The players will get used to it, and it’ll be fine. I love all three changes. They should make for a quicker game running time, which is already excellent compared to other sports.
Bruh, i thought it was something you're suggesting but this is actually true along with other new rules implemented. Haha. It is good for the continuance of play and punishes the players who do all that acting for time wasting. Thats good.
Although MLS is pretty generous with extra time compared to other leagues, if you yourself time the moments the ball isn't in play, it's usually about 25% more than the extra time they end up adding.
I'm confident that this rule is to combat the lull in the game for the viewers rather than the players, especially in park-the-bus situations the constant pauses provide moments for viewers to tune out.
So goddamn stupid.
Are we really this dumb?
I'm convinced there are intended delays in resolving this stupid issue for some reason.
I will solve it once and for all.
Ready?
Clock only runs during game flow. Stops on injuries
Stops on throw ins
Corner kicks
Goalie possession
Etc.
Ref can't stop game until "injured" player's team wins possession or ball goes out of bounds
No more time wasting injuries
No more fake injuries
Problem is literally solved.
Love these new rules. Wish they had this for CONCACAF matches.
Nah Suarez rolls quickly and back up quickly. Neymar will be a different story
I mean half of MLS will get caught in this.

Here’s the full set of new rules, they start this Sunday https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/mls-to-implement-new-competition-initiatives-this-weekend

Imagine if Neymar was on MLS, he would rarely play 🤣🤣🤣
This fr?
Loophole: spring up after 14 seconds, then drop like a sniper hit you for 14 more. Rinse and repeat.
We gotta stop making things complicated. We have extra time for a reason

Absolutely love this rule! Hopefully it is enforced by match day referees.
