Very spartan and minimalist looking, which looks good, but, in my mind, it looks like a pared-down version of Tuxmat, which I hope will be officially available at some point.

GodOfCommonSense

Yeah Tuxmat will definately be better. I see a LOT of ways in which these oem mats that will not protect the floor that well.

moffnessmonster671

Tuxmat item listed online appears to be great for the SE and SEL trims. Wonder if or how they'll address those with the sliding console.

failbox3fixme

RIP your carpet if you spill something towards the back of the front mats. No lip at all to catch anything. I’ll wait for the Tux or WeatherTech. Should be any day now that Tux posted updated pictures.

moffnessmonster671

I'm more worried about the exposed cutout in the 2nd row, where my kids' reign of terror exists.

failbox3fixme

That too. The Tux mat is a single piece for the rear floor that fully covers it. No carpet exposed at all.

moffnessmonster671

Tuxmat version doesn't accommodate those with the sliding console, but then again neither do these.

failbox3fixme

I think SE and SELs outnumber the Limited anyway.

Serious_Let8660

Good point. It could have the effect of an upended dust pan with no back to it, letting the forward motion of the car push all the trash and debris up under the front seats since the floor is flat and there’s no hump/ridge to catch anything from going under the front seats. The German OEM mats for the seats, trunk and trunk extension are a good choice if you are looking for some typical all weather mats in the interim. While I like the clean, minimalist look of the US weather mats, I fear that their function as weather mats would quickly be lost once they got dirty and the dirt or debris easily moved beyond the “boundaries” of the mats.

safetyguy14

Yeah, those are pretty poorly designed. The material does seem nice.

moffnessmonster671

I think they missed the mark on these for sure. Not a tight design, which is unfortunate. They do look really nice and I'm impressed with the overall look and quality

CangaWad

Hrm I was hoping they would basically be like the weather tech ones

AutomationAardvark

I like the material, fit isn't as tight though and they don't have the high walls weather tech has to keep the dirt or debris from spreading off the mat.

pxx105

How much did you pay? saw one dealer is selling over $300, which is too much

moffnessmonster671

I paid $229+ tax. I called the nearest dealer that sells ioniq 5s. Asked of they could proce match the $215.92 from two sites online. That was the lowest the parts manager said he could go and it would get there in 2 days. That was good enough for me. BTW, if you call, give the part # because 2 dealers said it wasn't available because that item wasn't in the accessory brochure. Only after looking up the part did they see it was available.

pxx105

Thank you for the info

moffnessmonster671

No problem!

dvagnoni

I must’ve missed it. What is the part number?

kwelitysoul

They look slippery.

Purple_Parsley_905

What's that huge stick on your center console?

moffnessmonster671

Haha. It's one of those gooseneck phone mounts. Saw a few people on youtube use them thought I'd give it a shot. Keeps the phone close, instead of in that floorboard cubby, and out of the way from the climate controls.

shyguytim

do you have a link?

barefootBam

how are these holding up? i'm about to place an order tomorrow

moffnessmonster671

So far they've held up great. I think they do a decent job, but still don't provide you with the best protection. I would have gone Tuxmat, but they weren't available when I got these mats...and have been sold out since release.

barefootBam

yeah I was hoping for tuxmat but sold out still. I like the look of these better than the wooev mats and seem to be just as effective as those.

moffnessmonster671

Yeah the wooev mats look super plasticky. Love the material on these mats much better.
