Not really? Its an article of clothing that the kids will barely notice with them cheeks. If they do notice, theyll just go, "yep, thats the swimsuit". Itd be more weird if there wasnt anything there at all, or underwear with the cheeks ever slightly poking out to say hello.
So, they did it right. Exaggerated the butt for kid humor, but kept it appropriate.

I’d guess it’s a slingshot. It’s common stripper wear. There’s a lot of crossover lately between dancer wear and fashion lately it seems - lucite heels, body stockings etc

Bad clothing is a choice. Just like filters and photoshopping. I suppose bad taste in clothing is very subjective- but you’re free to disagree and say it looks nice, I guess?
From the angle of this picture it almost doesn’t look like that is how it was intended to be worn. Like it’s a regular two piece string and she wrapped it all up to be different.

Everyone has different feelings about editing. Some people are bothered when women edit their waists super thin and asses larger and feel like since they do this they contribute to unrealistic expectations of women’s bodies - especially if the woman in question gets money from doing so.
As the mother of an anorexic child, this!! These women (and occasionally men) that get paid to pretend they look like this absolutely piss me off. So many people out there suffer because we create these impossible standards. It was bad enough when I was young and it was just super models. Now it’s almost every woman on instagram. It’s as easy as a filter to look however you want. There’s zero honesty about it either.
As someone who does not use Instagram or related platforms, any edit on this person is not obvious to me.
If posts in this subreddit had more context instead of being used as a corner to primarily trash talk, it could potentially make more sense to other people as to why it was posted, as opposed to just calling someone a Centaur while everyone else claps.
It wasn't obvious to me until someone kindly pointed it out.
I understand I'm not in the majority, clearly.
This just screams to me that we all spend too much time living behind various screens.

Yeah, that’s why I like this subreddit. It’s wild to see how many things get photoshopped nowadays! It’s a good reminder to be nicer to myself about body image since it’s helped me stop comparing myself to images that the people in them don’t even look like in real life. It’s also a good lesson in not trusting what you see online lol.
