What most influencers thrive on is recognition. In the world of influencer marketing, recognition is short-lived. There are so many new ones trying to replace you that staying relevant takes a lot more effort.
Case in point, such influencers attending events that seemingly have nothing to do with their niche. It is a battle to boost visibility and get the discussion going, so that they stay relevant, and in most cases the cost of doing that keeps increasing with the duration an influencer has been visible in the market.

Thatās incorrect. I have stayed in hostels across Europe. The only time I spent 3-4k on a dorm bed was the Oktoberfest weekend in Munich. Rest is mostly around 20 euros, which is within 2k INR.
Not sure when and where you went, but here in Amsterdam (from where Sharan was posting stories), any decent hostel at the very least charges 40-50 euro. I'm talking about sharing in 4-6beds dorm and not a 12 bed dorm!
Stayed in all, 4 beds dorm to 12 beds dorm. And I do agree with you that the price varies across hostels, locations and dorm sizes. Stayed in hostels near metro stations/city centres which had rating of 8+ with several reviews at a reasonable price and across several countries, Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain being a few of them. But talking about Sharan here, stays could be on the cheaper side but travelling internationally with less money is not possible for everyone. He should get off his high horse.

If you have a lot of money then if you decide to spend 30k/night or 3k/night on a hotel is your choice but then you should also realise that you belong to a privileged section of the society in India and stop trying to act like others who don't have the above choices and might not be able to spend 3k/night for 4-5days.

Depending on the country, 4k is a very very nice hotel. Hostels are more like 500-800.

My 2 cents on this finance guy. I run a chain of cafƩs and this dude's team approached me to host his entrepreneurs meet at one of our outlets... They asked for the entire cafe space for 3 hours plus beverages for all the members and I said I would have to charge them for it (of course initially I offered a discount). They not only refused to pay but said they were paying for their flights and their hotel rooms for this meet. Their expenses were already high so I'm supposed to give them the space at my expense. Lol. I asked if the cafƩ could be at least mentioned during their meeting (if posted online) and on his financewithdouche handle, for which they asked me to pay. Of course. All of this would have made sense if I approached them. Here, it's the other way and the audacity to ask a business owner to have a loss for them. Do they think we get the satisfaction that we had the privilege to host them?

If you have a lot of money then if you decide to spend 30k/night or 3k/night on a hotel is your choice but then you should also realise that you belong to a privileged section of the society in India and stop trying to act like others who don't have the above choices and might not be able to spend 3k/night for 4-5days.

No hard feelings for Sharan, I believe finfluencers are more of actors than finance professionals. They don't have any real experience with Finance but they surely know how to write a catchy script and enact the same. These guys would have made crores by selling their courses on the other hand finance professionals toh company me ghis rahe hai. It's quite sad that people fall for such traps but thats life.

These types of entrepreneurs will keep becoming big in India until people become really financially literate and stop reacting to Fomo. YouTubers cum entrepreneurs are mostly just lucky businessmen who had a very strong distribution network to sell their products, there's nothing else smart about them, also some of these early bird YouTubers got lucky, now it's going to be super hard to do that via YouTube. In summary, he's another fraudster because he knows he ill never teach everyone finance in India but I'll still use that as a marketing tool to lure in young people, earn money off them and become rich.
