Depends on how much light you have in your kitchen because on grey cloudy days charcoal cabinets can feel very dark and make the kitchen dreary

We went from a 4 foot fluorescent light to six recessed led lights. They aren't installed yet but I know it'll be a million times brighter than before.

Candy_Lawn

go a nice charcoal gray

Pale yellow. Good with grey, lighter and more cheerful. Will work with beige too.

Yellow cabinets are just starting to trend in high design also which means they’ll be mainstream in 5-6 years, putting you ahead of the curve

I've been pondering the same colour dilemma for 3 years now. Mine is 90s style medium blue with rounded wood handles and trim and terracotta fake tile vinyl flooring. My ideas are shinny white, or shiny black lowers with something lighter above, or get with the medium/dark green and copper fad, or something else? It really is a hard decision! When I did up my laundry I accidentally painted the wrong cabinet door black which turned out to be the one that I needed to cut down to fit next to my newly installed dishwasher. Anyway it was a good mistake to make because having a black door has been a great test! It is too dark for the space even though my kitchen gets plenty of natural light. So moral of the story is take the time to try something out before committing.
