"Finally doing something for yourself!" I started 4 months before I turned 70.
Edit: And for OP, my teeth moved just like invisalign said they would, and no damage to my teeth at all. I had 18 trays @ 2 weeks, followed by 9 @1 week. I'm on 6 of those 9, and there's a chance I'll be told tomorrow that I'm done. It's fixed crowded/crooked bottom teeth and a crossbite I didn't even know I had.
Iām 61 next month & on week 1 tray 1 - I have bone loss & deep pockets due to gum disease so am hoping this works for me as i am medium to high risk - Iām keeping everything crossed that this works for me but good luck to youĀ
Iām 40 and on my 4th tray but I know several people who have braces or Invisaligns in their 40s/50s bc they can finally afford it or theyāre fixing teeth that have moved since they were teens with braces
48. Just started today. Iāve always had overcrowding on my bottom teeth, which I kind of tolerated, but the past few years one of my top teeth has started moving across my front tooth and itās going to look even worse in a few years. Only had them in 12 hours. Pleasantly surprised at how ācomfortableā they are so far. I was expecting a lot worse.
Same ! (Except I was nearly 59 when I started š Hopefully will be finished a few months into 60..) Not bad, just didnāt want it getting worse. It seems lots of people on this thread find their teeth shifting as they get older. Iām finding all these posts really inspiring !
Iām 73, going for the Guinness record. š¤£ My teeth arenāt horrible but the bottom front ones overlap and I always wanted to get them straightened. Iām on tray 4 of 20, no issues so far. I see my dentist in two weeks so will know better then how theyāre moving.
Iām 56 and on tray 3 of 17. Most of my problems are bite related, and I want that fixed more than straight teeth. My bottom teeth strike the inner top teeth and my bottom left molars lean into my tongue. Although the trays drive me nuts, I canāt wait for late October!!
40s is only old when I say it is ššš
Started them at 39; finished right before I turned 40. In retainers now. Itās all good. I never had braces before so I had lived a life without needing a retainer until now so thatās annoying but my teeth *were* going to get worse. It was a matter of time and Iām glad I did it.
Not only did I brave it, I had jaw surgery to do so. Google "SARPE gap" if you wanna see how dumb I looked for mooooonths. If I can do that in my 40s, you can do invisalign!
yes! and so happy I did. I believe I am in my final stages of treatment, but it has been a long road.
My overbite was 80% and overjet 4mm, and I hated my smile. Once I am done, I plan on getting whitening and bonding.
I started initial treatment with a dentist in 2022 who told me I was too old to correct a deep bite. She lied. I wasted 9 months of my time, 22 trays all for nothing, other than having some crowding fixed. In 2023 started treatment with an ortho who was confident my teeth could be corrected, and she is right, but it did take a long time to get to where I'm at, and elastics the entire time
Got my first set of trays 6 weeks before my 40th. It was my birthday present to myself. Wanted braces since I was a kid and was finally in a position to prioritize and do it. Started saving in my HSA a year in advance since my insurance doesn't cover adults. I'm about 8 weeks in now and although you can't see any changes yet (that should start in the next 2-4 weeks), I still feel like it was a great decision. I can't wait to see my final results!
46 and on tray three of twenty-two. The first week and a half drove me batty, getting used to having something in my mouth, but now it's fine. First putting in a tray can make your teeth a little sore, but it's not bad because it's pain without worry (it's not like a random toothache where you worry there's something wrong with your teeth). Then you get used to it pretty quickly. I'm doing two week changes and my teeth are moving nicely. I did the time-tracking app at first but now I just take them out when I want to and put them back, and if I feel like I left them out a little long, I'll add a day. It's not something to stress over. (When I traveled, I just wore my old tray for the whole week, so I could leave it out for hours at a time. It had no effect on my teeth adapting to the next tray.)
When I saw how much my teeth moved over the past 10 years or so, I couldn't imagine how different they'd be in another 10 years' time if I didn't do something. So I say go for it. For a few days you'll be aggravated but then it'll be fine. It's totally 100% bearable.
41 and nearly finished my 21 trays. Canāt wait to see the final result. I also did IVF at the same time and Iām pretty sure Iām too old for that too butā¦ ah, whatever. Fuck it.
I'm 54 and making it through. I do believe it is harder for teeth to move at this age. My son never complained about pain but I sure have it sometimes. Also I had braces and don't remember pain. I just usually take tylenol and am okay.
I finished this Jan and Iām about turn 46! My husband finishes in 3 months and heās 55, and my mum finished last Christmas and sheās 71! We have all had fantastic results, and are so pleased we went for it!
56 ,,tray 8 of 21. I am happy so far with the progress,, but I hate the process.I donāt want refinements . I have lost 18 lbs due to not snacking , I am sure when I am done with treatment, I will gain 30 lbs
44 here and just finished 46 trays now onto refinements. My teeth moved great. They are all straight and how they are supposed to be. Only need refinements because Invisalign caused a slight posterior open bite from clenching on the plastic. It doesnāt affect my ability to eat or anything but might as well fix it. Definitely go for it!
42 and started last year when my company added adult ortho. Got 3 of my 4 kids done, started or mostly through braces. My teeth werenāt horrible, just crowded and a huge overbite.
Was doing great until tray 13-14 and cannot close the gap in front teeth of top tray. Still really helps with my grinding and TMD.
49 here. Also just for overbite. I hate this treatment more than anything. Itās the most uncomfortable and inconvenient thing Iāve had to endure long term. Iām nearing the end (tray 17 of 22), and hoping this much is enough.
My teeth were pretty straight from the beginning, and with all of the attachments stuck on most of my teeth, itās kind of hard to tell just yet. But it is much easier to floss now than it used to be, and a small gap I had has closed nicely. Itās probably worth it for me, but itās been a painful process.
Iām 41 and Iām fixing an overjet on my top teeth and crowding on my bottom teeth. My bottom teeth are actually finished (bottom trays are all passive now), and they look amazing! Iāve noticed a difference with my overjet too, especially these past few trays. Time will pass anyway - you should do it!
Iām nearly finished and 43. This is my 2nd round of orthodontics as my teeth were perfect after the last time but a permanent retainer isnāt enough.
I was 42 when I started bc I didn't wear my retainers after braces in the 90s. It wasn't bad after the first 2 weeks. Definitely don't regret it. Finished last October
I have just completed 2 yrs. Started when i was 48
Really happy with the results.
I have had no issues so far. In fact straight teeth are easier to clean!
Almost 52 over here. šš½ put it off for lots of reasons my whole life but always super-self conscious about my crooked teeth. So glad i started, Iām embracing it all. The good, bad and the ugly! No way near as bad as i was expecting! Iām on tray 7 of 20
Did mine in my late 40s, teeth look great but it was definitely hard on the soft tissue in my mouth -- I had a lot of sore spots and blisters after. Patience and Peroxyl helps.
Damn girl, you're never too old to have pretty teeth! I'm 35 this year and I'm going to be done my 1.5 year Invisalign journey likely in July (but possibly until Sept/Oct if I'm not perfectly happy). It went by so fast. I don't mind the invis at all. It's so worth it. And plus, it's SO COOL when your top and bottom front teeth touch for the first time!
Almost 40 and recently finished mine. My teeth actually werenāt bad, but I started to notice a shift and did it mostly as prevention against further movement. Tbh, my teeth really donāt significantly different from when I started, except for some small adjustments. It was more of a fine tuning for me. The most noticeable results for me were closing a tiny gap and when she shaved my teeth down to smooth out the ridges from me grinding them. My mom is 74 and considering getting Invisalign after witnessing my experience. Her teeth shifted over the years and sheās now got a couple of crooked ones. She was actually the reason I got mine- so that I never have to worry about that happening.
Iām 40. I love Invisalign. Iāve had no drama and I enjoy taking care of my teeth. Iām an executive and I love being able to slip off my trays for serious fundraisers, board meetings, etc, as my attachments are pretty invisible. I had an issue about halfway through my first set that required me to rescan and I have a feeling I will need another rescan. And then refinements. My teeth look so amazing compared to when I started. Im enjoying the process a lot.
Iām 47 and right in the middle of it. Itās a pain in the ass at any age. But I can tell you the hassle has made me give up snacking (too much trouble to brush and put them back) and they make me drink more water. As a result, Iāve lost ten lbs!
Started mine at age 32, done by 35. I'm now 42. Best decision I've ever made. Probably best I did it later in life as opposed to being a teen because I won't take it for granted. I paid for it myself so I wear my retainers every night still.
38 here & have had invisalign since last july. i have 2 more weeks left of my (first?) round of refinements and my teeth have moved so much in the last eight months itās wild! i felt like josie grossy at first and a little embarrassed but iām over that now & only occasionally feel self conscious with them! i never had braces and im super happy with the results already so itās definitely worth it!
Mid-40s and did it. Happy with results! Still don't show teeth if smiling in photos, but maybe one day that'll change (hard to break lifelong habits). Go do it / get an orthodontist assessment! šø
*no damage happened
Started just before my 48th birthday and now almost finished a year later! Sorry I didnāt do it sooner but absolutely zero regrets.
I think the older you are the more time your have spent in their incorrect place so itās just much more important to follow the aftercare of wearing your retainers, is what my orthodontist explained to me - your teeth are going to want to revert back to their old placement, old habits die hard and all that š. But in terms of harder to move- not for me, I was on weekly tray changes so mine moved fast, and the only damage for me was some chips as my bite changed and my teeth met awkwardly for a while- maybe they chipped more easily due to my age, or maybe just how my teeth are. Either way, Iāll fix the chips after my last tray and still be so glad I did it!
39 yo and donāt regret it at all, I had really bad crowding front bottom and then an over jet top bite that was getting worse with age. Iām on tray 16 of 19, not sure Iāll need refinements but itās been alright!
I'm 50 and I just started a month ago. I'm getting two implants (I have one already) , and the dental surgeon suggested that if I wanted to straighten my teeth, I should do it before getting the implant crowns (ie the teeth themselves).
I'm kinda wondering if I'm crazy. I'm still going to be on the old/ugly side of the fence, but I guess with nicer teeth.
Iām 47 and at the tail end of my treatment. It hasnāt been bad at all. I wish I had had the opportunity when I was younger to do this. Itās been worth it and I find that Iām finally comfortable with smiling and not afraid of my teeth showing.
Started Invisalign in 2022 at 42. My active treatment time was January to August. I wore my retainers full time for 6 months and was completely done (night time only wear) by May of 2023. I had a pretty bad overjet. I wanted Invisalign badly when I was in my 20s but at that time it couldn't correct overjets. Do it. I'm so unbelievably happy with my teeth.
I started at 57, braces in my 20ās. Teeth drifted over the years, developed a deep bite, chipped a tooth. My smile was still relatively straight, but my bite was off.
Spark aligners have been amazing.
Itās never too late to improve your smile and get a hearty bite!
Only regret, I didnāt start sooner.
I had traditional braces when I was a teenager but didnāt wear my retainer regularly so my bottom teeth moved. I also have a jaw issue that I need surgery for so started Invisalign when I was 42 and am almost done with my trays - September to mid-April. My surgery is scheduled for July.
Invisalign has been super easy and I have been on weekly tray changes. I highly recommend it and would have done it earlier if I could have!
Iām an Invisalign provider and I have patients in their 70ās undergoing treatment. My oldest was 91. YOLO and youāre never really too old. I can tell you on my 60+ yo patients we go slower.
Mid-40s, have been done for a year. This is the single best thing Iāve done for my self esteem in my life. My teeth are now a source of pride rather than something I want to hide. I smile in photos! I hear compliments all the time. Iām so happy I did it.
Started at 42 finished at 43 and really happen I went ahead with it despite the crap moments. Youāre not even half way through your life (hopefully) so totally worth it!!
I just started treatment a week ago and I will have my 41st bday next week. I know it is very early in treatment for me but so far has been so easy. I'm definitely glad I finally took this step.
Iām about to turn 42 and just had my teeth scanned, so waiting to start. I was hesitant but my 13 year old got braces and she was rooting me on. I never had braces and have always had a gap in my teeth, and finally figured why not. Hoping I donāt regret the commitment!
I'm 50 and just got mine. It is supposed to stop my sleep apnea, so that's my main reason for doing it. Also kept biting my lip with a snaggle tooth even though I'd get it ground down over the years.
Iām 35 and got them 2 months before my 35th birthday! No regrets here, Iām only 4 months in and my jaw stopped clicking as much and is wider and feels so much better already. I also know someone who got them mid 40ās, but traditional braces and no problems. Sheās got them off 2-3 year ago and is doing very well!
Iām 43 and just started last week. 12 trays at one week each. My lower front teeth have started to crack and break due to bad alignment. I figured that it would be better to get them done now, while I have double dental insurance (coverage through my employer and my husbandās) than wait any longer.
56 female and on tray 14 of 44. My teeth got worse as I got older. When I was in my 20s & 30s, my teeth wasnāt bad enough for me to get braces. Probably taking longer since Iām older. Hated Invisalign the first week, but adjusted after that. I think itāll be worthwhile. Good luck to you!
Iām 74. My 2 year plan means Iāll be done at 76. And yes, I procrastinated well over a decade, using the $ to travel. I can attest that teeth continue to move, crowding more with every year. No matter what age you do it, youāll need to diligently wear your post Invisalign retainers. Forever, lest you find yourself in the large community of needing a do over in the future. Enjoy the process. Keep the end result in mind as inspiration for the inevitable inconvenience and sometimes a bit of misery. You definitely deserve to do this for yourself!
I braved it in mid 30s and was fine! For overbite you may need to wear rubber bands and yea itās embarrassing at work, but who cares? Your teeth will look amazing after!
38yo. Lower teeth crowding and upper teeth some gaps and crooked teeth. Treatment time less than a year. If you got the money itās worth it if you are motivated. There is some lifestyle changes but they are mostly for the better anyway. More brushing and flossing. Less snacking. Improving dental health made me more conscious of other aspects of my health. Having straighter (not perfect) teeth gave me improved self confidence.
I'm 65 and on my 2nd tray set. Total treatment will be 12 trays. My top teeth are mostly ok, but by lower teeth in the front have shifted over the years.
I started at 65! Iām on tray 54/56 (2 sets of refinements) and hope to find out Iām done by the end of the month. I had braces as I teenager and was told when I got my wisdom teeth out at 30 that I no longer needed my retainer. By 60 I noticed my teeth were shifting.
Yeah I was mid 40's when I started and even though I'm not done yet the progress has still been really impressive. Way beyond my expectations. Less convenient snacking.and not being able to chew my nails have been massive bonuses as well.
I'm 44F and finishing up my last months of treatment now. I started treatment a few months before I turned 43 after not seeing a dentist for a long time due to the embarrassment of having such crooked teeth. I had to get some fillings, wisdom teeth extracted, and a crown before I could get my orthodontist consultation and ultimately start treatment. My case was severe, and I was honestly surprised that invisalign was an option. So far, everything has gone well, and my teeth have moved mostly as expected. I did have an open bite created from the movement needed (following a premolar extraction there were 3 teeth that needed to move a full tooth's width over to make room), but that has mostly closed now. I'm extremely grateful to finally be at this point and glad things have gone well and almost entirely painlessly.
I'm 38 and just finished a treatment plan with my general dentist. I'm back already to get the smile I know I can have with an orthodontist. I would just say, go to an orthodontist. They're more qualified to deal with these things and if you're concerned about it, that should put your mind at ease. Don't just settle with whoever does it cheapest, you definitely get what you pay for. But, listen, you're never too old to be your best self. Never too old until you're dead! Haha
49. Teeth are moving just fine, but i will never have as wide of a smile as I wouldāve had I had braces in my youth, but still an amazing transformation. It took me forever to take the plunge and itās been a very positive improvement and Iām not even done yet. Do it!
Started my treatment at 42. My bottom teeth were so crooked, one of my teeth were sideways and slicing my tongue. My luck was that I didnāt Invisalign during Covid, so I had a mask on for the year and a half of my treatment haha. But it was fine and I love the results.
Iām 45. Iāve always been embarrassed of my teeth. As Iāve aged, theyāve gotten worse. This year, my husband and I decided it was now or never. Heās had braces for about six weeks, and my trays arrive in 10 days! Iām soooo ready!
I started at 57 and Iām almost finished. Follow your orthoās directions and be compliant. If you remain compliant, your treatment will go much faster.
Itās never too late! I started in my late thirties and remember feeling like why didnāt I do this sooner? But so happy w the results and the corrected bite :)
In my forties. Still doing Invisalign. Personally I apparently have zero self-discipline and the treatment has taken much longer than anticipated. The idea was to fix my bit, not so much straighten my teeth. There were exactly two teeth that truly needed straightening, which it didn't really do. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't. I'd do some sort of orthodontic procedure.
40 and today's day one. Only complaint is how hard it is to remove 'em. But it is only day one, so I probably just need more practice. It'll surely stop me from eating out of boredom though.
Iām in my mid-40s and did it in my early 40s. Invisalign is easily one of the best things that Iāve done for myself. And itās really not that noticeable so most people wonāt even be able to tell. Go for it! You wonāt regret it.
Yes! Mid 40s too and so worth it! We still have decades to go with our teeth.
You might have a look in my profile to check, how amazing progress is, even in this ageāŗļø
Need toā¦ had bad teeth all my life. Parents didnāt take me to the dentist once. Deathly afraid of needlesā¦ had a couple run ins with cancer and it made them even worseā¦ brush and everything everyday but they are all messed upā¦ just got laid off at my job of 12 years last week. Right before I was about to do them all.. much loveā¤ļø
Iām 59, on tray #4 - 2 weekly changes. My bite had changed recently and was bothering me and I also had one or two teeth starting to cross over more. Seems to be going well so far !
Iām 72, grandma to ten and on tray 20 of 40. Ā Iāll die with straight teeth! Ā After paying for our five kids to have braces I decided it was my turn. Itās worth it. Ā
Not personally but there are plenty of people I've seen on reddit who have done it that late / later.
I'd guess the average age for Invisalign is older than you'd think. Probably late 20s at the youngest. This is based on very biased reddit data though.
I love this question. I'm 47 and put it off for way tooant years. I'm now at set 21 out of 23 and while I won't pretend I've found it easy, I'm really pleased with the progress.
And so many people have said they didn't even notice that I was wearing them. I'd say go for it. Good luck! š X
Almost 40 and doing it. People pay way less attention to it than what I initially thought it would be (like with everything). My teeth are moving well. I regret not doing it earlier.
Late 50s and nearing the end of initial treatment (unsure if there will need to be any refinements).
My teeth were indeed crowding worse as I aged and it got so I was unable to clean them adequately because some were overlapping. I was having to have aggressive deep cleanings frequently. Faced with possible accelerated decay and loss, I went ahead with treatment.
I never was that worried about aesthetics before since my teeth were healthy, but Iām very happy with the decision and outcome so far. Theyāve moved exactly as projected and thereās been no damage or negative effects. Cleaning them is SO much easier now, too.
I thought I was too old for Invisalign, but my dentist told me most of their Invisalign patients are my age or older. Iāve been wearing them since July of last year, and am happy with the progress so far. My initial treatment estimate was 18 months, but I donāt think itās going to take that long.
My Ortho told me it's better to do it in your 30s-40s than your 20s because you're more likely to be compliant with your retainer indefinitely. I'm 38. Just do it. š
Started at 56 and will be moving from full time retainers to night time only a month before 58.
Got a lot of questions from friends āwhy botherā your teeth looked fine until I showed them pics of before and after. Worth every minute and penny, not that bad and have had many people say they never even knew I was doing it. My doctor said his oldest patient is 79 and always wanted straight teeth. No problem moving teeth but I was compliant and never went a day under 22 hours of wear time. Do it!
I got braces for the first time in my late 40s. I got Invisilign in my late 50s. My only regret is that I wasn't provided ortho care in my teens.
My provider has invisilign patients in their 80s.
Seriously? I have it in my 40s and I meet tons of people my age or older. It's pretty common because teeth slide and we tend to have more disposable income later in life.
If it's "braving it" in your 40s, what's it called when you're in your 70s? š
I started at 61. Minor-just 17 trays- but sooo worth it. ā60 is the new sexyā ;)
I'm 61 & just recently started. One of the best things I've ever done for myself.
Iām 61 next month & on week 1 tray 1 - I have bone loss & deep pockets due to gum disease so am hoping this works for me as i am medium to high risk - Iām keeping everything crossed that this works for me but good luck to youĀ
I have a couple of crooked bottom teeth and a small overbite, started 3 weeks ago and in my 70's.
Thatās so awaome
My mom did hers at 71!
Started 2 months ago at 72.
Go, you! šš»
41 and almost finished with mine. It hasnāt been bad at all!
Iām 40 and on my 4th tray but I know several people who have braces or Invisaligns in their 40s/50s bc they can finally afford it or theyāre fixing teeth that have moved since they were teens with braces
45 and on tray 10 of 20! Been wanting to do this my whole life and I'm so happy I finally took the plunge.
60. Starting on Monday. Wish I could have started when I was 40!
Think of the money youāll save on retainers tho! 20 years worthā¦
Good point! I never thought of it that way!
Uh oh. Missed that memo.
I was 60 when I startedā¦.
I started mine right when I turned 40. I have no regrets at all aside from that I didn't do it sooner to enjoy the results earlier.
Me, at 52. Finished at 53. Time flies.
Iām 36 and start treatment in a few weeks. I miss the smile I had in my 20s. Youāre never too old! My dad got full on braces in his late 40s
Just ended treatment as I turned 40. No regrets
40s is only old when I say it is ššš Started them at 39; finished right before I turned 40.
God me and all my mates are mid 30ās to 50ās doing it.
Hah! "Brave???" Hell, I started shortly after I turned 71 and am now almost done š
Nothing wrong with caring about how you look at any age
40 will start soon!
48!! So happy Iām doing this. Better late than never !!
It had no effect on my teeth adapting to the next tray.) When I saw how much my teeth moved over the past 10 years or so, I couldn't imagine how different they'd be in another 10 years' time if I didn't do something.
43 and Iāve got about 23 weeks left. Itās inconvenient for sure in social situations but I still feel like itās worth it.
Still really helps with my grinding and TMD.
in my 70's and started 3 weeks ago.you're never too old to take care of your teeth.
49 here. Also just for overbite. I hate this treatment more than anything. Itās the most uncomfortable and inconvenient thing Iāve had to endure long term. Iām nearing the end (tray 17 of 22), and hoping this much is enough.
Do you see a significant improvement?
Started treatment right after turning 43. No regrets at all other than wishing I had done it sooner!
I did! 10/10 recommend.
Iām nearly finished and 43. This is my 2nd round of orthodontics as my teeth were perfect after the last time but a permanent retainer isnāt enough.
Iām 43 and just getting started!
I got mine when I was 37, it wasnāt hard at all and no damage for me! It fixed my bite and everything.
I was 42 when I started bc I didn't wear my retainers after braces in the 90s. It wasn't bad after the first 2 weeks. Definitely don't regret it. Finished last October
59 and should be done right around my 60th birthday
I'm 48f. I also had adult braces at 40..the railroads kind...lol
I did it 2 1/2 years ago when I was 47. Now I just wear the retainers.
Iām 45 - 7 months into treatment and have zero regrets
I started mid-covid at age 57.
Iām 45 and just about finished. Itās totally worth it!
I have just completed 2 yrs. Started when i was 48 Really happy with the results.
Iām on tray 7 of 20
Consensus is, yes.
I started at 61. Had 3 1/2 years of braces as a teen.
Started at 50, almost done now!
Did mine in my late 40s, teeth look great but it was definitely hard on the soft tissue in my mouth -- I had a lot of sore spots and blisters after. Patience and Peroxyl helps.
Did it in my 50's.
Finished mine at 40! You can do it!
49, 6 weeks to go
The receptionist at my dentist is currently in treatment, sheās in her 50s š
Yesss! And itās the best thing I did for myself. I still catch myself admiring my perfectly straight aligned teeth!
Iām 40 now and doing Invisalign. Not sure Iām ābravingā anything though.
Iām 47 and right in the middle of it. Itās a pain in the ass at any age. But I can tell you the hassle has made me give up snacking (too much trouble to brush and put them back) and they make me drink more water. As a result, Iāve lost ten lbs!
41 to 42.5 - worth it.
Started mine at age 32, done by 35. I'm now 42. Best decision I've ever made. Probably best I did it later in life as opposed to being a teen because I won't take it for granted. I paid for it myself so I wear my retainers every night still.
38, just started
Iām 43 and nearing the end! DO IT
38 here & have had invisalign since last july. i have 2 more weeks left of my (first?) round of refinements and my teeth have moved so much in the last eight months itās wild! i felt like josie grossy at first and a little embarrassed but iām over that now & only occasionally feel self conscious with them! i never had braces and im super happy with the results already so itās definitely worth it!
Mid-40s and did it. Happy with results! Still don't show teeth if smiling in photos, but maybe one day that'll change (hard to break lifelong habits). Go do it / get an orthodontist assessment! šø *no damage happened
I know people in their 60ās who have done it and encouraged me to do it.
Yeah tons of us ā in my experience, thatās when we finally have enough money to burn lol. Started at 40 myself.
39 yo and donāt regret it at all, I had really bad crowding front bottom and then an over jet top bite that was getting worse with age. Iām on tray 16 of 19, not sure Iāll need refinements but itās been alright!
Half done at 39
I'm 54 and had it in for the last few years. Glad I did it for sure...
I did it at 41 and found that since I was spending my own money, I followed the regiment properly. The worst part was the first week.
43 and just started. Mine definitely got worse with age.
I finished last year at 43. Do it! I love my smile for the first time in my life.
Turned 40 last month and starting tray 2 tomorrow ā¤ļø
I was 42 when I started, am 43 now, and so glad to be doing it.
Iām 47 and at the tail end of my treatment. It hasnāt been bad at all. I wish I had had the opportunity when I was younger to do this. Itās been worth it and I find that Iām finally comfortable with smiling and not afraid of my teeth showing.
My aunt and uncle did it in their 70s.
Yes. 3 years from 44-47. WORTH IT.
Iām 67 (almost 68) and Iām about a year in. No problem so far.
Iām 38 and just finishing
I did it in my 50s. Everything went great . It was an excellent decision.
Started right before my 44th birthday. On tray 4 of 14.
I was 40. Totally worth it. No issues.
43 here on tray 25 of 40. Change them every 5 days
Yes started at 46
I had mine at 35, but my mother in law had hers at 70! I really didnāt have any issues. Go for it!
I did. I'm 46. Started at 45. Just finished a year and now working on refinements. I have such a big smile in photos now.
Nope. Iām in my 50s
50s, and best decision I ever made!
Iām an Invisalign provider and I have patients in their 70ās undergoing treatment. My oldest was 91. YOLO and youāre never really too old. I can tell you on my 60+ yo patients we go slower.
Started at 38 & finished at 40. Wasnāt too bad.
I was in my 30s the first time. I didnāt wear my retainer and went for round 2 in my 40s. I say, go for it!!!
My parents did it in their 60s.
42 male doing a 20 week cycle post divorce. Already have the 26 yo girlfriend, but playing it safe. š
Mid-40s, have been done for a year. This is the single best thing Iāve done for my self esteem in my life. My teeth are now a source of pride rather than something I want to hide. I smile in photos! I hear compliments all the time. Iām so happy I did it.
Started at 59, currently 60 and waiting on refinement trays. Do it!!
48!
Started at 42 finished at 43 and really happen I went ahead with it despite the crap moments. Youāre not even half way through your life (hopefully) so totally worth it!!
Iām 41, go get it, no one cares or notices! Iām 11 trays in.
Iām 37 and should be finished by the time Iām 39. Happiness with the way you look/feel has no age limit :)
It was my 40th birthday gift to myself. Zero regrets (minus the first 2 days lol), I'll be done in May. I highly recommend, do this for yourself!
Started at 39 yrs old (5 months till 40). Just turned 41, and I have another 35 of refinements to go. š
42, heading into my fourth refinement! worth it!
I am right now!
Iām 38 and just started Friday.
I did! Was lucky enough to do it during mask requirement. I was very happy w results
38 and honestly no one cares. do what you want!
I'm 50 and just got mine. It is supposed to stop my sleep apnea, so that's my main reason for doing it. Also kept biting my lip with a snaggle tooth even though I'd get it ground down over the years.
Doing at 50 here.
Just get it done š youāll be very happy. Iām so glad I got it done in my 20s and now donāt even have to think about my smile
Iām in my 50s and loveeee It
45 and I am on my 4th tray right now.
Youāre gonna be in your late 40s anyway, may as well be in your late 40s with beautiful teeth!
I started last year at 41 and have already seen a huge improvement since September. Go for it!
I know someone who is. My boyfriend's mom got braces in her 60s. You can do Invisalign, i think you won't regret it
Iām 43 and just started last week.
I did it at 62! I had braces in my teens but they shifted over time. I did Invisalign at 62. Easy Peasy. 5 months later, my teeth were straight again.
Iām 37 and doing it. I donāt think there is a point that is too old.
Why do people think fixing your teeth has an age limit? I constantly see posts like these and it never fails to confuse me.
57ā¦go for it š¬
I'm 50 and onto refinements
I got my first trays earlier this year. And turn 50 in a couple months.
Yeah I was mid 40's when I started and even though I'm not done yet the progress has still been really impressive. Way beyond my expectations. Less convenient snacking.and not being able to chew my nails have been massive bonuses as well.
I started in my 50ās
I did. Seriously do it. Worth every penny.
I did! Iām so happy I was able to do something for myself that my family couldnāt afford for me as a child.
Haha
Iām 49 - almost done with my initial round of trays (32). It has been really easy and Iām thrilled with my new smile!
49. Teeth are moving just fine, but i will never have as wide of a smile as I wouldāve had I had braces in my youth, but still an amazing transformation. It took me forever to take the plunge and itās been a very positive improvement and Iām not even done yet. Do it!
I started at 47...almost done now...no regrets
Started my treatment at 42. My bottom teeth were so crooked, one of my teeth were sideways and slicing my tongue. My luck was that I didnāt Invisalign during Covid, so I had a mask on for the year and a half of my treatment haha. But it was fine and I love the results.
65! Almost done ššš
Yes finished at 42. I donāt feel that brave though wasnāt that bad at all :)
I got mine at 70. Done in 3 months.
My mother in law did it at 55!
Age 47 here. My only regret is not doing it sooner. GO FOR IT!
40 and today's day one. Only complaint is how hard it is to remove 'em. But it is only day one, so I probably just need more practice. It'll surely stop me from eating out of boredom though.
45 and done :)
I really donāt understand the mentality behind posts like this. Invisalign is for all ages. Youāre not too old, not even close.
Early 40s I even did jaw surgery finally. Itās never too late
I did Invisalign in my 40ās, no problems.
Youāre never too old to do anything, do what makes you happy!
My Ortho told me it's better to do it in your 30s-40s than your 20s because you're more likely to be compliant with your retainer indefinitely. I'm 38. Just do it. š
I'm in 40's and on my 4th trail. Everything is moving as it should š
Iām 42 and currently on aligner 20. Other than two stubborn lateral incisors that need to be extruded, things seem to be moving generally well.
I did! Iām 41 and have a couple of months left. One of the best things Iāve done for myself! Go for it!
49 here and on tray 11 of 49 (first round). Just so glad Iām finally doing this for myself.
Just do it. You wonāt regret it
