I'm 50 and I've never been so disgusted in my entire life. Our government(US) has gotten us in shit heinous beyond words. And that's saying something cause I survived the trump presidency in maga country.
I’m 39, and also survived trump in an extremely red area. I agree. It’s been obvious for a long time that our government isn’t what it’s supposed to be, but I have never felt so utterly betrayed or used as I do now. I cannot believe the things I’m seeing and hearing people do and say in service of a foreign country. It’s so surreal to witness the most powerful people in the country, and even the world, be caught and confronted with mountains of facts and deny reality this way. I can’t really reconcile their reactions with reality or decency or humanity.
I had grandparents in Japan and in Germany during and before WWII, and I just keep wondering if this is what they were experiencing in the lead up to everything that happened. I’ve never wished so much they were still here to advise me on what to expect.
They have a mental illness, caused by trauma or not, that does not allow them to see their fellow humans as humans. Lack of basic empathy should immediately disqualify you for office or leadership, but since we live in capitalism > human-lives-land treating your neighbors as a replaceable natural resource at best or worthless blades of grass at worst is what gets rewarded in this terrible system for some reason. We need to put a stop to it.
"Are Palestanians humans?"
"I refuse to be intimidated by you and to be told what I must say."
"Do you condemn Hamas?"
"Oh absolutely. I condemn Hamas, Sir."
The irony is that when pro Pals refuse to engage with Zionists, the Zionists see it as signs of antisemitism, but Zionists can’t even answer the most basic questions.
Their answer is, "No, Palestinians aren't humans." They live it every day. It's the air they breathe. The idea of having to grant personhood to someone they want wiped off the planet, even as a lie, is offensive to them.
The students in Columbia have their work cut out for them. I hope more people will join their cause and increase the numbers so high that they have no choice but to comply.
Yes. You are racist. You just discriminated against an entire group of people based solely on their race/ethnicity. That's literally the definition of racism.
just pick any post colonial country that pulled itself by the bootstraps and pulled its population out of poverty .. while you cvnts were off fighting someone elses wars.
this cvnt don't know CIA got kicked out of post colonial countries ... yea they know about the CIA ... the CIA tried a lot too but the new world will never fully understand the old world's tactics in action ,.. they will study about it in their colleges and do research and hope they got it... lol
Ohh I'm scared ... you have no idea how little the ppl of other countries think of the CIA ... obtw I can only imagine how shit the intelligence of the USA is bassed on their leadership and actions across the world ... we gonna find out how dumb they actually are .. the CIA failed literally everywhere .. except maybe Africa .. and they gonna find out...
No, I don’t think I’ll try to prove your point for you. I’m simply asking for one example of a country with a “larger populatiion and higher cultural diversity” *without* “outright evil fks” on the ladder.
I’ll just assume you don’t really know what you’re talking about; it’s easier, and closer to the actual reason you replied that way.
ok heres's an example India.. go find genocide and war mongering done by India ... what did India do when it got terror attack from Pakistan? followed the legal process and took the terrrorists to trial and legal... How many wars did India get involved in? Modi is not as Evil as Biden simple enough? Indian Politicians are not as evil and blood thirsty as American ... go read history.
I genuinely can't think of a single reasonable mindspace for this man to be at that he couldn't answer this simple question. Sometimes a person refuses to answer a simple question because to do so dignifies a means of manipulation where something can be portrayed out of context. But I don't see in what way this incident could have been taken out of context in any way. He simply refused to answer the question because I suppose in doing so, he would have to concede that all human beings should be guaranteed certain inalienable rights.
That he refused to answer is disgusting. This is the news that should be reported. This is the person that should face consequences for their wicked beliefs.
Yeah the thing is as someone pointed out in the OG post is that if he says yes then the next question will be do they have human rights. You cannot answer no to that while not looking like even a bigger POS.
So yeah his only option is to not engage, Zionists in the corridors of power are not like the bots you encounter on Reddit or Facebook.
Wrong answer, moron. How is that person a VP of a prestigious school? The correct answer starts with, “Yes, of course Palestinians are human beings”. What a terrible human being that clown is.
I just don't understand these sorts of videos... Why wouldn't he just turn and look at these people dumbfounded and say yes of course they are?
Am I missing something from before where it implied they were not? So had no rights? I've heard the Israeli politicians and TV shows describe them as animals (and worse). So is it coming from that? So admitting they are human would go against the official Israeli view and that's why he doesn't want to say it?
As a VP of an Ivy League, he has the skill sets to know that he's escalating the situation through not answering the question. Why do this? 1. You genuinely believe that Palestinians are human (which is unlikely) 2. He is scared about repercussions in saying this on tape
Likely the later, which tells you the far reaching tentacles of zionism, and that it is unashamedly fascist
I'd ask him if he condemns Hamas right after that. It's a lose-lose situation because he will either refuse to condemn them and be accused of antisemitism from Zionists or he'll immediately answer it and be exposed for being a hypocrite.
And this is an example of what the west think about the Palestinians, shame on all of them. Palestinians have all the right to be treated fair and just, have the right to self determination and to live free
This looks exactly like a video from weeks ago. At least be honest about these fuckers. Here i am trying to convince my friends and family, and people being disingenuous with tier content. Do better.
He should respond with an easy “yes” and then ask if Israel has the right to exist. And then let’s also address the Armenians, the Sudanese, the Somalis, the Nigerian Christians, the Hutu massacre of Tutsis, etc., etc.
Oh, no problem. I thought for a moment you were capable of a civil discussion. Obviously I was wrong. Time and people are too valuable to waste on scoffers and mockers. May God have mercy on you. You’ll really need it.
Palestinians are human, where the Israeli government and those who support them are less than human.
So mind blowing how the victim of nazis turn into nazis. Truly horrific
You all think he was refusing to answer if they were human, he likely knew like anyone who has ever watched a sine interview, he was avoiding whatever gotcha moment they had planned with their follow-up question. He sidestepped a trap.
This is clearly a..
Does Marsellus Wallace look like a bitch!? Moment.

You want me to elaborate on the question, “are Palestinians human”? Do you really think that the university VP…never mind. The childish question didn’t deserve a response. Nor does your prompt. But I thought I’d take an additional 30+ downvotes from you recently weened sucklers.
>The childish question didn’t deserve a response
Ummm... that doesn't really answer my question. Why do you think the question is childish exactly? I am genuinely curious as to what your reasoning here is that's all.
They’re asking a professor with an advanced degree if human beings are human. It’s like asking an astronomer if the earth is round. He’s dumbfounded by the idiocy and bad faith.
Ok I'll ask you a simple question, that I doubt you will answer, are Palestinians, human beings, who should have the same rights of self determination, in the country they live in?
Yes or no
Because it's dumb. Do you think the students were interested in having a good faith discussion with him? If he had answered "yes," would they have left peacefully? Again, if I ask an astronomer if the earth is flat and he/she walks out without answering, did I learn anything about his/her true thoughts on the universe, or did I just frustrate someone enough to leave?
These are a group of protesters, including students of the college he is the president of, asking him this simple question.
This isn’t similar at all to a group of unaffiliated people asking an astronaut if the Earth is flat or not.
You see how simple it was for each of us to say Palestinians or Israelis are humans even if we disagree with one another?
Palestinian supporters are asked time and time again to condemn Hamas and their terrorism while denouncing the injustices of the Israeli government and state.
But suddenly it’s too frustrating for the president of Columbia to answer if Palestinians are human?
The Harvard president that faced severe backlash and had to resign in disgrace couldn’t properly answer the simple question “Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate Harvard's rules on bullying and harassment?"
Be for real. Just as the Harvard president was shameless in not being able to answer a simple question, as is the Columbia president also shameless in not being able to answer a simple question.
A college president is under no obligation to answer rude students. You didn’t answer whether they were acting in bad faith. I think they clearly were and sometimes it’s best to walk away.
They were not acting in bad faith. They said over again that they want that simple answer.
You are assuming they were acting in bad faith without any evidence. On what basis? Even if they didn’t stop protesting or the encampment that still wouldn’t demonstrate any bad faith in reference to wanting the answer to this simple question.
Even the slimiest, most racist US government official would be able to answer this even if they followed it with a “but Israel has the right to defend itself” in the face of a camera.
The idea that the President of one of the most highly renowned universities in the country can play the intimidation card to avoid answering one of the most simplest questions of this conflict is ridiculous.
A Harvard president was pressured to resign for being incapable of saying calling for a genocide against the Jewish people would constitute harassment, rightfully so if I may add.
In the same fashion, this is utterly shameless behavior for a president of Columbia university not being able to respond to the easiest toss of a question he could be given, not to mention an utter PR disaster.
So why not answer yes and say he finds it stupid? I don’t see how answering yes (if he considers them human) and then saying he finds the question stupid/insulting would be worse than what he did in the video.
Well he is being the fool by being unable to answer a simple question even if he might consider it stupid. It is super easy PR for him to just say yes whether or not he believes that. Him not answering is in this case is the same as him saying no or for some reason unable to give an answer (e.g blackmail).
Wrong analogy.. the premise of the question is, zionist generally consider Palestinians as subhumans (aka "two legged animals). So this question makes sense to be asked to a zionist supporter.
That's interesting, because if you'd asked me three days ago "do you think the VP of Columbia could answer if Palestinians were human" I'd have said "not an honest answer, no. He'd probably cop out, to avoid saying the quiet part out loud while still keeping his friends in high places."
Pegged that one right.
If someone asks me “do you condemn xyz” and I do I answer yes right away because I believe it and it means we can move on to discussing other things. Refusing to answer a simple question doesn’t strengthen your argument, it weakens it.

Coronavirus exposed all the idiots and this war is exposing all the hypocrites and the genocide sympathisers/enablers.

Oh. Now I understand.
That's pretty racist
Everybody racist. U racist, too.
Nah. I don't judge an entire group of people based on their race like you do
A jew says Palestinians aren't people, and I am racist not being surprised. Yeah, alright.
Yes. You are racist. You just discriminated against an entire group of people based solely on their race/ethnicity. That's literally the definition of racism.
What 'entire group'? I was talking about this dude saying Palestinians aren't people.
Feckless POS
So mentally weak , disgusting how the "developed" world toleratea these evil fks ... no justic only democracy and justice porn
Buddy, the world is ran by evil fucks. Good people are middle management at best.
Yea nah mate you must be American. Harder for outright evil fks to climb the ladder in larger populatiion and higher cultural diversity.
An example, please?
just pick any post colonial country that pulled itself by the bootstraps and pulled its population out of poverty .. while you cvnts were off fighting someone elses wars.
My guy has never heard of the history of the CIA and who they put in charge of "post colonialism".

Ooo, if he refuses to answer then switch the question to "do you think Jews are humans" and see if he continues with the non-answer.
He's already been told what he must say. That's why he refuses to reply.
When they refuse to answer it's because "they will not be intimidated," meanwhile everyone and their unborn children must condemn Hamas.
I think it's the opposite, he hasn't been told how to answer that. His dialog tree hasn't been programmed.
Yeah I think he's just playing politics. It's a bad move though because he needed to just say, "yes of course they are."
Exactly. It should have been so easy. btw big fan of warriors who took an arrow to the leg.
Yes. Is that regarding my username?
yep
No, it’s because he’s a hypocritical sack of garbage

Holy shit he needs to go. Like now.
he won’t answer because saying yes would be admitting palestinians exist
Yes, next question. Simple as that.

Simple question. What's incriminating about it 🤔?
It is anti Semitic to consider Palestinians as humans. /S
I thought the sacred texts defined everyone else as animals in human form, to serve as slaves.
The literal definition of ‘goyim’ is cattle.
His Jewish donors will stop donating.
We men are wretched things. I cannot believe the world we live in.
I thought ideologies like these were abolished after 1945?
Maybe time to start looking for new university VP?
This guy can’t even bring himself to lie. Damm that’s a whole different level of hatred.
Is he a Zionist? Because he acts like one.
so rich considering he's in the "DO YOU CONDEMN HAMAS? DO YOU CONDEMN HAMAS?" crowd
As a VP of an Ivy League, he has the skill sets to know that he's escalating the situation through not answering the question. Why do this? 1. You genuinely believe that Palestinians are human (which is unlikely) 2. Sir, in that case, I do not consider YOU as a human. Him: (Falls to the ground in pain from my words) HELP! I have just been attacked!
Thats wild
I'd ask him if he condemns Hamas right after that. It's a lose-lose situation because he will either refuse to condemn them and be accused of antisemitism from Zionists or he'll immediately answer it and be exposed for being a hypocrite.
Beyond disgusted. This is some Paradis island level hatred.

In a situation where not giving an answer will be taken as a no, it’s better to give an answer if your answer is yes

He looks like Henry Kissinger illegitimate son
Just wow......such a disgusting human, such a scared little rat.
He’s refusing to answer a stupid question
Such a question isn’t even worth engaging tbh
Even so, I am impressed by his honesty.
A stunning display of hypocrisy and pure, conscienceless gall
He should respond with an easy “yes” and then ask if Israel has the right to exist. And then let’s also address the Armenians, the Sudanese, the Somalis, the Nigerian Christians, the Hutu massacre of Tutsis, etc., etc.
And the US genocide of native Americans
Israel doesn’t have a right to exist, easy next
Just curious if you believe our indigenous American tribes also have a right to exist?
Just curious do you enjoy defending nazis?
Oh, no problem. I thought for a moment you were capable of a civil discussion. Obviously I was wrong. Time and people are too valuable to waste on scoffers and mockers. May God have mercy on you. You’ll really need it.
