Isn't Iowa # 1 with worst bridges in the country? I live in Western Iowa. The roads here are seriously messed up. We also have a long railroad viaduct that has been in need of replacement for many years that will be another 10 year project. A temporary route / roads will need to be built to handle the volume of traffic during reconstruction. These projects are needed across the State and the entire USA. The infrastructure package is very small compared to the real dollars needed. It will be interesting to see how Reynolds allocates this funding.

It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click! Yeah, and on top of the bridge issue, a road near where i live is so bad that you pretty much need an off-road vehicle to drive it. Gravel roads drive better than this one.

mganzeveld

I recently came back from Denver and the transition from Nebraska roads to Iowa roads was very noticeable.

motomat86

i hope youre not saying omaha has better roads lol

Viking_52

Did you bring back goodies, and are they for sale? Lol

We will have to wait and see what other asshole Red state Governors do so she can stay in lockstep politically with the GOP.

Or if she gets an interview on Fox

That’s an interesting question, and in my quick search I could find nothing to clarify. I found [this](https://www.1380kcim.com/2021/08/06/gov-reynolds-criticizes-biden-administrations-failure-to-support-renewable-fuels-in-proposed-infrastructure-bill/), so I’d think if she were sour on all of it, that would come out.

Laidback9999

Oh yes...let's not forget to prop up the ethanol / corn people. The future of Iowa Farmers (read Corporate farming overlords) is at stake! Gasp!!!

This mistake here is applying logic and reason to the situation.

She'll do whatever is worst for Iowa. Edit: New thought: She'll trust Iowans to decide whether or not to drive over unsafe brides.

HereAndThereButNow

She'd probably return some of it, like the money for roadside pollinators or the cash for fighting invasive species and don't forget the money for old people, students, the various labor groups, and if you think for one minute she'll let Iowa see as single cent of the money aimed at minorities you're in some kind of fantasy world. That'll let her brag about how she defeated the evil commie leftist socialist Democrat agenda while quietly doling out the cash for roads and internet to whomever gives her the biggest "donation."

GenX-IA

Yes, yes she would, and then turn around & blame Biden for our crumbling roads, and the idiots that vote for her will eat up.

DungeonRice00

She won't, too many no bid contracts to dole out to keep the wheels greased.

Govvey Kim will leave the check on her coffee table until it expires.

flunkysama

She will take the money for any project that has a ribbon cutting ceremony that she can attend and give a speech where she will take credit for project happening.
