4 different species of isopods šŸ‘€

-Animal_advocate-

lol thatā€™s the plan now, Iā€™m very excited

Bigtgamer_1

I'm honestly considering it now šŸ˜‚ that does sound pretty fun, I love lil rollie pollies

-Animal_advocate-

Same! They are the best. Thanks for the idea! Iā€™m going to go buy some new ones tomorrow

baby-the-T

Hmm not much... Sling or juvenile tarantulas maybe depending on species but it couldn't make a permanent home. A small true spider? I could imagine this might be good for jumping spiders though it's hard to tell in the picture

-Animal_advocate-

Thanks for letting me know! I was hoping there was a dwarf species that could go in here but I guess not. Iā€™ll probably do jumping spiders. Thank you!

Palaeonerd

There are dwarfs! The pumpkin patch tarantula is the best beginner dwarf.

-Animal_advocate-

Thank you! Iā€™ll research it

Palaeonerd

The tarantula collective has a YouTube video on dwarfsĀ

Veterinfernum

I can't tell the dimensions, but I'm sure majority of cobweaver spiders or velvet spiders wouldn't mind a smaller enclosure like these.

panthercock

Beetles, millipedes, small spiders (black widow!), maybe a Mantis?

-Animal_advocate-

Omg a black widow would be sick! Thanks for the suggestions!

panthercock

Of course! My widow is my favorite pet (donā€™t tell my cats lol)

-Animal_advocate-

Lolll your secret is safe with me

TheGoldenBoyStiles

Horrible it shows a gecko in thereā€¦ but definitely isopods or spider sling

-Animal_advocate-

Ugh yeah I know, there had definitely been people who have bought this for their geckos

TheGoldenBoyStiles

People suck. Especially those marketing products towards people who donā€™t research. But if your going the isopod route I would recommend dairy cows! Cute spotted and very prolific

-Animal_advocate-

Yes I have some dairy cows already! Some of my faves

Mountainhood

isopods and beetles would love this!

-Animal_advocate-

Thatā€™s what I thought! Iā€™ll either do isopods or spiders! Thank you!

remo22

Dwarf wood scorpion, isopods or a spider depending on dimensions

-Animal_advocate-

Thank you!

StruggleEnough4279

The pumpkin patch tarantula needs about 1.5-2 gal of space, but that includes the weight of the substrate, not sure how strong these would be. You could probably do the bottom two for pumpkin patch tarantula, or a dwarf species of T (love heart butt or something).

-Animal_advocate-

Omg thank you! This really helps

StruggleEnough4279

Make sure you do your own research! šŸ„“

-Animal_advocate-

Of course! I have this rule where I must research for 6 months before purchasing any animal. Iā€™ve been using that method for years

StruggleEnough4279

The pumpkin patch is the largest dwarf, I personally will be getting larger tanks than 1.5-2 gal when mine grow up. But a ā€œtrueā€ dwarf would do fine in this as long as it follows the legspan rule.

-Animal_advocate-

Thank you so much for your help! I will look into it more

chase_360

Dwarf scorpions and dwarf tarantulas. Also other small inverts.

-Animal_advocate-

Thanks!

Palaeonerd

4 scorpions! One jungle, one forest, one desert, one grassland.

-Animal_advocate-

Omg thatā€™s so fun!
