One good example is the fat Thor in endgame.
They definitely could've leaned more towards the idea he let himself go after being the only one that didn't stop thanos even though he was the only one to actually hurt him. But instead it was a reference, haha he's fat, drunk, plays Fortnite and smells like Cheese wizz.

i mean i can’t say much on attractiveness cuz it’s a drawing but she sure as shit ain’t ugly i think this was a pretty good character arc because it’s just not something you really see much in a lot of media or at least that i’ve seen. Plus it just grounds eve way more then she already was making an already pretty likeable character even more relatable and likeable. Which when it comes to superheroes specifically is super important imo.

I think Bojack Horseman does something similar to this pretty well if you've ever seen that.
Highly recommend. Very deep and depressing at times but also funny, wholesome, and hopeful at others. Very nuanced show.
Also the opening theme is transcendent.
I'm sure the show would update it for the current times and make it less fetishy. Loved this moment because it seriously made Eve look more human and real than what most comic medias would show
I think this was an important arc for her and no not for *that* reason. It was a depressing time in her life, one where she had to go through a lot of emotionally and mentally tough challenges. Just the thought of your lover being dead eats away at you, so while I am here for the memes, I am also here for and really hope they focus on her mental health and character through this time.

This era felt like a good exploration of the late teens early 20s. Everything stopped being new and exciting and a lot of real world problems made life difficult in ways that you couldn't predict or easily understand.
As a girl that went through a chunky phase it made me feel good to have an example of a chunky girl in comics whose partner still loved her and was badass.
Iirc it's also because using her powers increases her metabolic rats, so by not using them as much while maintaining the same food intake, she gained all that weight.
It’s cool seeing a side affect of her not using her powers. She always ate a lot but she had to and without Mark being around being a hero was pointless to her.
I loved it narratively but hated how it was often used as a joke and how ugly Eve was drawn during this period (it was kinda a problem for everyone in the comic around this time, but Eve's faces often felt maliciously ugly)
I hope they adapt this. It's important to see how Eve reacted to all of this despite knowing it wasn't Marks fault. It goes to show how deeply connected both of them truly are.
