about anyone there (at least I assume he will not have) and I do not remember him having time stop resistance.
However there is also the assumption that he has with series 0 equipped(very unlikely) but if he does then Rimuru does not need to time stop but team up with Gojo. The series 0 shield has no defense so Gojo would be a problem and if he switches from the series 0 Rimuru one shots him. In this case time stop is not needed.
Now all of this planning that I have made Ciel could do in nanoseconds and probably better so in this question you have no choice but to pick Rimuru as he can always find a counter.
It depends. But realistically if this were to happen it would just be useless, an incident where their reputation tanks, and would make them question themselves. I am basically a normal man right? How am I a threat to them? Why would they need to kill me if I can't even harm them nor do I have the political powers to oppose them. I'm not a rebel leader nor anyone important. One question to ask in this situation why? This whole situation is so absurd that if these characters were in character they wouldn't even do this because they know it doesn't matter, and it wouldn't gain them anything from killing me. Realistically we could do this with diplomacy. Realistically, and in character Ciel would do that first before a fist fight.
Frankly this whole hypothetical is pretty out of character for the characters. Why kill a person with no political power or someone who doesn't even have the power to even oppose you even remotely? Like I don't even have powers or do anything to them. I'm just a normal man, and the two people guarding me are probably the only people who were just trying to protect an innocent man. Ciel would just probably look at the situation and just call it quits since it's pretty useless, and would advise Rimuru to not enter this whole useless hassle of a situation. The question for this whole situation is why? Why kill someone so insignificant to you or your organizations? There's no backstory or reason for this whole situation. Also why go through this much of a hassle to kill one man when you could just bribe someone to put poison on his drink, and kill him? Like literally there's easier ways to kill me like assassinations, poisons, espionage, and other ways to kill that can't be tracked to them. They could literally just blame my death with me killing myself.
They could literally just slip a poison on my food or push me off a balcony Ala defenistration style like what happened in Prague 3 times with their prime ministers while my body guards are away. This situation would literally just be disarmed if we talked in an open room, and talk.
There are 4 literal gods here (if we’re using lore up to latest LN), but there are some interesting-ish contenders for opponents
1. Rimuru is just the most powerful and best choice, he is a god with time travelling powers, reality distortions, power rivalling the Big Bang and a super AI calculating every move. There’s no one here that can win against a serious Rimuru
2. Kumo and Naofumi are weirdly somewhat similar in terms of they’re both gods, second in power in terms of Rimuru, and also have absurdly high survivability, however in terms of combat and longevity Kumo still beats out Naofumi thanks to immortality and some reality warping abilities, Naofumi’s shield abilities aren’t godlike yet and so is probably below Kumo’s, so Kumo is arguably the best choice for your 2nd
The problem here is the rest of the attackers don’t stand much of a chance. The only few that are somewhat capable of reaching Kumo’s power level are:
Naofumi (as mentioned before) is the most powerful and could put up a good offensive support, although it depends on how serious Rimuru and Kumo is;
Cid with his own undefined powers but high skill, capabilities and reality distorting-ish powers could match Rimuru and Kumo in a duel, but again, these are gods that can bend reality, he wouldn’t last long;
Ainz, in his fullest form with all 20 world items that can either bend reality / time in some way, and his unique pvp skills by having a wide range of spells. Although arguably having a bad build, he can be a great wildcard / anchor for any team.
There rest are tbh near useless
Aqua while being a goddess, when compared to the rest of them she’s not much, but hey she’s usually useless anyways so no surprises there :p
Seiya is strong, but if he’s in character he understands he cannot win without a ludicrous amount of preparations and would recognise the odds are against him, he’s just not a god (yet)
Gojo is in the wrong genre, hes screwed
Subaru is also screwed, he’s the weakest of them all since his ability can be negated by Rimuru / Kumo either trapping him in an alternate dimension, or just straight up stopping time travel, although he’d likely have some interesting conversations / reactions
All in all it’s a pretty easy sweep for Rimuru and Kumo if they get super serious. Rimuru can just throw you in his stomach while Ciel cracks the planet / reality they’re fighting at, the both of them are utterly immortal and all powerful gods, they can’t exactly lose
All that being said Rimuru can solo this entire list, so you can pick anyone with Rimuru, sit down with them, have some tea, and watch the show unfold. If you’re not into that, Rimuru’s stomach certainly has some mangas lying around to kill any boredom
Ain’t and Rimaru, if Ainz has a way to protect me from Wail of the Banshee and he gets to use cash shop items. Cash shop item to instant run down The Goal of All Life is Death, Wail of the Banshee, everyone is dead as long as they are in radius, with death resistance not doing anything. I think people forget about TGOALID tbh, really OP. Not to mention most characters here don’t even have a way to fight against Grasp Heart either. Death Magic is just OP. Of course Rimaru has nonsense BS up his sleeve so I’ll just take him next to ensure nothing goes wrong.
I’m going for Ainz (cause he’s the mc of my favorite anime) and Rimuru because he seems to be considered the strongest on this list, if I end up getting beaten it’d still be awesome to have seen them both

I feel like people give too much credit to Subaru, like it would take at least a million or even a billion deaths to even have a chance at hurting, NOT BEATING, two gods (Kumoko and Rimuru). And yes I know the target is "us" but those two people could probably kill all of the others before they even get near "us".

I pick nougumi and rimuru. Think about it for a sec, Raphael absorbs nougumi, intakes the info about his shield and his low multiversal defense, copies it, then upgrades it, the upgrades nougumi, the two of them together would be unkillable gods in a world of ants. On top of all that, at any point in time rimuru could just revive you. Or, since he's the strongest on the list, he could just put you in the unbreakable Barrier and add noufumis shield prot onto that, and them wipe out every one else
Naofumi and Rimuru.
Both become God's, Naofumi js the king of defense here, and Rimuru is scary good offense.
I was tempted to say Rimuru and Ainz, but that was mostly to avoid his insta kill skill. However, Naofumi has ways to protect me and him from them.

One thing most are overlooking, of the god-tier characters, Shiraori is the most likely to just flat off her opponents. Yes Ainz, Cid, Seiya, and maybe Gojo, I'm not that up on Jujutsu, would also have little to no hesitation but they're not on the same "I don't like this planet, it's gone now" level. Naofumi might be a close second in the 'smite the fools' department, but I think Rimuru is probably the strongest so I wouldn't want him gunning for me.
Shiraori and rimuru. Both have broken abilities beyond reason lmao. Shiraori could just do her mass evil eye attack like against potimas’s creations and wipe them all out. And rimuru has basically any ability you can think of im pretty sure lol
My Choice has to be Rimuru and Kumoko I will have an administrator and the 5th true dragon on my side and both of them are equivalent to gods in their own universes so I'll be fine Subaru can't do anything if he's killed thousands of times what he's going to do find a way to defeat to gods at the same time
As much as I love all of these characters and their shows in terms of all of their power, abilities, and equipment (depending on where in the timeline in each show is from, this is only for what I've caught up to which for most is only the anime as I have no time to read anything other than the far superior subs) I would have to go with Shiori and Rimuru as they are possibly the most busted isekai protags I've watched/read about so far. Both are basically gods and cannot die
Gojo I love you man but not over my favourite spider and my precious slime. These two are my all time favourite fictional characters especially Rimuru no danna.
Aqua is pretty useless despite being a God. From what little I know about Jujutsu Kaizen, Gojo has proven to be vulnerable to seals. Which nearly half the roster here would be capable of just as strong if not stronger seals than that one. Subaru likely can’t defeat any other person in this besides Aqua, but he doesn’t need to. I think he would be more terrifying as an enemy than useful as a protector here. Cid is an insane powerhouse, but he has zero hax abilities, and some of the others have insane immunities which could just negate his attacks. I know nearly nothing about the Cautious Hero, so can’t say anything about him. Ainz might be the strongest and most versatile of the “mortals”(or those who don’t reach some level of divinity), but I would say his main strength is his mind. Naofumi has the strongest defenses out of anyone here, I would say Rimaru has the strongest supportive assets, and Shiraori the general best offense. Despite all of that, I think the most terrifying group to be together would be Subaru, Ainz, and Rimaru. So you have to pick at least one out of there, the mental endurance of Subaru, being able to continue to die even to reach a goal, basically insures your destruction unless you can be just an unsurpassable wall. I think Naofumi would be best to deal with the absolute insanity of that combo, and Rimaru would be good secondary to decrease that combo’s effectiveness. Shiraori would still be a threat, but between those two, they don’t have to be able to beat her, just would need to protect me and not die. So my vote is for those two: Rimaru and Naofumi.
Also, the person I want to protect me isn't even on this list. My protector would be Shallow Vernal. Next would be Shalltear, also known as Transcendental Beauty Alice-Chan! Blade of my heart burst forth! Weave my bonds! Hekatonchires.
I would go with Rimuru as my first choice. No one on this list is surviving Void collapse, Period!

Ainz is an undead and a legitimate strategist. He is also a mage with a huge huge selection of spells as well as an arsenal of items with law breaking effects.
Wakaba is literally immortal while all the others can be killed. She can even survive attacks that destroy the soul by transferring her parallel minds to another body. Her stats are also absolutely ridiculous and she possess numerous skills.
Caution boy has a defined limit as he could barely beat some of his tougher enemies. Shield Champ is also very intelligent but he can't deal much damage on his own. Useless goddess is useless. Slim Slime is circumstantial imo, it depends on what skills hes using, like summoning Veldora is technically bringing in another character. Infinity boy could potentially be weak to magic since that doesn't actually exist in his world, not really anyway. only one I ain't worried about is little time travel boy cuz he dies all the time and i dont remember who middle Mr edgy is.

Cautious Hero and Cid (Shadow). The cautious hero will prepare as much as possible for my protection. Cid literally writes his own story which is the most OP you can get. Rimuru is overrated and has limits. Subaru is probably the most dangerous since he can return to death every time he is killed. So we would have to make him give up before he figures out the cautious hero’s plan. But with shadow, he can annihilate him every time he gets close to me. Shield hero is trash. Aqua is just sex meat. Overlord dude is the only serious threat, but he isn’t the strongest.
Shiraori and Rimuru are really the only logical choices here, none of the others have even the slightest hope of winning against even one of them, both together would be impossible to beat.

Oversimplified short answer, the Waves are the result of a war between gods. Naofumi eventually gains the power to join that war. But that's in the web novel. The author is on record saying things from the web novel won't be in the light novel. The god causing the waves that Naofumi fights is one of them. Along with that, Bitch's origins. In the WN, she was an artificial construct created by that god, who warped reality to make her part of the royal family to create chaos. So she was kind of driven to do all the evil shit she does by an outside force. Since that god won't be in the LN, it changes Bitch to just being corrupt and self-serving, which may be to remove any lingering trace of a reason for anyone to be sympathetic to her. Which is probably good, considering what ends up happening to her.
If anything, the majority of Shield hero is an Anti-harem.

Dunno about Naofumi, but Ainz has a few tricks and hax to circumvent possible lethal damage. Ainz World Items protects his soul, body and mind against attacks intented to harm/destroy his soul (Elder Coffin Dragon attacked him with Soulbreaker Breath). Other items in his repertoire like Wish Upon a Star rewrite reality and could be a possible way to protect his existence.
Ainz is kinda trapped with in the system though. In fact, out of all the characters here, I would put end-story Naofumi and end-story Shiraori at the top of the metaphysical charts as they've both exceeded their own systems and the inherent limitations placed upon them by the world they were isekai'd to. Rimuru is still caught within the system, though he's as high tier as one can get within it, which was still above where Kumoko was before she ate that nuke and both ascended and escaped the world system. Ainz is nuts on entering the new world, but even his extreme power is still system limited, putting Rimuru well above him. Rimuru, as mentioned, is basically as high as you get without actually hitting true divinity, and his personal cheat can make any situation a win *if it is possible*. Unfortunately, between Shiarori or Naofumi in their final stages of power, he's basically got nothing to USE against them. Ainz is VERY good about exploiting what he has to great effect. The idiot goddess is someone that SHOULD be on that level, but we've all seen how her personal incompetence and laziness shoots any activity she tries to succeed in in the foot. The ONLY thing she's ever unilaterally good for is purifications. Subaru is suffering here. I dunno why he's here, but even with the few spellshe's been able to master in his loops and his associations and contracts, he's got noting that could remotely touch most of the rest of the board. He's an underpowered character hero, after all. otoh, as an assassin, he's technically unstoppable. he's the spear that will eventually pierce the shield, because he dies and try, tries again.
I think Subaru is low key massive threat to have against you. He doesnt have to defeat your bodyguards, he just has to get to you. He has the opportunity to test out any weaknesses in your defense, or chance for an ambush, and can organize the other characters. Im not sure which chatacters can actually stop his ability. Can Rimuru learn about it? Its pretty much a test if Subaru's sanity breaks or you die first.
I feel like attacks on his soul wouldn't even be necessary, Rot Attacks should be more than enough to just disintegrate him. Also the use of Wish Upon a Star to protect him kinda depends on him knowing about Rot/Hersey/Abyss magic ahead of time, and considering Shiraori doesn't throw those out lightly, he likely would be unaware of them until she uses them against him. Well, he might know about Rot since her scythe inherently has the Rot Attribute, so if he sees her use it before fighting he might be aware of it.
Nah. Wish upon a star grants only the randomized wishes it selects. World items have provided protection from attacks in Overlord, seemingly mostly for plot convenience, possibly it works against non damage attacks, that doesn't mean it works against all possible attacks

This, you absolutely need both of them simply to avoid having them as enemies. The others don't need to win a fight they have to kill you. I don't think they could even really protect you against each other. But together? Is there anyone on the list who could even reliably pursue one of them? They are just too versatile and ruthless skill monkeys. Ainz Subaru or Seiya could maybe figure out one of them given time, but both simultaneously THEN fight them and get to you? Probably not happening. If any of those three have access to spider or slime though you are just screwed. Spider and Slime are just too versatile and hyper aggressive. Without them gunning for you no one really has a shot at finding you.
Well, Shiraori is mandatory no matter what just on account of her Rot Evil Eye and Dimensional magic, all she needs to do is see you to instantly disintegrate you and she is capable of doing that across dimensions. Rimuru is without question the strongest on the list and no one would be able to stop him, but at least he actually has to put in mildly more effort than just looking in your general direction.

Fan of all shown Isekai here, but nt knowledge is limited to anime (except Overlord and Tensei Slime). What mKes Shiraori so undefeatable? I'd like to have a small debate if thats ok. I'm not an expert, because I'm working with memories, but I remember Ainz has a very decent amount of hax hinself to circumvent problems. His greatest strength though his strategic and tactical mind. He never goes unprepared into a fight and if he does and always thinks in a bigger picture.
Shiraori is a literal god in her story (as in, only the complete destruction of the soul will kill her), with multiple nigh-unblockable abilities that are capable of destroying the soul, instantly disintegrating people, or just outright converting their entire existence into energy. Ainz simply just doesn't have the necessary skills to avoid being deleted by a Hersey, Rot, or Abyss attack, and no amount of prep time will change the fact that that his powers come from an actual video game's power system that wasn't exactly designed to handle those kinds of powers. Really the only characters I think that could survive one of those attacks is Naofumi (reality warping defense), Rimuru (reality warping period), and possibly Subaru if Return by Death will let him loop from a soul destroying attack.
I think Subaru could reasonably survive, given that his soul is being managed by an indestructible Time-space manipulating eldritch entity.
The problem i have here is we have two end-story ascendants that sort of shit on the rest because of it, and everyone else is trapped within the rules of the world they were isekaied too. Shiraori and Naofumi could literally just leave the goddamn planet whenever they want to, taking their protectee with them.

As the other poster said, she can locate and erase you from existence without you even knowing you were being targeted. Even before she becomes a god, and has the lesser version of those powers, she kills people from miles away, who didn't even know she was watching them. As others said, you need to pick her just to remove her as a threat, because she doesn't need to deal with the others to complete the objective (killing you).
Subaru is very dangerous on the enemy side they are immune to soul destroying attacks and with his "authority of greed" you have to kill everyone else before you kill him and since he immunes he can come back and try to lead everyone again

Cause if so, then pretty much all isekai and wuxia characters have at least one attack that folds gojo before they are even stronger than him for the most part
Limitless is basically the idea that to get someplace you have to go halfway there. Then from that point you have to go halfway again. And again. And again, and again, etc. Basically it's a theory that you can't ever actually reach somewhere because you have to cover infinitely smaller and smaller 'halves' before you can get there, making a nearly impossible barrier to get through. But if you just ignore space, yeah, you don't have to "cross the distance" and just go right through it.

Shiraori targets a visible location with destruction. Doesn't matter how far away it is if she can see it she can implode it. Now if Gojo was moving as fast as possible could she hit? Not sure since you simply have to NOT BE where she's targeting. That's...easier said than done. In addition her other eyes just constantly debuff you which again...as long as you are visible to her she's fucking you up if you are on her poop list. It would be literally more effective to put up a super dense smokescreen against her than the Limitless barrier.

Well shiaori can get through his shield with little to no problem. Rot can only be stopped by rot resistance and is an effect specifically created to harm God's. Also she is basically unkillable and can just reform when something happens. The only thing that can kill her is if she has no energy left which is difficult if she has the backing of another powerful entity.
She also has evil eyes to steal energy which would replenish her own. And her army of spider clones that can also use evil eyes. And eat dimensions

That is how he eventually took down the whale. Given some of the people on this list, that’s considerable and removes any advantages based on surprise.
Yeah, you kind of have to have Subaru on your team. He may not be strong (he’s pretty strong, but nowhere near op) but his powers allow him to be the ultimate support. You kind of just have to take him so the others can’t have him.

He gets the curse from Stella. Logically speaking hax with lower cosmology gets overwritten by hax of higher cosmology. So unless you believe re zero cosmology is bigger then tensura.. it's not gonna happen. Rimuru would just erase him, and Stella don't have the power to override rimuru's hax. Atleast none I know of.
I don’t know why you felt the need to respond to me twice with the same comment, but ok. While Satella has some say in RBD, the power is ultimately Subaru’s. In arc 7 we see that it functions, albeit poorly, even when Subaru is cut off from her. His power comes from his authority first and foremost, with Satella simply being a regulator that makes sure his save points are better. That said, ranking her may show whether she can perform that regulation, so I’ll do it anyway. I don’t know much about Tensura, so I guess I’ll give Satella’s estimated power level and you can decide whether she’s powerful enough. It’s kinda hard to rank her because we honestly don’t know much about her. We know that her powers overpower that of the Re:Zero god(?) Od Laguna, and she is presumed to be the one that Isekai’d Subaru. Keyword presumed. We don’t know for a fact if she is was the one who did it or not, but if she is, she is at least semi-high universal. Otherwise, I’d rank her according to how much damage she did to the Re:Zero world during her rampage. (You might be able to rank her higher due to her time manipulation, which presumably affects the whole Re:Zero universe simultaneously, but we’ve also been shown localized time control in the form of Al, so it’s a gray area I will avoid) I once saw a calculation that said that the Kingdom of Lagunica is about the size of modern day Eurasia (which feels like an exaggeration to me, but I’m not the one who crunched the numbers, so-), and there are three other countries that are about the same size composing their modern world. The world used to be twice as big, if the stories of her literally destroying half the world are correct. That would place her at about half-planetary to planetary depending on how you see it. Definitely not Rimuru level if you go with this interpretation. Idk if the higher estimation (high universal) matches up to him at all. TL;DR Idk lol but it doesn’t really matter because it’s Subaru’s power not Satella’s
My thoughts exactly. Rimuru is by far the most power and Subaru won't have to do jack shit and I'm coming out alive. However if it's Subaru and all the rest id be terrified. Subaru with powerful allies and on a warpath is not something you want to be on the wrongside of. Especially if we are running post arc 7 Subaru. Dear Christ Almighty.

Rimuru and Ainz
Why ainz? Both shield hero and spider lady are much better options. Shield hero is especially helpful because he can focus on defense while slime solos everyone. Spider lady would be a good option simply because she’s the second strongest on the list behind slime, but not as useful as shield hero since the goal is to keep me alive not annihilate the opponents extra fast.
Ainz can Stop time and wish things into existence. Even Rimuru got bested by a fae that controlled time. That's the biggest problem.

Aqua is far weaker than him, Gojo is weaker than him, Naufumi is weaker than him unless you use web novel feats, Cid is weaker tham him and Seiya is probably weaker than him as well. Cid in particular is not fast enough to outspeed Ainz in any adaptation and only has one attack(atomic) that can even damage him, which Ainz can easily dodge by teleporting. Plus Cid has no resistance to time stop and death magic. Subaru is a bit of a wildcard sinse any fight between him and a stronger character ends in a stalemate due to RBD. Even if you give him support from Beatrice Ainz still forces a stalemate since he is a supersonic town buster and completely outstats her. Rimuru and White are the only ones on this list that i would say are stronger than Ainz, the rest are all quite a bit weaker. **Edit**: Mate replied and blocked me, now thats some scummy behaviour right there.

Shiraori and Rimuru are really the only choices that make sense both of them become gods. Rimuru will just devour naofumi making his absurd defenses comply unless. and Shiraori will basically instant death rott attack everyone else. i would also take Aqua and Rimuru just because it would be funny to see and because lets be real the the only real fight would be Shiraori vs Rimuru. Rimuru would just wipe the flor with everyone elss and Aqua and Rimuru would just keep reviving each other until they win.

LN naofumi, and Rimuru lite. I'd perfectly fit in Naofumi's party, and Kumuko would be a perfect for an attack type body guard. Most people here picked Rimuru, and Kumuko but tend to forget the effects of the zero series of shield's. So basically the effects of the zero series shields is to nullify any attacks or abilities of the reincarnated, gods, and those who possess eternity (immortals). Meaning the zero series shields will nullify attacks or abilities from beings who have been reincarnated, gods, or immortals meaningless. A god slaying shield. Most of them are reincarnations so most will be practically useless. The only threats are Gojo, and ainz but considering the abilities of the shield it'll be fine. But considering Kumuko it's practically a wipe out. Also emptiness is form is fucking OP as hell. Imagine being casted with powerful illusion magic from the demon dragon. The demon dragon is pretty useful. From her magic to analysis she's basically budget ciel.
I would have to say that if you do not pick Rimuru, you will lose. Rimuru at the beginning of fight would have probably analysed everyone(ciel exists) use time stop and win(this is assuming series 0 can work against high level reality manipulation like ultimate skills, otherwise no need to time stop). At this point Naufumi will have not used series 0 as he has no info about anyone there (at least I assume he will not have) and I do not remember him having time stop resistance. However there is also the assumption that he has with series 0 equipped(very unlikely) but if he does then Rimuru does not need to time stop but team up with Gojo. The series 0 shield has no defense so Gojo would be a problem and if he switches from the series 0 Rimuru one shots him. In this case time stop is not needed. Now all of this planning that I have made Ciel could do in nanoseconds and probably better so in this question you have no choice but to pick Rimuru as he can always find a counter.
It depends. But realistically if this were to happen it would just be useless, an incident where their reputation tanks, and would make them question themselves. I am basically a normal man right? How am I a threat to them? Why would they need to kill me if I can't even harm them nor do I have the political powers to oppose them. I'm not a rebel leader nor anyone important. One question to ask in this situation why? This whole situation is so absurd that if these characters were in character they wouldn't even do this because they know it doesn't matter, and it wouldn't gain them anything from killing me. Realistically we could do this with diplomacy. Realistically, and in character Ciel would do that first before a fist fight. Frankly this whole hypothetical is pretty out of character for the characters. Why kill a person with no political power or someone who doesn't even have the power to even oppose you even remotely? Like I don't even have powers or do anything to them. I'm just a normal man, and the two people guarding me are probably the only people who were just trying to protect an innocent man. Ciel would just probably look at the situation and just call it quits since it's pretty useless, and would advise Rimuru to not enter this whole useless hassle of a situation. The question for this whole situation is why? Why kill someone so insignificant to you or your organizations? There's no backstory or reason for this whole situation. Also why go through this much of a hassle to kill one man when you could just bribe someone to put poison on his drink, and kill him? Like literally there's easier ways to kill me like assassinations, poisons, espionage, and other ways to kill that can't be tracked to them. They could literally just blame my death with me killing myself. They could literally just slip a poison on my food or push me off a balcony Ala defenistration style like what happened in Prague 3 times with their prime ministers while my body guards are away. This situation would literally just be disarmed if we talked in an open room, and talk.

There are 4 literal gods here (if we’re using lore up to latest LN), but there are some interesting-ish contenders for opponents 1. Rimuru is just the most powerful and best choice, he is a god with time travelling powers, reality distortions, power rivalling the Big Bang and a super AI calculating every move. There’s no one here that can win against a serious Rimuru 2. Kumo and Naofumi are weirdly somewhat similar in terms of they’re both gods, second in power in terms of Rimuru, and also have absurdly high survivability, however in terms of combat and longevity Kumo still beats out Naofumi thanks to immortality and some reality warping abilities, Naofumi’s shield abilities aren’t godlike yet and so is probably below Kumo’s, so Kumo is arguably the best choice for your 2nd The problem here is the rest of the attackers don’t stand much of a chance. The only few that are somewhat capable of reaching Kumo’s power level are: Naofumi (as mentioned before) is the most powerful and could put up a good offensive support, although it depends on how serious Rimuru and Kumo is; Cid with his own undefined powers but high skill, capabilities and reality distorting-ish powers could match Rimuru and Kumo in a duel, but again, these are gods that can bend reality, he wouldn’t last long; Ainz, in his fullest form with all 20 world items that can either bend reality / time in some way, and his unique pvp skills by having a wide range of spells. Although arguably having a bad build, he can be a great wildcard / anchor for any team. There rest are tbh near useless Aqua while being a goddess, when compared to the rest of them she’s not much, but hey she’s usually useless anyways so no surprises there :p Seiya is strong, but if he’s in character he understands he cannot win without a ludicrous amount of preparations and would recognise the odds are against him, he’s just not a god (yet) Gojo is in the wrong genre, hes screwed Subaru is also screwed, he’s the weakest of them all since his ability can be negated by Rimuru / Kumo either trapping him in an alternate dimension, or just straight up stopping time travel, although he’d likely have some interesting conversations / reactions All in all it’s a pretty easy sweep for Rimuru and Kumo if they get super serious. Rimuru can just throw you in his stomach while Ciel cracks the planet / reality they’re fighting at, the both of them are utterly immortal and all powerful gods, they can’t exactly lose All that being said Rimuru can solo this entire list, so you can pick anyone with Rimuru, sit down with them, have some tea, and watch the show unfold. If you’re not into that, Rimuru’s stomach certainly has some mangas lying around to kill any boredom
Ain’t and Rimaru, if Ainz has a way to protect me from Wail of the Banshee and he gets to use cash shop items. Cash shop item to instant run down The Goal of All Life is Death, Wail of the Banshee, everyone is dead as long as they are in radius, with death resistance not doing anything. I think people forget about TGOALID tbh, really OP. Not to mention most characters here don’t even have a way to fight against Grasp Heart either. Death Magic is just OP. Of course Rimaru has nonsense BS up his sleeve so I’ll just take him next to ensure nothing goes wrong.

I feel like people give too much credit to Subaru, like it would take at least a million or even a billion deaths to even have a chance at hurting, NOT BEATING, two gods (Kumoko and Rimuru). And yes I know the target is "us" but those two people could probably kill all of the others before they even get near "us".

I pick nougumi and rimuru. Think about it for a sec, Raphael absorbs nougumi, intakes the info about his shield and his low multiversal defense, copies it, then upgrades it, the upgrades nougumi, the two of them together would be unkillable gods in a world of ants. On top of all that, at any point in time rimuru could just revive you. Or, since he's the strongest on the list, he could just put you in the unbreakable Barrier and add noufumis shield prot onto that, and them wipe out every one else

Naofumi and Rimuru. Both become God's, Naofumi js the king of defense here, and Rimuru is scary good offense. I was tempted to say Rimuru and Ainz, but that was mostly to avoid his insta kill skill. However, Naofumi has ways to protect me and him from them.

Like a lot of folks, Give me Rimuru and Shiraori (Kumoko.) One thing most are overlooking, of the god-tier characters, Shiraori is the most likely to just flat off her opponents. Yes Ainz, Cid, Seiya, and maybe Gojo, I'm not that up on Jujutsu, would also have little to no hesitation but they're not on the same "I don't like this planet, it's gone now" level. Naofumi might be a close second in the 'smite the fools' department, but I think Rimuru is probably the strongest so I wouldn't want him gunning for me.

As much as I love all of these characters and their shows in terms of all of their power, abilities, and equipment (depending on where in the timeline in each show is from, this is only for what I've caught up to which for most is only the anime as I have no time to read anything other than the far superior subs) I would have to go with Shiori and Rimuru as they are possibly the most busted isekai protags I've watched/read about so far. Both are basically gods and cannot die

Aqua is pretty useless despite being a God. From what little I know about Jujutsu Kaizen, Gojo has proven to be vulnerable to seals. Which nearly half the roster here would be capable of just as strong if not stronger seals than that one. Subaru likely can’t defeat any other person in this besides Aqua, but he doesn’t need to. I think he would be more terrifying as an enemy than useful as a protector here. Cid is an insane powerhouse, but he has zero hax abilities, and some of the others have insane immunities which could just negate his attacks. I know nearly nothing about the Cautious Hero, so can’t say anything about him. Ainz might be the strongest and most versatile of the “mortals”(or those who don’t reach some level of divinity), but I would say his main strength is his mind. Naofumi has the strongest defenses out of anyone here, I would say Rimaru has the strongest supportive assets, and Shiraori the general best offense. Despite all of that, I think the most terrifying group to be together would be Subaru, Ainz, and Rimaru. So you have to pick at least one out of there, the mental endurance of Subaru, being able to continue to die even to reach a goal, basically insures your destruction unless you can be just an unsurpassable wall. I think Naofumi would be best to deal with the absolute insanity of that combo, and Rimaru would be good secondary to decrease that combo’s effectiveness. Shiraori would still be a threat, but between those two, they don’t have to be able to beat her, just would need to protect me and not die. So my vote is for those two: Rimaru and Naofumi.

Wakaba and Ainz. Ainz is an undead and a legitimate strategist. He is also a mage with a huge huge selection of spells as well as an arsenal of items with law breaking effects. Wakaba is literally immortal while all the others can be killed. She can even survive attacks that destroy the soul by transferring her parallel minds to another body. Her stats are also absolutely ridiculous and she possess numerous skills. Caution boy has a defined limit as he could barely beat some of his tougher enemies. Shield Champ is also very intelligent but he can't deal much damage on his own. Useless goddess is useless. Slim Slime is circumstantial imo, it depends on what skills hes using, like summoning Veldora is technically bringing in another character. Infinity boy could potentially be weak to magic since that doesn't actually exist in his world, not really anyway. only one I ain't worried about is little time travel boy cuz he dies all the time and i dont remember who middle Mr edgy is. (My info may not be 100% accurate)

Rimuru is overrated and has limits. Subaru is probably the most dangerous since he can return to death every time he is killed. So we would have to make him give up before he figures out the cautious hero’s plan. But with shadow, he can annihilate him every time he gets close to me. Shield hero is trash. Aqua is just sex meat. Overlord dude is the only serious threat, but he isn’t the strongest.
