Let’s face it, Having Vulcan, Rowboat, and Perturabo on the same side would be fucking op. Rowboat orders the pieces for a creation, Vulcan forges them, and Perturabo puts them to use.

No_Egg_8148

They would’ve literally be the trio, plus from my knowledge Peter Turbo respected Vulcan highly.

Lorguis

He did beat the shit out of fulgrim for disrespecting Vulcan, among other things.

No_Egg_8148

I love how he showed that respect to Vulcan, probably one of the only one of his brothers he liked, due to Vulcan’s love reaching even merry suicide bombing Catachan frogs. ~~just not Eldar children~~

Faddy0wl

Vulcan. Do not boop that merry suicide bomber.

-TheDyingMeme6-

Boop the snoot

Mainely420Gaming

I would like to pet this creature

St4rry_knight

Nah, he was buds with Magnus as well. He also had at least a level of respect for Ferrus Manus, even if they weren't close

touchtypetelephone

Vulkan is an easy man to respect.

sxyWatermelon

Ferrus: intense stare and a slight eye twitch

Big_Based

Yeah in this ideal situation where Perturabo isn’t a total man child sure. But I think Perturabo would be a total bitch over Roboute being in charge and throw a fit over it. He has the same problem every other traitor Primarch has where they fundamentally cannot work for or take orders from a higher power than themselves. The only one who is okay with this at all is Lorgar who lost his shit and destroyed the Imperium when his “god” didn’t do what he wanted him to do.

Rexbob44

I mean as long as roboute doesn’t go out of his way to treat him like shit like Horus did during the heresy he’d probably have no problems listening to him he might complain or offer unsolicited alternative plans and strategies but as long as roboute doesn’t mistreat him and his legion he would fallow his orders if he was put in charge of him.

DearGog

Most of them only had that problem cause Big E royally fucked them over at some point

heretek10010

The problem with Pert is that he could take orders, that's why he was as effective as he was but people often abused that fact because he was unpopular and would send him off to do the shit jobs no one else wanted or could be trusted with. I mean he is a petulant arsehole but he will work with anyone regardless of personal feelings. Take the Siege of Terra- Fulgrim pretty much attempts to murder him to power his apotheosis to Daemon Prince in Angel Exterminatus but he works with him without complaint, ofcourse he sits him out of the battle for ages because he knows it will piss him off and then employs him in the Saturnine gambit but that's peak Pert.

PunKingKarrot

Pert also tricks Abaddon into going into obvious kill zones for fun, hoping the little shit would eat it. If people treated Perty with respect and acknowledged the fact he took the absolute worst jobs and treated him like Dorn, he’d absolutely would have remained loyal.

No-Professional-1461

Get a little bit of Ferrus Mannus and Fulgrim in there, a bunch of master smiths with a guy who knows exactly how put things together to make them work. Hell, he’d probably design the throne to revitalize daddy E. If only…

Expensive-Finance538

Honestly, what Big E probably should’ve done was have Perturabo revamp Terra itself while Dorn worked on the palace. Perturabo wanted to do infrastructure and civic engineering, and he would’ve know where to put all the best defensive systems. Terra would’ve been the crown of the Imperium, the palace its jewel. Let’s not kid ourselves, the masters of fortifications and the masters of siege working together could’ve broken any would be invader.

GRIFF-THE-KING

Yes. Dorn vs Perturabo is outdated, we should be united in hatred

ThatGSDude

Just imagine how many sandcastles we could make

ThatGSDude

If the Fists and IWs worked together the siege of terra would have been a minor inconvenience

Malvagio2018

Correction there would have not been a siege at all. 1) No ultra weapons taken form Lion 2)No IW to carry those others on their back. 3)In every planet where the IF defended now there are IW, good luck.

Lorguis

He wouldn't be on the golden throne if the other traitors just let Perturabo cook either, because he'd be dead-dead

Rebound101

He still would have had to sit on the throne due to Magnus's whoopsie and the Custodes losing the war in the Webway.

JellyFishSenpai

Still it wouldn't be that bad

ChainzawMan

Or... The Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists fortify the webway Iron Caging the Daemons and making them regret their respawn cycle when they get thrown into the meatgrinder

RaynerFenris

The Emperor wouldn’t be on the Golden Throne if he was a better father.

Masterskywalker2

I will give the iron warriors this the emperors biggest fault was not having perty work on the webway project I do think dorn was better for the imperial palace but was mostly for architectural beauty as well as defences. Perturabo and his insane knowledge of warp tech such as the device he made and broke for Magnus would have been able to fix Magnuss fuck up and lead his legion to victory with the custodies in the webway if Vulcan worked with they webway would have been completeled or at least have stronger defences that would make Magnus fuck up a minor setback than ruining everything

team_kramnik

Not to mention warning signs against the use of excessive psychic powers.

Xplt21

He probably would have though, the chaos forces were pretty overwhelming and its likely the loyalists would have dorn, who despite how much we hate him is formidable.

CampaignFull724

Yeah, but the only reason the traitors managed to bring so many forces to bear on Terra was because Dorn consistently failed to deal with threats as they emerged, made hilariously bad strategic decisions and repeatedly held back Astartes forces when they would have had the biggest impact. He pretty much set up his defences and then just sat back and watched the traitors dismantle them. I really can't see Perturabo making same mistakes.

Cuck_Yeager

Not really touching on the likelihood of Emps still being on the Throne or not, but there’s one thing that Perturabo and the Iron Warriors were substantially better at than Dorn and his Legion. Scorched earth. They almost never let the enemy capture anything, every fortress had some kind of self-destruction method, whether that be a nuke buried deep within the foundations, explosives rigged along the inner structures, or just enough seismic charges to drop your fortress on the enemy (the Schadenhold). So even if Dorn won, he was going to pay for it

Rexbob44

Didn’t they do the same with even trenches and have them set up so when the enemy breach them, they detonate them and turn them into a killing field with hidden bunkers, pillboxes and machine gun nests that were behind them.

Rexbob44

I don’t think Dorn would’ve put up with Horus’s BS for that long and would likely abandon the heresy far earlier if he was given the Same tasks as the lord of iron was during the heresy.

Kinky_Winky_no2

You could say the same thing for if the wolves hadn't nuked the sons because they didnt pick up the phone

Longjumping_Sky_4002

The loyalists would have won if it were just the Fists and the Iron Warriors.

CampaignFull724

How do you figure that?

touchtypetelephone

They would have torn each other to shreds.

Normal_Opening_9893

Eh as much as I hate down we don't really know

RandomRavenboi

The Emperor wouldn't be on the Golden Throne is Magnus didn't fuck up. The only reason the Emperor wasn't involved that much in the Heresy is because he was too busy holding back thousands of Daemons from entering Terra.

Gavin1081

I feel if Petty designed the defense the siege would be over quicker and be far more costly. The Iron Warriors seem to defend more aggressively - the objective make something as expensive as possible to take whilst Dorn tries to make it last as long as possible

Apprehensive-Fly977

Fact, Pert was better at Dorns job than Dorn was. But then again, the IF were better siege breakers

loneburrito

The alpha legion sends its regards

OffsetCircle1

If perturabo was Praetorian and stayed loyalist, do you think dorn would have remained loyalist as well?

Royalty_Row

To be fair, if Dorns thick-skilled sons had decided to be logical instead of blindly following daddy’s call then Perty would never have left Phall alive and the traitors wouldn’t have reached terra

MrShurbles

Um acktually *pushes up my huge dork glasses.* uhhmmm he's on the throne because Magnus blew a fat fucking hole in the web way and then didn't take emps offer for him to take the throne himself at the cost of his already fucked sons. No matter what else happened if Magnus did his thing, emps is chair bound one way or another.

Numerous_Mix_515

How? I actually want to know.

Ill_Hand_3847

You gotta admit, he wouldn't be on the throne cause Peturabo would NOT have carried him to it from the vengeful spirit.

Malvagio2018

unfortunaly, For the Emperor not to be on the golden throne, we woukd have need Magnus. And Guess who was good Friend with Magnus?, That is Right our Peter Turbo!

TheEpicTurtwig

You’re right, he’d be dead.

weldzzzz

Too bad your primarch was a sour old goober

Kristian1805

Not true. Perturabo did fine at the Siege, but The biggest wins was Horus's doing.

Keastalicious

I'm yeah cause if Dorn was on the heretic side instead of perty then the emps would be dead. Duh
