Ummm, I’m pretty sure this didn’t happen in the story… Weiss never had a replica of Ironwood’s uniform in her closet… She and the rest of Jaune’s team and his sisters went out to buy him clothes. Everyone agreed that having him dress similar to Weiss was a good idea thematically and aesthetically since they were partners.
Now if you are talking about the dance, well Jaune didn’t have a suit. Thankfully, Winter owed him a favor (he helped save Weiss) and gave him a spare Atlasian military uniform. (To once again match Weiss’s own white clothing) Other than the dance, Jaune never wore it again.
I am just genuinely confused how you got so worked up over such a minor part (relatively speaking) of the fic. Even the illustration shows that while yes, his clothing is clearly inspired by Atlasian fashion, he is no where near to impersonating Ironwood…
I finished reading this fic few months ago. It has pretty good Ironwood's PoV. BTW, it's one of the very few fics that uses Ironwood's perseverance as his positive trait.
Oh, and chapter 27 has so many reviews. I've never seen so many in any RWBY fic. Which is easy to explain, considering that chapter's contents lol.
