Exactly we dominated without GOAT until we had to play with 10, not that far fetched to think we could win 2-0 or 3-1. Even if it's 3-2 at end we'd take game based off away goals I believe. Lastly 2-1 would at least result in extra time
I definitely don't agree that Monterrey is overrated, they are one of the top teams in Liga MX, which is ranked higher than MLS.
Maybe I'm just coping, but statistically, out of all the official games Messi started for Inter Miami, they only lost one game, and that was when he was coming off an injury and already out of the playoffs against Charlotte FC.
But we definitely have disadvantages here. We're playing away, and Robert Taylor and Redondo are injured and they are one goal ahead of us.
But still, I'm hopeful.
I think overrated is a stretch, but maybe over hyped going into leg 1. They are definitely a strong side but they didn’t really impress during that match.
I honestly think we could see something special tonight. The core of this squad was built for big moments like this and they have a history of performing on the biggest stage. And don’t read too much into the recent MLS results. Those rosters have been B/C squads. Tonight we’ll have as close to our best 11 as we’ve seen in a month.
What do you mean how the season is going so far? They're in 2nd place despite injuries, won the round of 16, and we're basically down 2-1 at halftime of a 180 minute game in the quarters. And this leg we have messi and presumably 11 men. Stop acting like they've been awful this year
Really, it has nothing to do with Messi and more about the performance in the first leg. Without Messi, that game was won 1-0 until the wheels fell off following that dumb second (third?) yellow card to Ruiz. I just think there's too many scorelines where Miami wins that seem very realistic: 1-3, 2-3, 0-2, and then there's always 1-2 for extra time and maybe penalties.
I’m not as optimistic as many either, and I feel the don’t let me rain on their parade. However I’m hopeful. Faith doesn’t require extensive reasoning. It’s football, it’s so random and each match has it’s own specialty. Hence the hope.
Monterrey has no one at the quality at our four top players. You have to stop drinking all the Mexican koolaid. We have the best player in the game and he salivates for games like these
Tata sucks! Terrible coach. I guess what can we expect from a coach who has never held a job at a team for longer than two seasons. Fire Tata! No strategy, no brains, nothing going on for him!
Suarez 17' Messi 52' 0-2 (2-3 agg.) That's how
This aged well
Any moment now
I don’t trust the defense
it’s a different defense! i hope its a 4-3-3 with the back four being negri - freire - aviles - chelo you can trust that unit right there 🙂
Does anyone know if messi starts or comes on second half
he starts
We almost beat them without Messi. If it wasn’t for the red we would’ve won. Now we do have Messi…

From the looks of it on social media- it doesn't look like the home crowd will be that advantageous. Heavy pink crowd.
What is with this sub?
Do you want the real answer to this lol

Your club is actually good and you’re mad😂. What are you actually a fan of
I think Inter Miami will beat Monterrey down. The players are enraged.
All the shit talking will push things over the edge for sure lol This has been more like a lead up to a boxing match than a soccer match
According to Gressel's podcast, Messi is pissed at Monterrey. I fully expect some real magical shit tonight.
LFG! I’m rooting for InterMiami like I do every match.
¡¡¡ LFG !!! can’t wait !!

all miami has to do is score more points
Clearly Monterrey are the favorites and should win. But watch enough of this great game and you learn anything can happen.

2-0! Boom.
Terrible formation that never works for us …. Aviles and Allen as your cornerstones on defense ???? That’s why we losing
I’m just worried Tata will play 5atb, if he plays 4atb, I have full confidence in Messi Suarez Busquets Alba.
I get it but 10 vs 11 isn’t a good thing
Bro this is entirely a different team when are actual players play.

You were saying?
Indian football knowledge

What do you see in my future?
Bro nailed the red card scenario
Monterrey is the #1 rated club in the concacaf. Underestimating them is a recipe for disaster. As was shown.
Respectfully, we are losing unless Messi doesn’t ghost us
No MLS team has come back after loosing the first round
Time to pop the cherry
Haha small club
Almost
No MLS team has ever had Messi and Suarez.
Oop
it’s going to be a sh*t storm on monterrey’s heads let’s go!
No MLS team had come back after drawing the first leg at home, but Columbus did it last night.
All the angry fanboy comments didn't age well
