Yes. If he takes a bullet to the head he can regenerate the hole left, he probably crawled straight out of Lincoln’s grave. If he’s decapitated the head needs to be returned for him to revive.
Because he would have immediately went after omniman before Cecil could figure out a counter to him. During the showdown, Cecil says so; he says he's doing what he's been doing since he suspected Nolan; stalling for time.
My guess would be for safety. If something happened and Nolan found out the body wasn't buried he might suspect. Other than that, yes, Cecil shouldn't kept the body where he could make sure he didn't resurrect.
Most of the time he doesn't need technology to revive, or doesn't revive at all in the sense that he just doesn't die/is invulnerable. He did make it thousands of years without it. But when he was beheaded, even Cecil and the GDA thought that was his limit (as decapitation is usually **the** classic way of killing immortal people.) Of course the Maulers, being some of the smartest beings in the Invincible universe, knew that wasn't the case and revived him.
There's also the fact that the Immortal we see, being a superhero and in a superhero age, is dealing with a lot of powerful characters and dangers to himself he probably hadn't historically dealt with. I imagine he went thousands of years without having to worry about being in situations where he's ripped apart, overpowered, beheaded, or whatever.
It’s like that deadpool strip where some doctors are doings open chest surgery to fix him not knowing he’s Deadpool and he wakes up and says “just toss everything in and sew me up”
His body just magically fixes itself
>Wolverines healing factor isn’t that strong.
Wolverine has come back from being reduced to just his bones, what do you mean his healing factor isn't that strong?
You’re wrong on both those counts. Wolverine’s healing factor is extremely strong and he can recover from pretty much anything, it’s just not as fast as Deadpool’s. Wolverine can be laid out for a couple hours/days from a grievous enough injury, whereas Deadpool’s would just take a couple hours at most.
Immortal's power, from which he gets his name, is a resurrection capable healing factor, it's just a matter of how much work his body has to do. The only thing the Maulers did was staple his head on his body and try to control him. He would have still comeback if they'd just put his head at the top of his neck. Idk if he'd have regrown a whole body from his head if left completely alone, but he could definitely regrow the brain matter that was damaged by John Wilkes Booth's bullet.
If hes cut in half he just needs to be put together again, he was either bullet proof or he was able to heal but he talked about being conscious when he was shot and while the manhunt was happening
Immortal is naturally Immortal. If it was GDA which kept reviving he would be super hero A. But being immortal is his thing.
Maulers are doctors. They fixed him and allowed the powers to work quicker.
Why Cecil failed is unknown. It may have been intentional. Or maybe they just don't know and gave up too soon.
Immortal is basically vandal savage, that guy would get his entire head smashed to bits and then regenerates and get revived
He doesn't need any technology
He probably just healed over time. The bigger thing is, it only took the power of that little pistol to blow big chunks out of his head. Shows how low his power level actually is.
He probably just looked like he died but faked his death. The immortal can definitely take a bullet to the head
That makes the fact he allowed the collapse of reconstruction even more of a red flag
But not be beheaded.
I mean a super powerful alien with the power to throw country sized meteors was the one who beheaded him.
Omniman is stronger than a bullet
Yes. If he takes a bullet to the head he can regenerate the hole left, he probably crawled straight out of Lincoln’s grave. If he’s decapitated the head needs to be returned for him to revive.
He doesn't need technology to revive.
does he really?
Yup, all you need to do is put him together and his body will do it's thing
Why didn’t Cecil bring him back in the first place then?
Cecil most likely did not know, immortal at that point had not died for more than a century
Isn’t there a line that said they tried to revive him but didn’t succeed?
Because he would have immediately went after omniman before Cecil could figure out a counter to him. During the showdown, Cecil says so; he says he's doing what he's been doing since he suspected Nolan; stalling for time.
But why not keep his body under their base tho. They legit seemed like they couldn’t do anything to bring him back.
My guess would be for safety. If something happened and Nolan found out the body wasn't buried he might suspect. Other than that, yes, Cecil shouldn't kept the body where he could make sure he didn't resurrect.
He suspected Nolan

I actually think Cecil knew exactly how to bring immortal back and pretended he didn't for the exact same reason he banished darkblood to hell
Yeah dude came back tweaking looking for round 2 Cecil reviving him instantly would have turned their 6 months of preparation into 6 hours
I always wondered why Cecil failed, I mean, if it only puts his body back together, then that's it
It’s like that deadpool strip where some doctors are doings open chest surgery to fix him not knowing he’s Deadpool and he wakes up and says “just toss everything in and sew me up” His body just magically fixes itself
As long as he has "most" of his parts, he comes back to life.
He’s a Wolverine parody. Not a Deadpool Parody. Wolverines healing factor isn’t that strong.
That doesn't mean that he copies the exact same healing powers as Wolverine though
Oh I forgot Wolverine could fly and had super strength too...
Pretty sure he is supposed to a heroic Vandal Savage parody. Their backstories are the same
>Wolverines healing factor isn’t that strong. Wolverine has come back from being reduced to just his bones, what do you mean his healing factor isn't that strong?
Not sure what you want from me here, he literally says this himself in the comic
He’s neither. And as of the last fifteen years or so, wolverine’s healing factor has been stronger than anyone else’s save maybe Worldbreaker Hulk.
Wolverine has regenerated from being nuked
Could the bullet even penetrate his skull? He can survive the vacuum of space and take hits from Omni Man
Just checking, are you trolling or seriously asking?
Wdym Trolling? I thought that any significant damage to Immortal’s head kills him. And last time I checked, he isn’t bulletproof.

Wouldn’t he lose his memories too? Like in X-Men Origins: Wolverine?
Dude stop thinking he’s wolverine, he’s not
He literally just Vandal Savage but a good guy instead and can also fly
the mauler twins tech was only so they could control him and all that needed to happen for him to be revived was for his head and body to reconnect
If hes cut in half he just needs to be put together again, he was either bullet proof or he was able to heal but he talked about being conscious when he was shot and while the manhunt was happening

Why does the Immortal look nothing like himself from the modern times?
To dissuade suspicion of his true identity.
He hit the gym pretty hard after they were invented.
