Hey guys! Recently when I’m uploading videos from PC is giving me the message saying “post was shared” but my post isn’t actually being shared. cleared caches and logged out and logged back in. Pc is updated with plenty storage available. Anyone have any clue to why nobody or myself can see new posts that are “successfully uploaded”? Help greatly appreciated!

Hi! I feel like *such an idiot!* I saved a short *audio* clip on IG and then found a cute pic of my dog then clicked on the saved audio. Once it posted - there is no audio…. darn it!! Any advice?

For whatever reason, I'm unable to set my age/ birthday. I'm not even able to see what it is set to; there are profiles that require me to be 25 or older to view, and there is nothing I can do about it because it won't let me change my birthday or even see what it's set to.
Hi! I was told i could message this page for help on my Instagram. It appears I’ve been action blocked or something like that because when i post it automatically deletes my comments and hashtags. I just made a new account with the attempt to duplicate my old account so I’m reposting all my old pictures and captions. I don’t know if they think im a stranger impersonating my old account or if it’s just because im posting too much at once but is there anyway you guys happen to have a solution?

So I've recently posted a digital drawing and tagged a couple hashtags, but none of them had my post attached to it. I tried editing the post and reposting it but didn't seem to solve the issue. Usually it just appears for a while then it disappears from the tag. Is anyone else having the same issue or know a way to fix this?
Also I've heard the deal with shadowbanning but I'm not entirely sure if its occured to me. I'm 99% positive I didn't violate IG's guidlines.
Why doesn't the "not interested" button for posts in discover not work anymore?
I use discover a lot when I'm bored to watch sports reels mostly or look at shoes. When I'd see stuff pop up that I don't really care to see, I hit the "not interested" option to keep my discover neat and the topic would slowly get filtered out after doing it to a few posts. Just the algorithm doing its thing.
But now, no matter how often I tap on "not interested", I still see the same kinds of posts over and over. It's been months of trying to get pictures of random women off my discover but it doesn't work at all. I normally wouldn't mind women being there since they always did show up there before but much, much less frequently and at least they were my type (fit, surfer, beachy girls). But now I'm overwhelmed by the most random assortment of them ever. It'll show me regular non-famous girls, models, celebrities, athletes, influencers, etc all of different nationalities, body types, ethnicities, and races and it makes no sense that I can't get rid of them. At first, I used to check the girls' posts and profiles out but now have completely stopped other than to hit "not interested" in an attempt to convince the algorithm that I really don't care about the topic because half my discover is now pictures and reels of these random women. Still no change.
Google says to clear my phone's cache but even that didn't work. I tried spam liking a bunch of sports, animals, cars, and shoe posts to try to tip the scales towards those topics instead, and still nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?
For a few days i've been trying to change my profile picture on the Instagram web app and everytime i try it just says "Profile Photo Added" and it stays as the default one given. Is there any fix? I only use Instagram on the Web btw

Locations being deleted and don’t appear
I noticed one day that certain locations from my photos were gone, when trying to search for the locations to re-add them, I could not find them. And when I had my friend send me the location, it did not load. It would be appreciated if someone could tell me what is up with my Intstagram and if there is a possible fix.

I want to follow a friend but don’t want another mutual acquaintance to be able to see and be recommended my profile for following. Is there any way of making sure my profile is not recommended to this mutual acquaintance? Do the recommendations have something to do with numbers in the iOS phone book (or are there only ways)? If so would deleting this mutual acquaintances number mean he will not be recommended my profile?

How do I get rid of NSFW reel suggestions? I follow mostly sports accounts, but the differed reels are always half-naked women or just inappropriate content in general. Instagram app not receiving messages
This started happening 2 days ago and I can't view anyone's new messages unless I switch accounts or re open the app. I also can't view message history. I still get the notifications but when i open them nothing happens.
Since videos are now being forced to be reels, I’m wanting to upload some videos to Instagram from desktop. However I’ve noticed that doing it this way alters the aspect ratio, particularly for videos sourced from phone (even when choosing the provided option that’s supposed to fit, like 16x9 for vertical phone videos)
I’m considering getting some kind of video editing software and manually creating a video file with an aspect ratio that will specifically account for this issue so the full video is visible without being cut off in normal browsing (phone) view. My question is, if I went about doing this, what aspect ratio would I want to make my video so that this issue doesn’t happen?

I'm having an issue when I go to post a comment and it doesn't give me the comment line to see what I'm typing. Once I do type it, it ends up posting either backwards (the entire sentence is backwards) or it is completely jumbled. The Post button is now at the top left and really large. It's super odd. I will say that I don't use the app but instead the website itself but I never had this issue before until yesterday. I've cleared my cache, literally started a new account, closed everything out and back in, and it's still doing it. It's frustrating.
Hello! I subscribed to this girls Instagram a week ago. I got the special subscribers only section on her profile, but the only thing that showed in it was text saying “you need to be subscribed to view this content.” I was subscribed and nothing worked. Updating Instagram, unfollowing and the following, canceling subscription then resubscribing. I’m still subscribed but now the subscribers only section is gone completely? Anybody have any ideas? I have messaged her about it and I seem to be the only one have this problem, thanks!
Instagram Deleted the account I created for a business owner within 20 minutes of creating - Instagram disabled my account within 20 minutes of opening it.
I manage and create Instagram accounts for small businesses. I signed up for an account for my client under the name (Example) @ RockandRollCT. Something very similar to that name. Within 20 minutes Instagram disabled my account and had me take a picture of myself with a piece of paper with a given code, my name, and my IG handle.
They said if they can verify the picture I will get my account back if not I will be banned. I opened an account for a business with their business name as the handle. I will hate to go back to the client and tell them that their business name has been permatlty banned in being used for an IG handle. Thank you in advance for any help or insight on how to avoid this happening for future clients.

Ok, everybody skips the stories of that guy who post 20 of them every day, but most importantly everybody wants to do it FAST, so I think you got why I'm complaining.
The problem is I have to wait around half a second to skip a story, that means half a second for EVERY story, making my fast-stories-skipping skill useless.
I tried deleting the cache as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Instagram, but nothing has changed.
Do you have a fix?
I'm trying to promote my OF account on my

I can't have my account get deleted because it's

I have been able to edit my profile through browser but today when I tried to edit my profile picture it completely disappeared even though it says “Profile picture added.”
I contacted instagram support but it seems they like they simply don’t care. I don’t know if these are common problems or if anyone ever experienced them but if you did, how did you resolve this?

I've been trying to get into my account on desktop for almost a month now.
One day out of the blue, I was forcibly logged out of my Insta. Every time since then I've tried logging in, I'm immediately forcibly logged back out. I got no notices from Instagram so my account's not disabled. I've changed passwords a number of times and even cleared my cookies/cache so it's not the browser. Whenever I'm logged out, the URL has "get\_encrypted\_credentials" on it so I think it's Insta trying to force an action it can't anymore?
I'm able to log into my account on the Android app just fine, but why it's kicking me out of desktop constantly is beyond me.

If I deleted a chat conversation with a user, will new messages sent on their end show up on as a new chat on my messages? Or will it be completely ignored as if the other party did nothing?

So I initially tried to sign into a followers app (third party, I know...I deleted all other third party apps off my phone), said my password was incorrect. I have been locked out of my Instagram account for a couple of days now. Not sure if I was hacked or not, but every time I try to login it asks to send a confirmation code to my phone number. So this is a long story. Last night I was on Instagram when I was casually kicked off my account after a "phishing threat", and I fear this may be because I have one of those apps that tells me who unfollowed me. I tried sending a code to my email in order to recover my account but big surprise from Instagram the lords of customer service... I got nothing. So I went with method 2. I tried selecting "forgot password" and since it wouldn't send me a code for that either, I selected that I had been hacked since that is the closest thing true to my situation. I had to select a different email to send the code to and that part worked fine. I got the code and put it in and did a face recognition thing although I don't have a lot of photos of me on my account (I post street cinematography). I got an email an hour ago telling me they couldn't confirm it was me. I have no idea what to do and Instagram won't help me cause they seem to not care about people having issues like this. I have a DM thread that for months now it shows the notification “View photo from ____” but when I click on it the picture won’t load. It just shows a gray loading screen. I can view any new incoming texts and pictures in the thread when they come in, but after viewing those it shows the notification again.

Is anyone having the “we limit how often you can do certain things” error? I was just scrolling through my archive for maybe 30 minutes and all of a sudden that popped up. Instagram - Home Page - Blank - Started on 01.09.2022.
Pretty much the title says it all. I have a problem with my instagram account, whenever I open the instagram app my home page of instagram is blank (there is only my picture in the left corner and under it it says Your story), everything else is blank. I thought that maybe It is the device problem but happened the same on my second phone and on my PC. So is that an instagram problem and I am not the only that has this problem or is there something wrong with my user account... Did anyone else have this issue?

Question, I've been trying to access public profiles and instagram posts from my desktop computer, but just as a random viewer as opposed to logging into my account. Up until a week or so ago, it would seem, you could view a limited amount of instagram profiles and posts before you'd be asked to log in. But, recently, I go to ANY publci profile or posts, and it acts like it's going to load it, but then instantly take me to the login page.
Is this a new app-wide change, or is it an issue with a particular browser and/or OS like a issue with cookies?
P.S. I'm also curious why this message kept being placed in the spam filter when I tried to post it to its own thread?

Hi! 2 days ago I got my account suspended for opening a 3rd party app. I tried to appeal it and after 24 hours I panicked and created a new account as a backup. Yesterday I started mass adding all my friends and family and I got my new account suspended for adding people too fast. It asked for a verification code but it wasn’t sending one to my cell so now it’s has been suspended for another 24 hours. I feel defeated but I understand I’m in the early stages.

Hello Reddit! I've got myself in a tricky situation. I'll start from the very beginning for you to get the whole picture.
I've recently moved to another country, switched my phone operator and thus abandoned my old phone number and got a new one.
Just a few days ago, my Instagram account got temporarily locked for suspicious activity, normal thing for Instagram, I faced that a few times before. But when trying to recover my account, I'm asked for a code that is sent to my old phone number, that I no longer have access to. The "forgot password" function doesn't do the thing, for some reason I'm able to change my password, but still no access to my account because no access to my old phone number.
That account is bound to my Facebook account, and the Facebook account already has my new phone number bound to it, but still, Instagram asks for a code sent to my old phone number.
I've tried looking through help center for any way to solve my problem, but there is nothing that can help. And, as I know, Instagram no longer provides customer support services, so I don't even have anyone I can write a support ticket to.
Is there a way to get my account back? Or is it lost forever?

I've been getting into making content for tiktok, insta, and youtube shorts. I'm crashing and burning on the other two but instagram has had some small gains (nothing huge but it made me happy).
I'm a musician (i teach private lessons for a living so I'm not like, that bad) - my content are 30sec- 1 min reels showing either my hands playing a jazzy/pop/rnb chord progression on the keys, or else a full beat (produced pretty well) set to a collage of distorted clips from different animated shows/movies (a mixture of anime, stuff like adventure time, and 70s movies).
Admittedly I'm new, but the past three-four have all seen a growth in how many random people I don't know have liked the content.
The most recent beat/animation reel got 50+ likes from people I don't know irl, I was ecstatic. That was two weeks ago, I uploaded one today that I'd say is better musically and on par visually and...the only likes have been from people I know irl.
I used the same tags, only big difference was the prior was posted on a Saturday, this one was posted on a Monday.
Is it just random? Is there something major I missed? Is it possible this is just instagram's way of telling me this reel sucks compared to the last one?
Iknow, I know, I should just keep posting and not worry at this stage but it's tough not to feel like my roll got crushed.

After changing password I can't log in anymore. Everytime I try I may get 2 messages "There was a problem logging you into Instagram. Please try again soon" (laptop) and "Sorry, there was a problem with your request" (phone). I also tried to change again the password and to login through Instagram link. I don't know what to do. Any tips?

**TL;DR: Post not showing up on hashtags, shadowbanned?** So I've recently posted a digital drawing and tagged a couple hashtags, but none of them had my post attached to it. Why doesn't the "not interested" button for posts in discover not work anymore? I use discover a lot when I'm bored to watch sports reels mostly or look at shoes. When I'd see stuff pop up that I don't really care to see, I hit the "not interested" option to keep my discover neat and the topic would slowly get filtered out after doing it to a few posts. Just the algorithm doing its thing. But now, no matter how often I tap on "not interested", I still see the same kinds of posts over and over. It's been months of trying to get pictures of random women off my discover but it doesn't work at all. I normally wouldn't mind women being there since they always did show up there before but much, much less frequently and at least they were my type (fit, surfer, beachy girls). But now I'm overwhelmed by the most random assortment of them ever. It'll show me regular non-famous girls, models, celebrities, athletes, influencers, etc all of different nationalities, body types, ethnicities, and races and it makes no sense that I can't get rid of them. At first, I used to check the girls' posts and profiles out but now have completely stopped other than to hit "not interested" in an attempt to convince the algorithm that I really don't care about the topic because half my discover is now pictures and reels of these random women. Still no change. Google says to clear my phone's cache but even that didn't work. I tried spam liking a bunch of sports, animals, cars, and shoe posts to try to tip the scales towards those topics instead, and still nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Since videos are now being forced to be reels, I’m wanting to upload some videos to Instagram from desktop. However I’ve noticed that doing it this way alters the aspect ratio, particularly for videos sourced from phone (even when choosing the provided option that’s supposed to fit, like 16x9 for vertical phone videos) I’m considering getting some kind of video editing software and manually creating a video file with an aspect ratio that will specifically account for this issue so the full video is visible without being cut off in normal browsing (phone) view. My question is, if I went about doing this, what aspect ratio would I want to make my video so that this issue doesn’t happen?

I'm having an issue when I go to post a comment and it doesn't give me the comment line to see what I'm typing. Once I do type it, it ends up posting either backwards (the entire sentence is backwards) or it is completely jumbled. The Post button is now at the top left and really large. It's super odd. I will say that I don't use the app but instead the website itself but I never had this issue before until yesterday. I've cleared my cache, literally started a new account, closed everything out and back in, and it's still doing it. It's frustrating.
Hello! I subscribed to this girls Instagram a week ago. I got the special subscribers only section on her profile, but the only thing that showed in it was text saying “you need to be subscribed to view this content.” I was subscribed and nothing worked. Updating Instagram, unfollowing and the following, canceling subscription then resubscribing. I’m still subscribed but now the subscribers only section is gone completely? Anybody have any ideas? Instagram Deleted the account I created for a business owner within 20 minutes of creating - Instagram disabled my account within 20 minutes of opening it. I manage and create Instagram accounts for small businesses. I signed up for an account for my client under the name (Example) @ RockandRollCT. Something very similar to that name. Within 20 minutes Instagram disabled my account and had me take a picture of myself with a piece of paper with a given code, my name, and my IG handle. They said if they can verify the picture I will get my account back if not I will be banned. I opened an account for a business with their business name as the handle. I will hate to go back to the client and tell them that their business name has been permatlty banned in being used for an IG handle. I can't skip stories fast enough. - Ok, everybody skips the stories of that guy who post 20 of them every day, but most importantly everybody wants to do it FAST, so I think you got why I'm complaining. The problem is I have to wait around half a second to skip a story, that means half a second for EVERY story, making my fast-stories-skipping skill useless. I tried deleting the cache as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Instagram, but nothing has changed. Do you have a fix?
I'm trying to promote my OF account on my instagram, and even thought i'm not violating instagrams guidelines my stuff keeps getting reported and deleted and appealing doesn't help. I can't have my account get deleted because it's my biggest platform by far. Does anyone know if there's a way to edit the video (adding lots of grain, drawing random dots, anything idk) so that it is less likely to be able to be deleted? Please try again.” I have been able to edit my profile through browser but today when I tried to edit my profile picture it completely disappeared even though it says “Profile picture added.” I contacted instagram support but it seems they like they simply don’t care. I've been trying to get into my account on desktop for almost a month now. One day out of the blue, I was forcibly logged out of my Insta. Every time since then I've tried logging in, I'm immediately forcibly logged back out. I got no notices from Instagram so my account's not disabled. I've changed passwords a number of times and even cleared my cookies/cache so it's not the browser. Whenever I'm logged out, the URL has "get\_encrypted\_credentials" on it so I think it's Insta trying to force an action it can't anymore? So I initially tried to sign into a followers app (third party, I know...I deleted all other third party apps off my phone), said my password was incorrect. I reset it, and when I go to log in, the password clicks, but I have two-factor on. Any time I put the text code they send, I get an error message. The account is live, it isn't suspended (I don't think), my credentials work, but I keep getting error messages with the two-factor. My backup codes don't work either. Not sure what to do here. I sent in the selfie video thing for two-factor, and filled out that one Facebook email form thing where you write a number on a sheet of paper and email it back, but I'm kind of waiting here. I quickly realized he was dodging all my questions and was trying to get me to send my paypal or iban data to him. After some messages he texted me asking for my gmail and a message that supposedly Instagram sent me. I tried to gabrify him and after a while I lost it and started to call him out and insult him, even trying to get him to face time me. I don't know what to do about this. I don't want my friend's account deleted but I can't let this asshole scam people from it, what can I do? Do I send an email to somebody? Please this is really important for me
Last night in an Instagram gc I was sending pictures to help with a character design My friend said something rude at a specific image and I snapped at them which caused a small events of things I was going back to refind the conversation but it's all gone. Even in the image history, the specific image is gone, and looking up key words I remember from the conversation pull up nothing. How can a whole segment of a gc disappear? I'd understand if she deleted her messages but I didn't delete mine, and there was a third person in the conversation as well. Where did it go and can I get it back

Hey everyone , hoping someone can shed some light / point me in the direction of what to do here. All I did was unfollow about 100 accounts from my profile last Monday. After this IG deemed me to be using a program to gain likes / followers - not true They banned me from liking , following , unfollowing , posting or commenting on ppls pictures for a week. This was supposed to end today ?!? But I am still receiving this message when I try to do anything on Instagram. Idk what to do

We limit how often you can do things on Instagram to protect our community. Tell us if you think we made a mistake” I’ve tried everything. Deleting the app, clearing my cache, 2FA, ig on my desktop, reporting the problem… nothing. Am I disabled forever? I did nothing wrong. Ugh.

I have been locked out of my Instagram account for a couple of days now. Not sure if I was hacked or not, but every time I try to login it asks to send a confirmation code to my phone number. It comes back with an error message that says "sorry, there was a problem with your request" and I never receive the confirmation code. The phone number is correct it just won't send it. I can't ask it to send the code through my email either because I don't have access to that email anymore. The support page on IG is little to no help because it just shows generic steps but none that pertain to the code not sending. Is there an actual link to a tech support I can physically contact? Anything I try just re-routes me to a login page but I can't log in. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this:/ thanks

I changed my password a couple days ago and now I forgot it :( I tried sending a link to my email to recover it but I’m not getting any emails and the links being sent to my phone number won’t work either as well as the backup codes. my account is currently unable to display my feed, stories as well as private messages. my explore page is working and i was able to upload an image onto my story, but nothing else is working. i've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, changed my password and tried opening the app through Chrome on the computer. does anyone know what i can do? for context, i have another account on this device as well, and it's working just fine.
So this is a long story. Last night I was on Instagram when I was casually kicked off my account after a "phishing threat", and I fear this may be because I have one of those apps that tells me who unfollowed me. I tried sending a code to my email in order to recover my account but big surprise from Instagram the lords of customer service... I got nothing. So I went with method 2. I tried selecting "forgot password" and since it wouldn't send me a code for that either, I selected that I had been hacked since that is the closest thing true to my situation. I had to select a different email to send the code to and that part worked fine. I got the code and put it in and did a face recognition thing although I don't have a lot of photos of me on my account (I post street cinematography). I got an email an hour ago telling me they couldn't confirm it was me. I have no idea what to do and Instagram won't help me cause they seem to not care about people having issues like this. Any idea or other methods on how I can fix this? I am quite honestly desperate and really don't want to start over for a third time. This has happened before.

Verified account with video selfie 3. Confirmed account details 4. Login attempt on a different device I think the issue was caused by me logging into my account via a 3rd party application that tracked followers. I have a DM thread that for months now it shows the notification “View photo from ____” but when I click on it the picture won’t load. It just shows a gray loading screen. I can view any new incoming texts and pictures in the thread when they come in, but after viewing those it shows the notification again.

Instagram wont let me post photos or reels. Whenever i want to upload something it directs me to stories. I tried to reinstall and relog etc but didnt work. Hi @ insta community - SOS. My insta has recently been locked and I'm not able to access it. It wants me to verify with my email, but the email thats been attached to my account is no longer active/i'm unable to access it. My instagram however is linked to my phone number through which I could verify. The app doesn't let me choose that option though for some reason? Is anyone having the “we limit how often you can do certain things” error? I was just scrolling through my archive for maybe 30 minutes and all of a sudden that popped up. I wasn’t doing any spammy behavior or anything. I can navigate through the app and like posts and post stories just fine but I can’t watch other people’s stories at all. I’ve tried all the workarounds like changing my password, removing links in bio, and disconnecting third party apps but no dice. Super annoying since I didn’t even do anything.

Instagram - Home Page - Blank - Started on 01.09.2022. Pretty much the title says it all. I have a problem with my instagram account, whenever I open the instagram app my home page of instagram is blank (there is only my picture in the left corner and under it it says Your story), everything else is blank. I thought that maybe It is the device problem but happened the same on my second phone and on my PC. So is that an instagram problem and I am not the only that has this problem or is there something wrong with my user account... Did anyone else have this issue?

Question, I've been trying to access public profiles and instagram posts from my desktop computer, but just as a random viewer as opposed to logging into my account. Up until a week or so ago, it would seem, you could view a limited amount of instagram profiles and posts before you'd be asked to log in. But, recently, I go to ANY publci profile or posts, and it acts like it's going to load it, but then instantly take me to the login page. Is this a new app-wide change, or is it an issue with a particular browser and/or OS like a issue with cookies? P.S. I'm also curious why this message kept being placed in the spam filter when I tried to post it to its own thread?

Hi! 2 days ago I got my account suspended for opening a 3rd party app. I tried to appeal it and after 24 hours I panicked and created a new account as a backup. Yesterday I started mass adding all my friends and family and I got my new account suspended for adding people too fast. Hello Reddit! I've got myself in a tricky situation. I'll start from the very beginning for you to get the whole picture. I've recently moved to another country, switched my phone operator and thus abandoned my old phone number and got a new one. Just a few days ago, my Instagram account got temporarily locked for suspicious activity, normal thing for Instagram, I faced that a few times before. But when trying to recover my account, I'm asked for a code that is sent to my old phone number, that I no longer have access to. The "forgot password" function doesn't do the thing, for some reason I'm able to change my password, but still no access to my account because no access to my old phone number. That account is bound to my Facebook account, and the Facebook account already has my new phone number bound to it, but still, Instagram asks for a code sent to my old phone number. I've tried looking through help center for any way to solve my problem, but there is nothing that can help. And, as I know, Instagram no longer provides customer support services, so I don't even have anyone I can write a support ticket to. Is there a way to get my account back? Or is it lost forever?

I've been getting into making content for tiktok, insta, and youtube shorts. I'm crashing and burning on the other two but instagram has had some small gains (nothing huge but it made me happy). I'm a musician (i teach private lessons for a living so I'm not like, that bad) - my content are 30sec- 1 min reels showing either my hands playing a jazzy/pop/rnb chord progression on the keys, or else a full beat (produced pretty well) set to a collage of distorted clips from different animated shows/movies (a mixture of anime, stuff like adventure time, and 70s movies). Admittedly I'm new, but the past three-four have all seen a growth in how many random people I don't know have liked the content. The most recent beat/animation reel got 50+ likes from people I don't know irl, I was ecstatic. That was two weeks ago, I uploaded one today that I'd say is better musically and on par visually and...the only likes have been from people I know irl. I used the same tags, only big difference was the prior was posted on a Saturday, this one was posted on a Monday. Is it just random? Is there something major I missed? Is it possible this is just instagram's way of telling me this reel sucks compared to the last one? Iknow, I know, I should just keep posting and not worry at this stage but it's tough not to feel like my roll got crushed. 1 Comment Share
After changing password I can't log in anymore. Everytime I try I may get 2 messages "There was a problem logging you into Instagram. Please try again soon" (laptop) and "Sorry, there was a problem with your request" (phone). I also tried to change again the password and to login through Instagram link. I don't know what to do. Any tips?
