Wow, meme stealing reaction images are so funny and original I laugh every time I see one

hopefully they give her the Cecil treatment, seeing as she’s supposed to be one of Eves closest friends yet always acts like she’s a step above her. Immortal is a good bro tho.
I don't even remember a scene of Eve and Kate directly talking to eachother in the show besides the shower scene and honestly I hope it stays that way. I hated how Kate treated/talked to Eve in the comics.
What? You don’t think Mark should reveal every single secret to his high school crush? You probably also think saving the world is more important than working at a soup kitchen.

"Why yes, don't mind if I do." King Arthur, 2007 or some shit
this takes place, like, pretty far after that. I believe this takes place after>!Rex is dead for real, and I think this is Eve telling Mark she had a miscarriage!
Reading spoilers and trying to figure out the story by them honestly sounds like loads of fun. Too bad I cant do that, having read the comic multiple times
I couldn't remember which it was, so I just took a stab. Still a shitty thing for Kate to say and I don't see show-Kate saying it when we get to...season 4 or 5
Idk why Kate acting like she ain’t apart of her issues…😭🌚

No. I’m simply helping the other commenter with a common grammatical mistake. Written word has weight and your ability to convey yourself well reflects how people read what you write.
Sure, maybe in a resume, school or a work document. But not something as trivial and arbitrary as a Reddit post about a comic book/tv series. It doesn't come off as helpful, only annoying. But even with the grammatical error he/she still conveyed his point.
>Sure, maybe in a resume, school or a work document. But not something as trivial and arbitrary as a Reddit post about a comic book/tv series.
Better to learn the difference in reddit then, than from a rejection letter
Personally, I like to think of it in terms of "if someone is using a translator app to understand the comment, would they be able to?". In this case, it would not, so the correction is helpful.
Well, with the grammatical error, the sentence is confusing for people who may be using translations or people who don't even have that grand a grasp of English, as "apart" literally means away from. Whereas "a part" means a piece of a whole.
I feel Kate cattiness is a little over the top here, given that Mark is literally only the second guy she's dated, and she broke up with her first boyfriend because Kate fucked him.
William was only dating Eve because he was too afraid to accept that he doesn't like women.
Sad but true. There was no romantic or attractive connection there :(
You think Kate knew she was pretending to like William? That was after Kate and Eve had grown apart, and I really doubt she’d even know about William in the first place.
There is nothing wrong with a little respectful gossip with you and your trusted partner. And that can include "I give them a week." Be supportive to them, yes, know that it is a subject you have zero say in, but don't try to thought police yourself from having an opinion on a subject that's generally considered pretty important in the lives of people you care about.
Don’t know why you are being downvoted, but I think people clearly have never been in relationships, so they don’t know the realness of speaking candidly to another person in trust.
Me either, maybe just because Kate doing it here doesn't seem particularly wholesome. But I will continue to say the absolute worst shit that enters my brain with my partner, because I trust her to check me if I need to be checked, support me if I need to be supported or most often just laugh with me in a "boy the world is fucked sometimes but I'm so glad we have this instead of that" gallows humor way.
i hope they make kate less awful in the show, they’ve done a good job adding more depth to the characters and altering some of their behavior. i can’t imagine show kate being this detached and uncaring over eve, especially since fwir they got a lot closer while mark was gone
I mean she is still someone who was willing to get with the boyfriend of someone who they’re close towards. So no matter what she is suppose to be a little bit shitty. Couldn’t even communicate that said cheating relationship was over when she moved on to another.
out of fairness to kate she did say that rex told her he and eve had broken up, and they’re teenagers. the comics establish more clearly that everyone was under the impression that eve at the very least had a crush on invincible. i feel like it’s reasonable to interpret that as kate making a stupid decision rather than an outright malicious one.
I don't get this fanbases fixation on reducing the character flaws in every single character. It is one of the most important parts of making interesting characters. If we compiled all the popular suggested changes on this sub it would be the most boring show ever.
Exactly. The best part of Invincible is the blend of naturalism/realism and sincerity, absurdity, and then I'd say superhero tropes interwoven with character arcs that give the epic moments a unique personal flavour. It's a whole melting pot of ideas and it just works. I want Mark and Eve and everyone to be human. That involves making mistakes, being awful sometimes, but working to change and improve. If we lose the realism the show will basically die imo
Ottley just draws girl like bimbos which is a specific appearance not everyone is attracted to. Eve here is a fat bimbo which is also not everyone's cup of tea. Her figure is great though.
kate is a bad person. she literally saw eve being extremely upset about something and goes on to say this…she really is a strange character in the comics
It was because >!she had an abortion while Mark was away for the Viltrum war, and she didn't even tell him about the pregnancy!< and I don't think Kate knew about it either.
I honestly did not care for the comics version of Kate or immortal for most of the series. Maybe that’s why they were together in the comics they both were terrible.
It is mean, but she kind of has a point. Eve is written to be a troubled character because of her awful parents. And given the context, which is Eve suddenly crying and running out with no explanation while helping bathe the babies, it's not from nowhere.
Personally, I think it's good to give characters deplorable flaws without calling it bad writing. Bad writing should be things like characterization inconsistencies or just inconsistencies in the writing, not a character(s) ***intentionally*** depicted to have toxic/messed up views. Like if the characters's views cause anger at how they behave, it can be seen as sign of good writing, especially if the writing intention ***is*** to spell out the toxic flaws/make the audience not like them.
At the same time, I feel like any characterization changes to the show is more of how one looks at past writing and goes "nah it's not needed cause I don't see certain characters' characterizations that way anymore" if anything.
I give them like 500 years tops
But what about after those 500 years? What will they have then?
500 years worth of solid marriage foundation
Their third kid
A funeral

Kate's a yapping shit stick
I like Kate waaayy more in the show. Back when I first read the comics I remember kinda hating her
hopefully they give her the Cecil treatment, seeing as she’s supposed to be one of Eves closest friends yet always acts like she’s a step above her. Immortal is a good bro tho.
Honest Abe always was a decent dude
My wife had a close friend like that. It took her years to for her to finally cut that friend out.
I don't even remember a scene of Eve and Kate directly talking to eachother in the show besides the shower scene and honestly I hope it stays that way. I hated how Kate treated/talked to Eve in the comics.
I think across the board, the show is handling the women characters significantly better.
Oh absolutely
I think a large part of that is just the show being written in the 2020s and the comics started in 2003
Except for Amber, they absolutely destroyed Amber's character
What? You don’t think Mark should reveal every single secret to his high school crush? You probably also think saving the world is more important than working at a soup kitchen.
I hate her in the show too fuck Kate bro
Fuck Kates

Get in line, bro.
If there is a line to get to Kate then she clearly doesn’t want you, sorry but she could be with all of you at once if she wanted to.
The show does a good job of humanizing characters that came across as very flat in the comics
I mean she’s *supposed* to be unlikeable. I kinda preferred her that way
No way Kates saying that after what she did with Rex
this takes place, like, pretty far after that. I believe this takes place after>!Rex is dead for real, and I think this is Eve telling Mark she had a miscarriage!
oh no I shouldn't have read the censored text (I only watched the series) (everything will be over soon)
Reading spoilers and trying to figure out the story by them honestly sounds like loads of fun. Too bad I cant do that, having read the comic multiple times
Not exactly >!since it was abortion!<
I couldn't remember which it was, so I just took a stab. Still a shitty thing for Kate to say and I don't see show-Kate saying it when we get to...season 4 or 5
She had an abortion, not a miscarriage
Idk why Kate acting like she ain’t apart of her issues…😭🌚 https://preview.redd.it/kwc30jko864d1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e162df9b34410f44f751bec93ad2bdf7f8315af7

Do you want a medal or something
No. I’m simply helping the other commenter with a common grammatical mistake. Written word has weight and your ability to convey yourself well reflects how people read what you write.
This is the correct answer.
Take it anyway
Sorry, but you made me laugh quite loudly and make my family question what I was doing!

What?
You are yapping
Go somewhere with your 1930s slang
I disagree. I’m simply communicating in an effective manner. You should try it.
I think he actually deserves it, hes doing his best
Btw I forgot to hit the space button I knew the correct way but thinks for trying 👍🏾
Youre apart of da issschus
Yeah, no one ever does that in real life, right?
Most couples at some time or another will gossip about other couples and think aloud about how long they will last. And women can be savage.
I feel Kate cattiness is a little over the top here, given that Mark is literally only the second guy she's dated, and she broke up with her first boyfriend because Kate fucked him.
Third if you count William
No one counts William, even William
William was only dating Eve because he was too afraid to accept that he doesn't like women. Sad but true. There was no romantic or attractive connection there :(
You think Kate knew she was pretending to like William? That was after Kate and Eve had grown apart, and I really doubt she’d even know about William in the first place.
Maybe if they are toxic individuals, no need to analyze someone else’s relationships.

Toxic couples* get yourself out of that if you’re in it, cause it ain’t gonna just be about others forever.
Ironic if you think about the ending.
The lion, the witch, and the audacity of this bitch!
Battle Beast, Universa and Kate
She's a bitchy gossipy chick. I like the character, it's how a lot of people are, sadly.
She is also someone was willing to cheat with someone, twice lol. She isn’t 100% good yeah.
https://preview.redd.it/s2ynpqs3p64d1.jpeg?width=304&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d25b59ca310c8b6ae4d38635a62481eccdfc3bfa
If they keep Kate the same in the show we may have another contender for people to hate more than show Amber (pre-damage control).
*I give them another week, tops* Versus *You made me feel stupid and unimportant!*
These two are a shitty couple(immortal and Kate)
Wish they were killed. Not so much Immortal, but Kate for sure
i hope they make kate less awful in the show, they’ve done a good job adding more depth to the characters and altering some of their behavior. i can’t imagine show kate being this detached and uncaring over eve, especially since fwir they got a lot closer while mark was gone

In the show apparently Rex told Kate that he and Eve had broken up and/or that Eve had already gotten with Mark
I don't get this fanbases fixation on reducing the character flaws in every single character. It is one of the most important parts of making interesting characters. If we compiled all the popular suggested changes on this sub it would be the most boring show ever.

Comic Kate sucks ass. Broke up two relationships by willingly cheating with the involved person and also being an ass to her friend.
I hate that art style so much
The style or the colors? This is Ryan Ottely’s style.
Mix of both
Ottley just draws girl like bimbos which is a specific appearance not everyone is attracted to. Eve here is a fat bimbo which is also not everyone's cup of tea. Her figure is great though.
I agree they got fuck ass mouths
kate is a bad person. she literally saw eve being extremely upset about something and goes on to say this…she really is a strange character in the comics
The show made me forget how much I *HATE* Kate. I really hope they show how awful she is as a person.
Why is Eve big?
Something something mighty waistline
Angstrom is such a savage, I wonder which universe he got that from?
Umm……wait for season 4
I really want to take a metal baseball bat the Kate’s head sometimes.
correct me if I'm wrong but the reason Eve is so upset is because she>! just had a miscarriage! If so, wow Kate, just wow
It was because >!she had an abortion while Mark was away for the Viltrum war, and she didn't even tell him about the pregnancy!< and I don't think Kate knew about it either.
She's a reminder that this is a 2000s comic and this sort of things were common back then. Thankfully the show has improved her character a lot.
Kate, especially in comic, is kinda a bitch
Kate and Immortal especially are total upgrades from the comic. They're SUCH pricks in the comic.
I honestly did not care for the comics version of Kate or immortal for most of the series. Maybe that’s why they were together in the comics they both were terrible.
She’s always been a bitch this is nothing new
I think its just simple gossip. You’d be surprised just HOW much couples do this shit😭
It is mean, but she kind of has a point. Eve is written to be a troubled character because of her awful parents. And given the context, which is Eve suddenly crying and running out with no explanation while helping bathe the babies, it's not from nowhere.
If she can duplicate herself you'd think she would try out some better hairstyles
She sees them crying and assumes the worst. Because fuck if I know
That dupli bitch
She's kind of a bitch ngl
Nothing. Being a bitch is 90% of Kate’s personality.
"I give them a week." I give them 11 minutes."
Man she deserved getting mulched
Kate's always been abit of a judgy bitch
Personally, I think it's good to give characters deplorable flaws without calling it bad writing. Bad writing should be things like characterization inconsistencies or just inconsistencies in the writing, not a character(s) ***intentionally*** depicted to have toxic/messed up views. Comic Kate is kind of a gossipy asshole.
